Never in my life have I been so unhappy with a service. I would not recommend for anyone to stay in this terrible Hotel.
I had booked a room for me and a friend on hostelworld...
When I arrived at the hotel we were not greeted which was fine first thing that came out of his mouth was passport ... no hello no nothing. So after we were given our key to our room. First of all the bathroom was a mess, the bed sheets looked dirty and did not look like they had been cleaned. 5 minutes from arriving we get a call from reception (from an old man called Tom) saying that we had a room booked for 1 person even though we had been given a two single bed room. As I was showing him my email that stated that I had room booked for two, he proceeded to shout at me in such a horrible manner stating that I was wrong and he was right even though I had showed him my confirmation email for the room. I asked to see a manager or someone else above because I didn’t not want to waste my breathe on such a vile man. He ended up calling someone whom I started to speak to over the phone. As I was speaking to the gentleman over the phone “Tom” started shouting at me calling me a liar bringing his face around the table shield with no mask about 5cm away from face and again proceeded to shout at me and call me a liar. At this point in time I got very angry and demanded a refund as I didn’t Not want to stay at such a horrible place that don’t even know how to treat a paying customer right. The gentleman over the phone said that he will come over, hung up the phone on me and 10 minutes later he came to the front lobby. He introduced him self to be the owner and ceo of the hotel and that he would not accept there to be any shouting and to speak calmly. Just as he was saying that he started to defend his staff and say that I was in the wrong and the it was all my fault and that my email is not correct and that their system is correct and so on. He then said that we shouldn’t be in the lobby without a mask even though his staff had no mask and on two occasions had come so close to me during our argument. I told the so called owner/ceo of the company to check the camera which was facing directly towards us and to check how aggressive and intimidating this Tom guy was which he then proceeded to tell me how that wasn’t important.
I cannot even go on any longer about how horrible we were treated by Tom and the so called owner of this hotel! But everything from the beginning to the end of it was so intimidating and disgusting behaviour. If I could have given it a 0 star I would! But would not recommend anyone to stay here. It would be better for you to stay at a hostel or Airbnb. Do not even waste your money.
We spend two nights in that hotel. Room was nice, good view on the city and sea from the terrace. Breakfast was also ok...
It's not all inclusive but simple fair dinner. The person in the reception was smiled and helpful.
Having read some reviews I was a bit dubious about staying here, but luckily I had a good stay while looking for my permanent residence in Paphos. On arrival I was given a road side double bedded room (which I had asked and paid for) but asked to move to sea view (for which I was charged €50, which I didn't understand as the hotel was empty). And the only cleaning required was to change the bed sheets. The sea view room, although twin bedded, was much better and had the sun most of the day and amazing view. Breakfast was good unless you were a vegan like me and I had to supply my own soya milk and margarine. For which I wasn't given any reduction. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the location ideal for Old Town and jumping on the brilliant local bus service.
Me and my family were looking for a hotel to stay and I came across this hotel on booking.com. We were looking for a place the whole evening and were very exhausted of all the hustle. Once we came in the hotel a very grumpy receptionist started to act very weird and spoke disrespectfully to us like we came into his house...
We were very tired so tried not to pay attention. After trying to ask a few basic questions like: “What time is the breakfast?” We realised that our questions make the man very angry. So we just went in the room. Once we entered it we saw only one double bed when I paid for a room for 3 that is supposed to have 3 beds or at least a sofa that can be a bed. I went to the reception and said that there’s only 1 bed and there’s 3 of us. The receptionist started to get red and yell that people he works with are stupid. Then he took us upstairs and showed us even a smaller room with 2 single beds. I said that it’s still not a room for 3. He yelled at me to wait and went to get a cot. I said that it doesn’t make it a room for 3 so he said WHY DONT YOU TAKE YOUR MONEY BACK AND LEAVE ? I was very frustrated and the way we were treated was out of space. I never experienced anything like this. So much anger and frustration from a hotel receptionist that works in HOSPITALITY. Absolutely not recommend. They treat people like garbage.
My partner and I have just returned from this lovely hotel it is in a great location the rooms are very spacious and very clean the hotel couldn’t fault it pool area very clean plenty of beds staff really friendly can’t do enough for you I can’t believe the last review I have just read wear some person he’s going on about Tom I personally found Tom very very helpful very kind couldn’t do enough for us. Good breakfast plenty of choice and felt safe and secure in the knowledge they were doing everything possible to minimise the risk of Covid. Four value for money it has got to be one of the best hotels in Paphos we can’t wait to come back again next Year Paul and Sonia
