The location is great 20mins from airport.
We were in block 4. Good size room. Nice and clean. The room boy was great.
The resort is fantastic. Great layout all flat. So many places to choose from to have a drink and relax.
The Palm... the buffet restaurant. Always a good selection. Staff couldn't do enough for you. We had a couple of issues but they were resolved quickly.
By far The Bistro restaurant was great. Fantastic selection of food. French Great service
The Ranchero, Mexican food. We arrived for our table at 8:20pm. We had booked for 8:30pm. We were told to go away and come back at 8:30pm. If my husband had his choice we would have left the booking but I wanted to wait for our table, which we did. They could have offered us to wait inside but we sat outside and waited. Sort of sploit the night. Food was ok.
Del Mare seafood restaurant. Not quite got it right. Our starters were seafood soup. Very nice.
My husband had fish and chips. There was nothing but batter hardly any fish. I had calamari it was over cooked. The location of this restaurant is great.
We had breakfast there. That was very good. You could only have breakfast there if you upgraded to ultra all-inclusive which we did.
The new bars there are brilliant.
Entertainment every night in The Fancy Flamingo. Amazing. Staff friendly.
Entertainment at The Stage. Something every night.
Sunset bar. Fabulous. Great staff. You never waited long for drinks. Staff great, friendly.
Zaitouna bar. Great layout. Good location. Staff friendly.
Tropicana bar was great. Although the majority of the staff was great there was one particular member of staff who was a pest he kept asking my husband for his t-shirts. My husband told him no but he persisted.
The Bella Vista...wow great. Fantastic views. Lovely location, brilliant cocktails 🍸. Loved the rockstar martini. Staff here were fantastic. Couldn't do enough for you
Finally we did do the option of ultra all-inclusive. We thought is was worth it.
If you are considering this hotel download the app and have a look.
There are shops across the road outside the hotel. If you fancy a stroll in the evening.
A trip to the Marina was great.
We would definitely go back.
Absolutely amazing experience! We had dinner at the Ranchero Mexican restaurant and it was one of the best evenings of our whole stay at Desert Rose Resort. The food was delicious, authentic and beautifully served. But what made the night truly special was the staff! The guys in sombreros and ponchos were so friendly, smiling, attentive and full of energy. You can really feel they love what they do. Thank you for the wonderful atmosphere and for the lovely photo together as a memory. The restaurant itself is beautiful - warm wooden interior, cozy Mexican vibes, right by the sea. One of the best à la carte restaurants in the entire resort. Don't forget to book your table in advance via Guest Relations - it's worth it! Thank you for a perfect evening!
This is my 10th visit to Egypt.
This hotel has lots of positives but unfortunately the negatives out weigh them. Booked for my 2 daughters, granddaughter and I. The room had 4 singles beds in and no room to move. I asked guest relations the following day for a larger one and was told this was what I’d booked. It was meant for 2 hence the 2 cups, 2 bath towels etc.
I had to ring reception for basics like toilet roll, towels, coffee etc then wait over 1 hour each time.
The food is ok but nothing special. The bathroom is in need of a refurbish, dirty grout etc.
Our flight was late in the evening and check out was at 12 midday. We couldn’t pay for a late checkout as non available. They don’t have a shower room - you have to ask if they have an empty room to shower in.
Some positives…… by
Staff are amazing - can’t do enough for you.
Beach is amazing, plenty of beds and a bar on the beach.
Flamingo bar was excellent my daughters tell me (it’s for over 12 so I babysat).
The entertainment was good of an evening, professional acts rather than their own staff trying their best and was tucked away in its own space so you could take it or leave it.
More than one pool, one nice adult only with comfy sun beds. One quiet where you don’t get harassed by sales or loud music.
Plenty of sunbeds around the pools.
Would I go back ? Yes I would but I’d stay in a bigger room.
I had a wonderful stay at Desert Rose Resort, but what made it truly unforgettable was the incredible birthday surprise. The team left a delicious birthday cake in my room, which was such a thoughtful and lovely gesture! The hospitality here is outstanding, and the staff really goes above and beyond to make guests feel special. A huge thank you to the entire team and especially to our housekeeper for making my birthday so memorable. I highly recommend this resort and can't wait to return!
I can not believe Desert rose is 5 stars, it should be at least a 7 star resort it has got to be the best resort I have ever been to. Not only does it have everything you need, the staff can not do enough for you to make your holiday extra special. I never normally go back to the same place but this time I booked again as soon as I got back
