I really recomend this amazing hotel , with kind workers, and really cool location near Ushuaia and Hi, for sure I'll be back at the end of season before next year, the big pool and the bar they really cool to have a fresh drink
This was our 2nd trip to Fergus Bahamas to meet friends we met during our first trip and it didn't disappoint. Firstly, ignore all bad reviews on this hotel as this is Ibiza. If you wish a quiet holiday there are other places that will accommodate that, so let's move on. Animation team - Lead by Gianfry (Superstar) they get everyone involved in every activity if they wish and these range from darts, water polo, aerobics and table tennis and a lot lot more. Luis, Dennis, Alex and Vicky do a morning sweep wishing all a good morning and asking if they wish to participate...
Everyone on this team are fantastic and learn your name within a couple of days. Bar Staff - Everyone one on this team deserves a medal. Always happy to help and even with big orders done with a smile. Maria, Jazmina, Marga, Paco, Susana and Sergio all deserve a mention (Sorry if I missed anyone). Pool side - Music starts around 10 and will be on until the pool bar closes at 6pm. Nico is the life guard and will always good for a laugh with the guests (great guy). Rooms - beds are comfortable I required an extra pillow which was dealt with within 5 mins. Shower really powerful and water as hot or cold as required. Food - The buffet is done for the masses there is always something good to eat you just need to use your imagination. Once a week you can go upstairs and dine in the restaurant which is also good. Hope this is helpful.
I’m not usually one to review holidays but after booking based on reviews I felt I had to.
As long term Ibiza visitors since 90’s the reviews sounded great but did not meet our expectations.
We arrived to a really boho theme hotel which I love, we were firstly told out room would not be ready till 3pm. Very unusual and a first for us in a Spanish hotel, usually you check in when you arrive...
We were given a glass of cava on arrival which was a nice touch and was given our wristbands to use through the hotel while waiting for our room to be ready.
When we went back we were just given our room card and pointed to area where we where and had to locate it ourselves. ( during our stay the same gentleman who booked us in only showed lady parties to their rooms personally).
Upon arrival. Room 5212 was spacious and clean. No mould considering other reviews. We had a back beach view which was stunning. There was a safe which we tried to use and couldn’t work. After speaking to reception we were told this was an additional charge. Again never have we ever had to pay extra for a safe. It wasn’t cheap to have one. I’ve been to less stars and it’s been included.
During our stay.
Food average if not less.
If you like pork or fish your okay. Inc pizza and pasta.
Fatty Spanish bacon, and I mean mostly fat. Baked beans Scrambled egg Fried eggs Omelettes ( have to wait for these, delays normal fried eggs if they run out as only one chef) Mushrooms Sausages Carrots ( why I don’t know)
(ALL COLD, and served on cold plates, no option for warm plates.
The same every day. (Mostly) pork and fish, occasionally chicken or veal.
Salad is fresh, pizza available and pasta dishes.
Again cold plates and cold food.
Same as lunch. Nothing special.
Adverts show something different like chocolate fountain and palma ham.
English tea is a no go, please take your own tea bags. I wish I did. Husband liked the coffee but machines malfunctioned now and again,
Daytime all inclusive is mainly left over breakfast. Boiled hotdogs.
We did have one al a crate visit inc in our stay in the us upstairs restaurant which during our stay was on Thursdays and Fridays only, ( please book, as this was the best meal we had during our stay.
Sunbeds to be honest were okay to get. Peak season I wouldn’t think so.
Pool okay. Liked the walk into the pool area.
Music during the day for us was not good. It was advertised as s DJ throughout the day, it was a CD playing, as old school Ibiza, maybe 2 tunes were great other was just rubbish commercial music.
All inclusive bar
Same, same, same…, watered down beer, warm wine, (try the half sangria and hand cava, no ice) at least it’s okay, you do have to ask for this mix. The pre made cocktails are awful. (Spirits are local).
One touch is they use recycled plastic cups to save the oceans which I thought was a great touch,
The beach at the bottom of the hotel is AMAZING, but not part of the hotel and you do need a lot of money to enjoy your visit. Twice a week they have a special evening which costs a min of €300 for a table. You can sit for free during the day on their beach bar sofas and drinks are around €7 each. You can book bed fir €120 a day plus food and drink. Saying that, the bar has a great bohemian vibe.
Cleaners are amazing, no concerns, bar staff are great especially Gloria on the half board outside bar from 6pm. If I had a bar business I would hire her. We were all inclusive but paid extra just to have better drinks and service. The young man who worked with her was also great, sorry can’t remember his name.
Inside evening bar for all inclusive was well. 2 star, In May you had to wait roughly 10 plus people in a queue. The older gentleman wasn’t very friendly and really didn’t say anything.
This is what even though we were all inclusive we still paid extra for drinks at the evening outside bar as if was fantastic service.
Not enough seats outside in May so dread what peak season is like. There is another area of the hotel with a stage and seats but this was not in use.
One afternoon we went out for the day this return for dinner around 6;30pm, we arrived to a major packed hotel where we found that due to a cancellation on Tui airlines the whole flight arrived at our hotel to eat.
We could not find a seat to eat which we had paid for as a guest. The lounge was full of the delayed flight passengers asleep everywhere, again no where to sit. So we missed out on dinner that night.
2 acts were okay. The bongos and make and female singer.
The dj night, not for us, we expected a bit more of a house Ibiza mode but more pop.
We met some great friends which was lovely but unfortunately due to other issues above we will not return
All the staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. The animacion team were great and our daughter Mazy particularly loved Viky and Alessandra. Gloria always served us with a smile at the bar in the evenings and her energy was always felt by everyone around her. We all enjoyed our time at Fergus. Love Jayne, Rick & Mazy
Gloria is our favourite bartender at Fergus Style Bahamas in Playa d'en Bossa. Also friendly and makes the best White Russian cocktail ever!
White Russian is vodka, Kahlua coffee liquor, sugar and cream, topped with cacao powder and coffee beans. Try it!
