We recently stayed in The Salou Princess and had a wonderful time. We booked a pool view room, we had paid extra for SUPERIOR pool view room, the only difference being given bath robes, slippers and use of the safe for free. All rooms were the same size, so I would just book standard pool view the next time...
The room was bright and airy with a good size balcony with a lovely view of the pool and you could see straight to the beach. Rooms were very clean with maid service every day. We had the half board option and the food was varied with plenty to choose from. The dining room never felt crowded and there was never a long wait to have a table. The pool was wonderful with plenty of loungers to choose from, it had a really lovely upper terrace with a jacuzzi hot tub and plenty of loungers if you wanted a change of scene from the pool. Pool area was very clean and it was cleaned every day by the great staff. The location of this hotel is simply perfect, a 4 minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach. Plus within walking distance to the shopping and restaurants. It was lovely to leave the busy tourist areas and come back to the hotel in the evening. There are lots of supermarkets on the doorstep of the hotel for anything else you could need. There is a fantastic bike rental shop diagonally across the road from the hotel and we hired two electric bikes from there and went to Cambrils, we had the best time. Highly recommend this. All in all this was a fantastic hotel to stay in and I would struggle to anywhere else now when I come back to Salou, we had such a good time. You will not be disappointed with this hotel.
We absolutely love it. It is far the best hotel in Salou. We have coming to Salou for over 20 years and always try to stay here...
In my opinion is good as it can possibly get. Food is great and good entertaiment.
Like all other H10's in Salou, the h10 salou princess didn't let us down nice big pool, lovely rooms, better to have a pool view. Buffet style restuarant. A short transfer from Reus airport, within walking distance to the beach, bars & restuarants...
Right next to Jacks Place.
I'd like to start this review by commenting on the main negative amongst most other reviews...the food. We were half board and the first few days had lunch in the hotel so we would have a "nice" evening meal - we were so impressed with the hotel food and underwhelmed by the food we ate in other restaurants that we CHOSE to dine at the hotel in the evening for the rest of our holiday. The food was lovely, cooked well, a good variety and always hot...
My only complaint is that there wasn't enough veal (other reviewers promised me I'd have it every day!) it was beautiful and so tender!
The hotel is in a great location, the pool was ideal for our little girl who has mobility issues - she didn't like going in the toddler pool so was happy to have a section in the main pool that she could paddle around in.
Rooms - aren't massive but workable, you don't spend much time in them anyway. The fridge was handy to store my wine, was lovely to sit on the balcony with a book and a glass of wine while our daughter napped. I emailed the hotel direct before we traveled to request an adapted room - it was sorted promptly and ready for us on arrival with everything we needed.
Would I come back here? Absolutely, if I was to return to Salou I wouldn't hesitate to re-book!
A friend and I booked this hotel through Easy Jet, for a total of 5 nights. Upon arrival the reception staff were helpful and welcoming; our room was not ready so we left our luggage in the luggage storeroom, which is locked with a code. We only had to wait an hour for the room to be ready so this was completely fine.
ROOM - The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable...
The bathroom was nice and well equipped. The hairdryer is not particularly strong so I would bring my own. Our room did not have the best view, but this did not bother us as we didn't spend much time in the room.
FOOD - We were on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast food was nice and mostly warm. There was a good selection and breakfast times were reasonable. For lunch, we often ate at the pool bar which was nice. The food was good, and we often just grabbed a cone of fries each. For dinner, we visited different restaurants around the area.
POOL - The pool is a nice size, (very cold though) but I can imagine in the height of summer it may be a problem. We visited in September, so things had calmed down a little. Sunbeds were readily available, however, there are not a lot of parasols. There are three cabanas which can be hired, however, the cost was quite a lot. The hotel has a great suntrap but it would be so much better if this was an adults-only area, this section also has quite a large hot-tub, but the water actually isn't very warm.
LOCATION - The location is frankly brilliant, it is a short walk to the beach which is really nice and the water was quite warm (warmer than the pool). Portaventura is only a short walk away (this honestly is a must, even though we booked through easy jet we were able to sort theme park tickets through the TUI rep. We went on the evening tickets (7-12) and were able to get on all the big rides (seriously a must for thrill-seekers and families alike. There are a lot of shops, bars, and restaurants close-by, and a beautiful fountain which does a light/water show each evening at specific times.
Overall, the hotel was nice, welcoming, and comfortable. There are a few improvements which would make it so much better (especially an adults-only area). We would return!
