Lovely location and hotel

Review by Laura S Stafford, United Kingdom

We paid very little for one week half board here with tui end of Feb 2020. Its a really nice hotel, in a great location. I loved most of the food as it is mainly Spanish (unlike some, I don't complain there isn't enough English food!!) I think they cater for everyone food wise...

There is a microwave if you want your food hotter, not an issue for us. We walked up the cliff penon de ifach and this is not an easy walk and requires good shoes. Bus stop is round the corner from the main entrance if you want to go town. Room was cleaned daily and to a good standard. We had a fridge in the room so used the supermarket to stock up on vino which was nice. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would return quite happily. It's right on the beach with with bars and restaurants close by.

OK for short stay

Review by linpinGlasgow Glasgow, United Kingdom

Spent a 4 night short break here 01 Jan in hotel, not apartments Positives - good location near beach and local shops/restaurants, nice big rooms with sofa and our room was on first floor above entrance and had a large balcony which caught afternoon sun, reception and restaurant staff were very nice. The pool area is lovely. Negatives - the main issue for us was that what should have been hot food was at best, lukewarm. We did mention this to reception but next night was the same...

We therefore ate all other meals elsewhere - we tried the sister hotel the Diamonte and although they had more choice (its 4 star), their 'hot' food was no warmer! Our room had a small efficiency kitchen but it was locked up so we asked for a kettle which appeared quickly but there were no cups or teaspoons and our request for these wasn't answered. You need to wear a cap in the swimming pool but we observed people swimming in the Diamonte without them.

Amazing Visit, Lovely Location

Review by leighpatterson Durham, United Kingdom

I visited this hotel with my partner on a Jet2 holiday. From the moment we arrived we both experienced amazing service from the people on the front desk to the people behind the bar. We had an all inclusive package which was well worth the money...

The food is served as a buffet which was ideal for us. The hotel is located near a variety of bars and resteraunts if you wish to look elsewhere for something to eat or drink. There are also 2 supermarkets nearby to go to for anything you may need. Also nearby is a national park where you can hike up the side. This was a very good day out for those who enjoy hiking. The room we were given was better than we expected with not only a bedroom but a lounge and balcony as well. This made our time here even better as we found it very easy to relax in our room. It was cleaned daily and very efficiently as we would be gone for half an hour to eat and the room would have been cleaned perfectly. Overall, I could not reccomend this hotel more and we can't wait to visit again when we book our next holiday to Spain.

Lovely hotel with great staff

Review by tory1982 Paisley, United Kingdom

We visited the hotel as a family of 4 (2 adults, 1 child & 1 infant) for a 5 night mid week break with Jet2 holidays. We had a lovely stay at the hotel. I had chosen this hotel over others in the area for the indoor pool...

Sadly we only had the opportunity to use this once as it closed for maintenance a couple of days into our stay. I had checked in advance if pool towels were provided and was advised (on tripadvisor by someone from the hotel) that they were however when we arrived at the leisure suite we were sent back upstairs to get our bath towels. This was not ideal as it meant they were still wet when we showered. I would note you are also required to wear a swimming cap, even my 2 year old (not fun) and almost bald husband had to wear them. These can be purchased at the pool for a small fee. For it being off season the hotel was busy which is a good sign. Food was good and drink prices were reasonable. The restaurant staff were lovely. It was my daughters 1st birthday while we were there and they left her a tray in the room with balloons, cakes, a candle, candy, a t shirt and a bear made out of a towel. It was a lovely gesture and greatly appreciated. We did walk to the other side of the rock every day however that was because I. The 31 years I’ve been coming to Calpe that is where we have stayed and know people. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many bars with play areas. This is not as common on the other side of the rock. Room was ideal for what we needed. Nothing too fancy but clean, spacious and a lovely balcony with sea view. Perfect for what we needed.

Nice hotel

Review by patsybee60 northumberland

We had a lovely room on 2nd floor with sea view. Massive king size bed, loads of storage, walk in wardrobe with free to use fridge. The bathroom was a little dated but clean with fantastic shower, copious amounts of hot water...

The location is good, two minutes from the beach with bus stop nearby and two huge supermarkets across the road. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great and the resort was almost shut down with no local bars open, many with signs on saying open 1st March! The staff in this hotel are friendly and pleasant and the hotel is very nice, but if we were to go again, we would make sure it was after the first of March!
