Disappointing. Will not be returning!

Review by L_OSullivan Waterford, Ireland

First time in Salou and at this hotel. Upon arriving we were "greeted" by a somewhat rude receptionist. He checked us in, gave us no information about the hotel and appeared to just want to get rid of us...

We were in for further disappointment when we got to the room. We booked a standard room as we were only staying 3 nights. Substandard more like, I would have been disappointed with the room if we were told it was a 2.5-3 star hotel but for a 4 star it was shocking. The room was outdated, had no facilities, grotty, peeling paint and damp patches in areas. The air-conditioning only came on when the balcony door was closed as somehow it was hooked up to a sensor on the door. To turn it off, we had to open the balcony door, which was a problem at night resulting in us having to knock off the elecricity at night or the room was too cold.

The walls are paper thin, we could hear conversations in the next room or the TV on.

I later called reception to ask about an iron, unfortunately I think I got through to the same guy who checked us in. Was told it was €20 to rent an iron and had to be collected at reception....he then hung up on me!

The balcony itself was facing a main road, was noisy and looked straight across to a hillside of bushes and trees.

The hotel location isn't great either. Set back from the beach and no bars or restaurants open within the vicinity of the hotel.

We ordered pizza for lunch in the hotel bar, the pizza was cold and not cooked through!

Only positive, the main areas of the hotel, including pool area are clean and well kept and the bar staff are friendly and welcoming!

If you do choose to stay here, get one of the deluxe rooms overlooking the pool. They appear to be better. However, my advice, stay somewhere else!!!

Staff brilliant hotel very average

Review by debzk1989 Belfast, United Kingdom

We stayed 3 nights in standard room which was very standard. Very outdated and basic and walls are paper thin so if you have noisy neighbours expect sleepless night nights. Reception clean and pool area clean...

No information at all about hotel when checking in or about park package that was booked.

Staff at spa are lovely especially martz had lovely reflexology with her and she was so friendly.

Staff at bar lovely, we only done bed and breakfast which I was glad as very basic buffet breakfast. Staff again at breakfast very friendly

I give it 3 just because of the staff members but I would recommend staying elsewhere if looking a nicer hotel

Excellent hotel

We stayed here for Oct half term This was a last minute change when our booked hotel closed early. The hotel is really clean, face masks and hand sanitiser required. We had a room with two double beds overlooking the pool...

The room was nice, clean and beds comfy. We stayed on half board basis and food was really nice far better than other hotels we have stayed in. I note one review said the breakfast buffet was basic. There was so much choice from a hot food bar with freshly cooked omlettes and pancakes. Cereals, yoghurt, range of breads and pasrries, meats and cheese, toast and fresh fruits that is not basic. Every taste was catered for. Staff were friendly and attentive. Only negative is that the walls are thin but would definately visit again.

Beautiful hotel☺️

Just back from our week stay in this lovely hotel! We booked it through love holidays and Weren't sure what to expect but we couldn't have being happier with our stay. The hotel is beautiful with amazing pools and lots on each evening! We had the all you could eat breakfast each day and it was delicious! We will definitely be returning for our next holiday.

The only negative thing we found was the paper thing walls as we could literally hear the man sleeping above us! So just be aware of this if booking.

Good break away!

Review by JackMSD96 Wexford, Ireland

Pleasant hotel. A short walk from shops and the beach.

Nearby restaurants and supermarkets just around the corner.

Pools and activitys were great! Indoor heated pool was very good!

Breakfast was a wide selection, we didn't have dinner or lunch so cannot comment on that.

Room was spacious and beds were very comfortable, balcony was great too.
