my friend, sister and I stayed here overnight because we went to see Hamilton and it was a good stay. We were walking distance from everything we needed and when we checked out in the morning, we could leave our bags there until we were ready to go.
Did hotel quarantine it was great friendly staff weren’t too intrusive answered my question the facilities have been updated although the tv is running the first Foxtel and doesn’t have too many channels was still good
Very quirky, perfect location for Darling Harbour, ICC, Lyric Theatre and access to public transport including ferry and light rail. Would recommend to anyone who doesn’t like the typical city hotel room “box” like feel. Stayed in a two bedroom room: included full kitchen, mini laundry, large living space, two full bathrooms and two large spacious rooms...
Can be a little loud in the back room as it backs onto the universal hall way but easy to block out, this back room is also very dark but the light brightens the whole room well.
Friendly staff, terrible rooms and amenities. Rooms have a lot of damage and are noisy both because of large drafty window facing outside and window of bedroom facing outdoor hallway. They were mouldy/musty...
Checked out almost immediately and booked elsewhere.
Firstly a great sleep- the bed was really comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and service at the desk prompt. The location is great for quick access through to the Darling Harbour/Harbourside area, but the undercover shortcut through from Level 2 via walkways and the carpark needs to be pointed ou- I only found out by reading a review on this site! So much easier when wet or not wanting or able to easily manage an uphill walk. However, in our one bedroom apartment the bedroom was super tiny and one suitcase on the floor was all we could have. Lighting was very dim in the living area and there was no natural lighting...
We had no view at all, other than whatever runs behind the hotel, even if we had been able to open the very long curtains. A very weird set up at least on the second floor- there were little areas outside your door which were all fenced and gated off, giving the whole corridor a jail type feeeling, not to menton noisy gates. Lots of loose floorboards in our room at least, and the fixtures and fittings look like they need replacing, with holes under the laundry sink. Also there were a few bugs, beetle looking things in the bathroom, hallway and a couple in the bedroom one of which ran out of my empty suitcase after I'd left it sitting upright but unzipped overnight . Ewww! There is supposed to be an accessible 'lift', more like a big perspex box in a sperate doorway, to get into the building from street level, but when we arrived this contraption was not working so we had to lug our suitcases up the 10 or so steps up to reception. We alerted them to this fault, so hopefully it was fixed. There is a Concierge service but we never saw him actually do anything and he seemed quite grumpy. All in all, location is quite good and if you're not fussy, this place may be ok for you. We expect a little more in terms of hygiene and homeliness and what we had didn't match up to any of the photos I'd seen . Sorry to say we won't be returning.
