The hotel rooms where quite small but there is bigger as you can change, there is no fridge and 2 plug sockets The cleanliness was overall very good staff friendly pool bar ok and the pool is small but quite deep and shallow Entertainment was very interesting and on every night and their is also children activitys In there during the day also a night bar At first there where a lot of Spanish in the hotel but after a few days staying there a few English had come in There is a WiFi stand where you have to pay I recon the 15 euros 💶for 30 days is quite good but it did kick us off on the last couple days My opinion:this hotel was good
My husband and 8 of his family flew out to Benidorm on 13/03/20 to celebrate his 60th birthday unfortunately Benidorm went on lockdown due to Coronavirus. On waking on the Saturday morning after breakfast went down to the front only to be told to get back to hotel. When arriving back they were told hotel was closing and they would have to leave the night before they had paid cash and they wouldn’t refund there money...
Managed to get a villa thanks to a distant family member in Alicante. They were told to claim monies from booking.com which they are having great difficulty now because this hotel are denying they put them on the streets and didn’t close until the 17/03/20 they were turned out on the 14th along with nearly all other guests.only the ones that were leaving the next morning were allowed to stay . BE WARNED.
I arrived on 13th March, for 3 nights, checked in and payed my balance in cash. On the 14th March after breakfast I was informed by the manager that the hotel was closing today and i had to leave by 2pm or the police would be called. The hotel refused to provide a refund, stating I would need to call when it re-opened...
The staff were not remotely interested in finding alternative accommodation for me, luckily I was able to secure a villa in Alicante via a friend but with no refund from the hotel. Booking.com have not responded to my complaint either. This whole experince will lead me to question taking the risk of not booking a package.
Room no 532.
OK, not bad for the price we paid, when we eventually got the key cards & got to our room neither of the cards would work, this was to continue throughout our stay despite having new cards, keeping them away from our phones & doing everything the reception staff told us to do they were constantly a problem, we were on the 5th floor immediately below us on the ground floor there were/are 4 fans running 24-7 not all that noisy but annoying, around 11-15pm the bottles from the bar are emptied making a right racket in a enclosed space at night this was shortly followed by the lorry emptying the bifa bins, the room faced the hotel next door about 40ft away !!, the balcony was small but useable if you wanted to look at a white wall with windows, the room was a little on the small side but more than adequate as was the en suite ( beware of the shower throwing water out onto the floor) always plenty of instant hot water.
The food was ok but not a great choice & not always hot but there is a microwave, I found the soup really good,
Now this is a hotel that seems to cater more for Spanish people & you can tell !!!
Especially at meal times.
The water in the pool was to cold to use but there is a small heated indoor pool on the 5th floor, not deep but you can swim in it -- just !!, the hotel is near the shops etc ,& not to far from the beach & the old town,
All in all not to bad, but we wont be returning, the Rio Park is far far better.
When me and my friend arrived, we were rather disappointed as Juan barely had any contact with us - the check-in was non existent. At this point we were not sure if it was because we were younger than all other residents, but we were unsure about facilities and additional costs as nothing was explained.
Due to the fact that we knew we were half board, we went back to the reception to clarify our concerns, however, after going back to the reception we were told that “all the info is on the card”. This caused more issues as apparently the times on the card we had been given were not correct as instructed at the pool and other facilities.
Due to the miscommunication of the staff, we went to the indoor pool at 17:50 and were asked to leave at 18:00...
Given that my friend is disabled, it took him the ten minutes to get in, to be asked immediately to get out.
The most infuriating part is that we went and enquired about the heated pool on the 5th floor at the reception and although it was written on the welcome card and we were personally informed by the receptionist, we were told as we got in to leave as it now closed at 18:00.
As we arrived at the room, we noticed that the terrace door was not locking, so we decided to phone reception and ask about the pool times and to report the door not locking, but I was advised that the manager/director would be informed about all above issues.
Not of a surprise, but I heard nothing about this, except that if I was still concerned about my property that I would have to pay 10 euros deposit and 2 euros a day for a safe. This due to the fact that my room was not securely closing! (I found this a joke that there was no safe provided and we would have to pay despite the hotel being at fault). At this point we learnt that everything in this hotel had a sub-charge; WiFi, safe rental, gym facilities etc.
The bad experience continued the next morning as even though we had put the don’t disturb sign on the door, the housekeeper kept knocking on the door from the early hours of the morning until 11:30. Of course, you can imagine that after a night out, this is the last thing that you want in the morning, however, the team member did apologise and informed us that the reason for the constant chapping the door was due to the fact that her sheet stated that we were departing that day - even though we still had another 2 nights.
We only managed to get food on our second night as we were not told where to go or times and by the time we found out, we were not allowed to eat that first night. However, I do not consider that it is worth adding the meal options as the food was mediocre. The choices were limited and the quality was rather poor.
