Paphos

Situated between Paphos Harbour and Coral Bay, this family-run hotel is only 150 m away from the sandy beach. The village of Kissonerga with its archaeological sites, shops, bars and restaurants is just a short stroll away, Coral Bay 3 km. Paphos with its market, shopping and entertainment can be reached within 10 minutes by car. The international airports of Paphos and Larnaca are about 18 km and 130 km away, respectively.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Positive and negatives

Review by Sj59 Wirral, United Kingdom

Positive: views great. Staff very friendly & helpful. Junior suite- spacious...

Pools lovely but cold. Negatives: Def not 4* hotel, went all incl & food quality was mixed & repetitive. 45in tv on wall in room but only Greek progs. Lots of sun loungers but squashed tog & many in need of replacement. Sun umbrellas the same. Tea/coffee making in room but had to buy tea/coffee/milk from hotel shop. Entertainment was poor (2 singers alternating each night) & there was nowhere to go to escape it! Even in room- it was very loud. Don’t go here if you want walking access to nice Sandy beach-there isn’t one. Small things like broken waste bin in bathroom wasn’t replaced, window didn’t open in bathroom- we asked for it to be fixed twice- it wasn’t & we were told some windows were designed not to open🤔 despite hinges and a handle! If this hotel had been categorised as 3* it would have been realistic We enjoyed the holiday despite all this but we wouldn’t return & feel mislead by the Jet2 rating

FABULOUS hotel

Review by sharon m Folkestone, United Kingdom

This hotel was faultless and I know who writes these reviews its their opinion, so in my opinion this hotel is definatley 4 star. Its immaculate, staff are lovely, food is amazing. We went all inclusive and found the food wasnt as mentioned before repetitive as it has a different theme night every night...

The views are lovely, short walk to a traditional sea/swim area or walk the other way across the beach to" see you " beach bar. Toiletries replenished as used, tea and coffee replenished, all you needed to buy was milk. A walk up to the old town through a banana tree avenue was lovely. Its on the main bus route and stops outside hotel. You can go to coral bay for 1.5 euros or to paphos the otherway for 1.5euros. (Or by an all day bus pass hop on and off for 5 euros so you can go to paphos and catch next bus up to paphos Old Town and see the market and views? This hotel I would definatley return to, we aren't a couple to sit around the pool, it's a perfect base and a pleasure to return to after a day out and the cocktails are georgeous!!

Nice hotel

Review by bumblebee56 West Yorkshire

Under COVID rules this hotel made me feel safe. Very clean, hand cleansers everywhere and enough signs asking you to wear your mask and respect distance. The lift which is capable of taking 8 is now two people...

A lovely view of Coral Bay, indeed the bus takes you there from outside the hotel for €1.50. Masks on the bus which come every 15 minutes. The hotel is lovely clean and well presented. Reception staff absolutely wonderful, as indeed are the bar staff and dining room staff. No problem getting sun loungers and you can also get pool towels from the spa. Drinks for outside you can get from the bar or waitresses can deliver to you if you sitting outside. Doors and windows around the lounge area and dining room are open so might need a cardigan or jacket in evening. Room was very spacious and kept clean and bathroom toiletries replenished daily. Tea and coffee available in room. Now to dining, I agree with a lot of comments, food was always lukewarm. For me not four star quality food, but you can make a meal with the offerings. Also you are requested to wear a glove, all provided, to combat germ swapping on utensils whilst at the buffet. This indeed was a good idea. Reception managed to book an excursion for us and again felt safe. Well placed for visiting Coral Bay and into Pathos by local transport. All in all the hotel is great value for money but the temp of the food let it down for me a notch.

Wonderful

Review by Natalija K Bradford, United Kingdom

So we went for my birthday end of November for 10 nights. Myself, my partner and our 3 year old daughter. It was actually our first time in Cyprus...

We had the best time in Cyprus and in Theo Sunset Bay. It was nice and relaxed, not many people at this time of the year. It was clean, rooms cleaned every day, coffee sachets replaced daily too. Great views out of the window. Lovely pools. Nice food, I don't know what people talking about when they say food wasn't warm enough. Oh and snack bar - the burgers were the best we ever had at a snack bar. Proper burgers, toasted buns, chips, salad. Highly recommend to try. Good location, bus stop just outside hotel to Coral Bay and only short walk to bus stop to Paphos. Fare is only 1.5 euro one way. But the main thing that makes it is STAFF. If I was an owner or a manager I would be so proud of my people. Michael all around a cool dude, Anastasia, Kristina, the two lads at the restaurant. The was one lady I didn't catch her name and I'm so sorry - dark hair at the bar. And the Queen - Krasimira. So nice and kind and paying attention to epveryone especially kids. She's a real credit to the hotel. However I had to knock a star for facilities. Beds were very annoying. Was moving every time we moved especially sitting against the head board. Showers were a bit hit and miss. Nice that were two shower heads but hot water was coming and going while showering. Also indoor pool area really needs upgrading and water could be a bit warmer. All that said it was great and we can't wait to be back.

Beatiful relaxing holiday in winter

Our holiday at the hotel was fantastic. We spent 6 days in an apartment with a sea view (to Coral Bay). The holiday here was peaceful and relaxing...

The weather in December is sometimes rainy. When it's not nice outside you can go swimming in the indoor pool or work out in the gym. Even though we were here during Covid, the guests were considerate and observed wearing masks and safe distances. We enjoyed the food, they have a great selection at breakfast and some options for celiacs and vegetarians. If you are hungry you can go to the bar for a snack or burger. There is also a small shop with souvenirs, basic groceries and water shoes. The front desk staff is friendly, 24 hours a day, and can lend you a travel adapter for charging. The beaches in the area have pebbles but the water is clean. There is also one spot of sandy beach on the coast below the hotel. The nicer sandy beaches are in Coral bay, the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. The bus cost is 1,5 euro and the journey takes 15 minutes.
