Still at this what I would call a retirement complex with self catering apartments to pay for the upkeep, pools on the complex not many at all most of the very cold the warm one very small wouldn’t want to come here when busy. Coffee shop on site very nice mini market very expensive not a lot of choice, restaurant that was open on a morning breakfast very expensive €28-50 euros. Beach is there one well very very small not that good...
Train that drives around the complex is ok but again wouldn’t like to be here when busy nothing to do really people with mobility mite find it hard, only good side getting into town very easy get the bus about €3 euros last bit if u want just a top up your tan holiday this is for you staff that we have seen very friendly and polite would I come back no I don’t think so
Marina park is in Costa club world,it's a vast complex,it has a wee train that takes you around it all,the reception staff along with every other person are wonderful,if we asked where a restaurant was they phoned porters that took us in cars everywhere we wanted to go,maids were happy and friendly, restaurants had lovely food, was only about five minutes from our apt down steps and under motorway,to back and 25mins slowly ambling along to shops and restaurants lovely, only one thing we were invited for free breakfast and chance to meet and greet,as it was my sister and I we thought it would be nice to meet others,it turned out to be three plus hours selling apts for weeks holiday,in my eyes, timeshare on upmarket basis, nightmare,I told them upfront I was with my sister not my husband, but main holiday was lovely but just beware x

We returned at the end of last week from a short break at the Marina Park Select resort (part of the CLC complex) near Fuengirola, on the Costa del Sol. The accommodation was on a self-catering basis, and proved to be excellent value for money. The apartment we occupied was all on one level, with quite a spacious bedroom and living room, along with good cooking facilities and a very satisfactory balcony with close sea views...
The resort itself was enormous, with many different constituent parts including (apparently) private villas, supermarkets, restaurants, and new apartments were also being constructed nearby. Much of the resort is built on steeply sloping terrain, which might pose problems to some, and our apartment was also a very long walk indeed from the centre of Fuengirola. However, we enjoyed the walks along the front to Fuengirola, and taxis and other transport options seemed in good supply. Indeed, an 'ornamental' free train service could take visitors around the resort complex, though it ran at seemingly irregular intervals. Our access to the nearest beach involved a short downhill walk, and passage through quite a narrow tunnel which ran under a busy dual carriageway, This then opened out onto some steps which led down to a beach. The resort staff, including porters and reception personnel, were all attentive and polite, though a number of the resort facilities were shut and/or being repaired - presumably they'll be up and running for the summer season! The remaining bar, called the Sunset Club, seemed a little stale and lacking in atmosphere, but we'd still recommend the holiday and the resort as a whole. It was very good value for money, and the weather was terrific!
Just got back from Select Marina Park after visiting with my Mrs, 7 and 5 year olds.
-Our apartment was right next to Zachary's, kids clubs, heated pool, Jacuzzi and had a small sea view. This was perfect for us as it was in the the middle of everything...
Not too noisy.
-The pool is big enough at this time of year. Amazingly warm, you could spend all day in there. Life guards weren't too quick to tell people off but kept good order.
-Zachary's and Safari had the same menu but we found the setting of Safari nicer. The food was surprisingly really good and the staff great.
-The drought lager was Victoria Malaga which was a nice drink. A bit pricey at 4.05 but you don't pay for entertainment etc.
-We hired a car from OK rent car which only cost £14.24 for the week. That's not a typo. So food shops are easy and we did day trips to Gibraltar and Granada which are approximately 1h 45m away. If you wanted to stay on resort and use public transport it's pretty well connected.
-The staff at the kids club were great. I think it was 5 euros to register and they get a t-shirt. We did the adults rifle shoot while the kids were there which was good fun.
-The sofa bed was very firm so don't expect anything less.
-In February, you expect mixed weather, it goes with the territory. We had nice fair weather for 4 days and cloudy not so good weather for about 3. That's why a car is a must as you can do a lot more days out / walking etc when it's a bit cooler and plan your week to chill by the pool on the sunnier days.
-The entertainment was very 'old school' apart from the magician who was really good at a family show.
-As the season hasn't got going a lot of resorts were only half open. It's not really an issue but don't expect everything to be open. For instance you wouldn't believe how long it too us to find a nice ice cream on the Fuengirola sea front!!!
