Big birthday

Review by karenbD4416OG

Hi we really had a fab holiday however the hotel has a great view our room was clean and comfortable we payed for an ungrade to have sea view and a bath in the bedroom very nice, what was disappointing that the TV only had one English station so if you didnt want to go out no room entertainment asked at the reception but they had no explanation, considering you only had a Lebanese restaurant near the pool area to eat which like the drinks where well over priced 26€ for a creek Salad and 18 € for a cocktail (these just some examples) at lunch or evening you had to go out by cab as no local reasonable priced restaurants or bars open only Nikki beach again over priced ,it would have been nice to be able to purchase snacks .The breakfast food was fab good quality food and plenty the staff where so nice .What upset us was we emailed hotel in advance of our holiday explaining it was a special birthday and would they be able to supply cake and decorations in room "yes definitely " no it never happened !

Wonderful staff, but lots of hidden costs

Review by mikewI4881QQ

Firstly I would like to caveat that this hotel is beautiful and the staff are extremely polite and attentive.

However, a few problems came up during our stay. When booking, we were under the impression breakfast was included with our room, which was confirmed upon checkin...

The next morning when going down for breakfast, we were told we did not in fact have breakfast included. So, we called the reception who then said we definitely do have breakfast. We went back downstairs to explain our situation and we’re told again that no, we did not have breakfast included with our stay. So for the duration of our time at the hotel, we had to travel a few miles to the nearest town to get something to eat each morning. No big deal, but pretty frustrating.

The next issue was that we’d been ‘upgraded’ to a sea view room, which happened to overlook the car park and entrance to the hotel. No big deal, but the pebbled roof outside our balcony was covered in cat faeces. Upon mentioning this to reception, the problem was swiftly dealt with and a free bottle of cava was waiting for us in our room when we returned.

We were then disappointed to discover that all sunbeds around the rooftop infinity pool (one of the best features of the hotel) are all reserved for those paying extra to use them, plus a minimum spend of 200 euros. As guests paying an already high price, you would think that communal amenities would be accessible to all paying guests, but no. During our stay, we saw very few guests actually using these beds, effectively locking out the majority of guests from using the very facilities that would have attracted them to stay at the hotel in the first place.

The free sunbeds also happened to be conveniently placed on the shady side of the pool, meaning that by around 2pm you are sitting in the shade while several empty beds with ‘reserved’ signs are sat in full sun with nobody using them.

Some great features of the hotel are the wonderful views, the main pool is amazing, and there is free valet parking which makes a huge difference. The customer service was also second to none and honestly is what made our stay as good as it was. Having stayed in lots of five star hotels however, it was shocking that the best parts of the hotel were off limits unless we were prepared to pay for it.

If you are particularly wealthy and are prepared to pay for these extras, I have no doubt that you’ll have an amazing stay here - the staff are lovely, as is the hotel itself. Just be aware that everything here costs extra, which is not made clear when booking.

Our sixth stay at ME IBIZA

Review by danielwX6715GR

Obviously we like the Hotel as it was our sixth stay, we also stayed at Nobu (2 days) and 7Pines (3 days) as part of this trip , finishing up with 4 days at MEIBIZA.

What set the ME apart from the other hotels was the service, all hotels offered friendly service but, at the ME the staff were more attentive, its well oiled service.

Breakfast is good, a lot of variety with the same chef at the hotel for many many years so breakfast (hot food) is consistent.

The pool has a beautiful sea view, the sunbeds are comfortable and there are daybeds which have a min charge - this became an issue as the pool food is Lebanese and maybe not for everyone.

Rooms are very clean and nice size, its the size and comfort of the bed that makes the room - best we've experienced.

Id recommend a stay here but i do advise to get out into the main town Santa Eulalia - full of cheap good quality places to eat and only a few euros by taxi.

At the hotel, Id like to see more tapas offered (were are in Ibiza after all - homemade meatballs etc - celebrate local food more).

The Lebanese pool menu is too big and to be honest a bit prescriptive , why not offer Sushi , normal burger, noodles, Mexican and pizza - i do think the Lebanese food does not work, needs more variety, even the desserts were too focused on that cuisine - by introducing a theme they have become too specialized.

Breakfast could be improved if they offered Granola , Walnuts, Berries and smashed avacado like 7Pines and Nobu, its the way breakfasts are going - bit more choice.

Coffee was quite slow to be delivered and thus usually cold, the quality of the coffee wasnt great, it was quite weak.

Obviously the cost is overall high but you can go out for lunch / dinner without a problem

A cool vibe, awesome service and a lot of style!

Review by AdrianeRomero El Cortecito, Dominican Republic

We just had a fantastic time at ME Ibiza! The young and motivated staff always figured out how to give the best service, making sure we had everything we needed! A shout out to Irati and the Aura team for personalizing our stay, leaving fun and thoughtful notes on the mirrors in our room throughout our stay! The room was modern and super clean with the best hotel amenities we´ve had in a long time! The facilities are great, the food delicious, and the views all around are “breathtakingly beautiful”. We also loved the valet parking, so we didn’t have to walk to your car, always giving us a great smile and a cold beverage for the road! The rooftop swimming pool is A+ and the cool vibe of the main pool with DJ sessions make you not want to leave the hotel at all! The SPA is superb, they have Asian therapists, do not miss the opportunity to pamper yourself there! I will be back as many times as possible for some ME time in Ibiza!
