Most of the staff were extremely polite and always helpful.. The caregivers did not pay any attention regarding their duties.. Floor in room was always filthy.. Bathroom was not cleaned properly Receptionist and manager who I spoke to regarding filthy and used glasses in our room made it clear that it is our responsibility to wash!! Wash how?? Management needs to look into the cleaning of rooms....
The restaurant area.. Bathrooms on ground floor next to breakfast area was always filthy with an unpleasant smell. We had pointed it out to the receptionists a good few times. Not a very nice experience!!!
Fantastic holiday, had an issue with our air con, nikos the manager couldn't be more helpful, incredibly apologetic even though it was out of his hands, the issue was resolved straight away, he went above and beyond for us for the rest of our stay, the staff our very friendly. Gorgeous hotel would definitely recommend for couples and families. Thankyou so much
I have just returned from the Theo Sunset Bay. I stayed for 11 nights on my own and enjoyed every minute of it. The facilities are excellent, two pools, a pool bar, entertainment in the evenings and outstanding food in the two restaurants...
Lots of choice, sanitiser, masks and gloves are used whilst choosing your food and drinks. All of the staff were friendly, professional and very very hardworking. There is a spa and gym, where I tried the massage, it was very good. The hotel is just outside Coral Bay with it’s beautiful beaches. Paphos is a few miles away. There is an excellent bus service with stops outside the hotel. I will definitely visit again. I miss watching the sunset every evening. Just one little improvement, please add Cider to your All Inclusive menu. 😀
We arrived at around 10 pm expecting to get a quick bite to eat after settling into the room and having a sleep after a very long and tiring day.
We were given the key cards to the room. Very difficult to navigate where the room was.
Perhaps this is my own fault but I didn't realise how many steps there were to the rooms down the way which wasn't made clear in the hotel description. It seemed that the only way to the room was passing through the courtyard where a singer was performing, literally brushing past her which was very awkward to walk through where a few hundred people are watching.
When I got to my room, it was already open. some other British travellers said the same thing about theirs. What was more concerning about mine was the keycard didn't do anything! I tried to open the door with it and it just remained open -> i.e...
it wasn't locking when I closed it. I went to reception to complain and they gave me physical keys in stead. ok they circumnavigated the issue but I got back to the room after all those tiring steps after a long day and realised that there was no keyhole to put the key in. To cut a long story short the keyhole was taped shut and we had to remove the tape. We could only lock the door from the inside and then open it from the outside with a physical key. I had to call the reception from my own personal phone because the room phone wasn't working, the second man wasn't very helpful either.
I then realised there was no room service and nowhere to get food at the hotel. I was directed to a kiosk about 5-6 mins walk away which was frustrating. and could only get snacks.
They had an electronic do not disturb/make my room system on the outside, but it came apparent that the staff didn't pay any attention to this, coming in every time where it clearly said do not disturb. this happened every day!!
also there was no lock on my friends balcony door which we thankfully got fixed.
the bathroom is really poor and nothing like the photos the bed was too low
the breakfast was mediocre.
the staff mostly were really nice. the pool was decent
the view was incredible.
I liked the view but I would not class this as a 4 star hotel. 3 star at best.
Hi, For the past 15 years we’ve holidayed in Turkey. This year we had hoped to spend 3 weeks there. Obviously, that wasn’t gonna happen. So, with a little research, I came across this place...
We just wanted a simple switch with as little hassle as poss via Jet 2. Which we got, many thx Jet2holidays.
Now, we don’t do negative reviews, we like to give you sound advise.
Our room is huge. And cleaned daily; sheets and towels swapped, sometimes when not needed, but thx anyway.
The whole team of staff start at 7am-obs the kitchen starts earlier-reception, cleaners, thought-out the resort and bar staff, all on duty from 7am. And they don’t stop! Their entire day is spent looking after us, for our enjoyment and our holiday. When I mean us, I mean everyone here.
On arrive, reception give you opening times for bar and restaurant. If you’re a late arrival you’re given a sandwich. If you know you’re gonna be and we knew this, my wife bought extra sandies and drink at Stansted. Shame she left them on the shuttle train and yes, she’ll never live that one down. So, we arrived late, given key card and directions to room which is a minutes walk to the block on the right of reception, no steps. We booked a side sea view and that what we have and it’s fab and the room is huge. Bar staff can’t do enough for you. Once they know what you drink regularly, no real need to ask again, unless you’re me who has switched for vodka and coke to vodka and orange! That threw um for a min or 2.
Pool area fab plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Now, we’re nearing the end of the season-the sun beds are a little dated, tried and worn. I believe this will change for next season, just my opinion because they started to fill the holes that the umbrellas stand leading me to believe that at the bottom pool area weighted pool brollies will be used next season Bit of a problem atm as it’s a tad hot and sunny and extra brollies would be swell. Me thinks management goofed here.
Food. Breakfast: it’s all there!
Lunch. Who cares you’re on holiday and it’s too hot to eat anyway. As my wife has just pointed out, ‘can we see what soup they have’. Please, do not ignore the soap in the afternoons or evenings, a great start point.
Dinner. We have theme nights have a good poke about and don’t be afraid to stir the dishes a bit. It’s the same theme each day of the week. Do no neglect the gravies or sources, do so at your peril, someone in the kitchen knows what his doing. Look out for the pork dishes and sauces. Bread rolls are plenty and freshly baked. Condiments on offer. Deserts are full of calories!!
I have nothing negative to say, but this. Do not drink the water from behind the bar, go buy a bottle/s from the shop which opens at 9am(60cents) there’s something in it that tastes awful to my palette.
If you have a palette for wine, don’t bother. Trust me, it’s shocking. This is not the fault of the resort, obs. Just they get in. They do serve bottles of ‘fizz’. Stick with vodka, that’s my advice. Well, the wife is giving me the eye, so off to the restaurant, see what’s on offer…
Have fun, enjoy yourselves and make the most of it. It’s well worth it. Oops! Nearly forgot wear face masks when moving around and the plastic gloves at meal times. Tip. Screenshot of you vaccinations will save time when out and about as you will be asked for proof.
