Santa Eulalia

The Iberostar Santa Eulalia Hotel is a resort for couples and adult. Right on the sand, in a sort of breakwater, this refurbished hotel in Santa Eulària has one of the finest beach clubs in Ibiza. This beach hotel enjoys a privileged position just a few meters from S'Argamassa beach, a beautiful area surrounded by pine trees and a Mediterranean atmosphere. Less than 3 km away, in Es Cana resort, guests will find a variety of bars, restaurants and shops, as well as the famous hippie market of Punta Arabi. The rooms at Santa Eulália offer private balconies and a LCD satellite TV. They all include a private bathroom with a hairdryer and amenities, telephone, safe and tea/coffee making facilities. Star Prestige customers can access the exclusive area with solarium, Balinese beds, open bar, relax room and special attentions such as priority check in and late check out.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Wonderfully relaxed holiday

Review by 237dianem Brighton, United Kingdom

We had a great anniversary stay, we were well looked after and the food and drink were fabulous. Panni - the entertainment manager is amazing at including everyone and ensuring you all have a great time. I’ve never seen an entertainment rep get so many people in a pool to do Aqua Aerobics before! You are offered premium spirits on the all inclusive rather than the local ‘brews!!’ which also made a really nice change. Our room and the hotel throughout was exceptionally clean, they were very Covid safe, with masks being worn and also policing the hand sanitiser usage in the restaurant before touching tongs...

This makes perfect sense to keep everyone safe and allow us to continue travel to these beautiful places. The coastline is beautiful, but it’s quite a trek into Saint Eulalia, you’re actually closer to Es Cana. I’d suggest you go into Saint Eulalia while you’re here though; it is a lovely place. Thank you to all the staff for a fantastic stay ❤️

Just superb

Review by Headfullofcrisps1 Middlesbrough

Excellent quality hotel in a great location, booked again for July 22 and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, excellent quality food and drinks, all staff work tirelessly and made our holiday exceptional .

Our room on the 3rd floor was very spacious and was cleaned to a high standard every day.

Location was superb, in easy walking distance to Santa Eulalia and ES Cana with stunning views, bars and restaurants.

Overall A++++++

A great hotel in a great location.

Review by Trip15266235512 Cheltenham, United Kingdom

This was a great hotel, spotlessly clean with excellent COVID measures in place. Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. The food choices were excellent with freshly cooked meats and fish available to order each evening. The location was excellent a €7 taxi ride into Santa Elullia or a 40 minute walk along the beautiful coastline, although a bit precarious in places, and several bars along the way to stop for a drink, and a 35 minute walk in the other direction to Es Canar and the hippy market. Our room was a little small but perfectly adequate with a lovely sea view.

Relaxing stay, but with a couple of niggles

Review by SteveandBel Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom

This is a wonderful hotel and we had a relaxing stay in October 2021.

We stayed Star Prestige and booked with Jet2 Holidays. We originally booked a Star Prestige double room, but upgraded to a 'Priority Location' room on check-in at an additional cost of 40 Euros per night and it was well worth the cost...

The hotel is set in a quite area and you can walk along the coast where you will discover small coves with great beach bars. The Hippy Market is also within easy walking distance of the hotel. We had a taxi into Santa Eulalia del Río which cost around 7 Euros each way and the town is of a reasonable size and has a lovely marina, with shops, bars and restaurants.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights All-inclusive. The food was of an excellent standard. The only criticism of the food was the choice. Now this is a little difficult to explain because there was always a good selection of meats and fish. The problem was with the choice of what to put with your choice of meat or fish, because there was a limited choice of vegetables. However, if you are a salad fan then the choice was excellent.

The All-inclusive was a great choice for us, but we would say that it is not the best All-inclusive we have experienced. To explain the choice of drinks was excellent, but staying Star Prestige you also have a minibar within the room, but we found that the mini bar is not restocked once the alcoholic drinks are used. We spoke to other guests also staying Star Prestige and this seemed to be the norm. This was a little disappointing, given that we were not only Star Prestige but also All-inclusive.

The Star Prestige area also has a bar, but the service was a little sporadic given that sometimes is was staffed and sometimes it was not staffed. You could of course help yourself to drinks and this was an excellent facility, but it closed at 10pm and so if you got back to the room after this time and fancied a drink on the balcony the only option was to go back to the ground floor (five floors) and then carry the drink back to your room (given that the minibar had not been restoked). This is, in our view, an improvement which could be made by simply keeping the Star Prestige bar open until say midnight.

Another criticism was that the Chill Out Bar was closed throughout our stay. We assumed that the closure was due to it being the end of the summer season, but in our view if the hotel have facilities available then these facilities should be available regardless of when the you arrive at the hotel. This was also the case with the beach club, which was also closed. We understand that the beach club is separate to the hotel, albeit that is not exactly made clear on the hotel website unless you go hunting for the information or the Jet 2 website. It is also a little disappointing that neither Jet 2 nor the hotel made guests aware that some facilities may not be available until the point of check-in at the hotel. In our view this sort of detail should be included on the websites of both Jet2 and the hotel.

The staff at the hotel are second to none. We packed the wrong plug adaptors, taking the American rather than the European adaptors , but a quick question at reception and the hotel provided an adaptor, which we returned at check-out. This was a 'life saver' given the paperwork you need to complete online to get back into the UK during the pandemic.

The entertainment was a little lackluster, but this may be better in high season.

In summary:

Location : quite, relaxing and scenic

Food : of good quality, although choice could be improved

Drinks: of good quality, but again the service could be improved

Entertainment: mediocre

Rooms: very very clean, modern and comfortable

Staff: excellent

Cleanliness of communal areas: this has to be 5 stars (so a big thank you to the hotel and all its staff)

Facilities - excellent, but should be available throughout the entire season and, if not, this should be made clear on the websites of both Jet2 and the hotel.

Would we stay again : Not sure, whilst overall the hotel and the experience was very good we have experienced better All inclusive hotels

Jet 2 Holidays: well, we got there and we got home, otherwise we never saw any representative during our stay at the hotel. The transfer is stated on the Jet2 website as being 1 hour. We arrived in Ibiza at around 11:30 (Ibiza time) and arrived at the hotel at 14:45 (Ibiza time). The coach took around 1 hour to leave the Airport and then we stopped at what felt like every hotel in Ibiza. Our advice would be to get a private transfer because the hotel is only around 25kms from the Airport.

Prestige wow

Review by Road36734195617 Sheffield, United Kingdom

Stayed for 4 nights with a friend . We stayed in a junior suit and upgraded to prestige. This made our stay!!!! Was worth the money for extra privileges as the roof top was amazing and our room was lovely...

Negative is the shower goes hot and cold but that’s being picky . They have service down to a tea but did feel the prestige roof top should offer a waiter up there as down stairs they have waiters serving. I do think a toilet is needed too . The food was ok and this could be down to end of season but wasn’t a lot of variety and no theme nights to mix it up . The entertainment was on every night which was great but was in pool side bar instead of outside bar and this was a shame as the outside bar is beautiful. The hotel was quiet remote with no shops to walk to but ten min taxi and you can get this . This could be due to end of season too. Overall the staff was amazing friendly and attentive and I would stay here again and recommend anyone to visit. All guests was very friendly too and we met some lovely people.
