Grand Yazici Club Marmaris Palace

Turkey, Europe

Beautifully situated amidst a lush green forest yet still less than 50 metres from a private beach, the elegant hotel Grand Yazıcı Marmaris Palace enjoys a convenient location between Içmeler, 2 km away, and Marmaris, 6 km away, where guests can board a ferry taking them to the Greek isle of Rhodes within 45 minutes. The family-friendly hotel offers accommodation for up to 5 persons in a room, and most of the rooms have sea views. Younger guests will love the mini club, playground and the children's pool, while not so young guests will appreciate the wide range of sporting facilities, including various water sports. Culinary options include an outdoor restaurant, an indoor restaurant and an à la carte restaurant on the beach. Guests can relax in the spa with sauna and massage or simply have a drink in one of the cosy bars. An ideal choice for couples and families with children wishing to spend a relaxing holiday.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Feral parents and xhildren

Review by karengN4726CL Wirral, United Kingdom

Hotel same as we remember very welcoming but a few issues which hopefully will be resolved.. Adults only beach constantly plagued by rude Russiands refusing to accept that they cannot bring children and same families allowing their children to treat the restaurant as a racetrack and play area making mealtimes a nightmare

Worst 5 star I have been to

Review by Yigit T

Old hotel, they don’t even have wifi! Food is disaster. It is only good if it was 2 star hotel but it is 5! It is so packed also in a small area. It is hard to reach to the rooms because the design of the building is done 50 years ago apperantly...

Never again! There are way better hotels in Marmaris with same price or even less.

Great hotel and amazing staff

Review by monikaz898 Preston, United Kingdom

Just came back from our stay and all I can say is wow! The hotel is in a great location, further away from the noise of the city. Large grounds full of lush greens and offering stunning views of the bay. Rooms are a bit small but we didn't stay in much, shower is spacious with good water pressure and room was cleaned every day without a fail...

One of the main highlights is a huge private beach and adults only area including a bar and a pier, we spent most of our time there, but be aware the spot is very popular so be prepared to wake up early to reserve your spot! However, other areas of the beach and pools always had plenty of sun loungers available. There is an amazing coffee shop offering freshly brewed coffee and cookies (included in the price) - make sure you check it out! Food was great, plenty of choice and always fresh in the buffet, we tried the Italian restaurant too and loved it. The biggest shootout goes to staff, especially the bar team at the Stone bar! The guys work extremely hard, no matter how busy it was we always got outstanding service. A special thank you to Speedy, Vedat and Veysi for making our stay extra special! Thanks for the laughs, always looking out for us and the best cocktails! See you next year, love from Monika and Gee :)

Perfect for your kids, hence, perfect for you

Review by erhank810 Istanbul, Turkey

Grand Yazici Club Marmaris Palace is a family-friendly all-inclusive resort in Mugla that excels at keeping your kids and you happy and welcomed during the stay.

I've been there three times; the last was during the COVID-19 pandemic (which was a safe and enjoyable experience). Every time I go to another hotel, more and more, I realize why Grand Yazici Marmaris Palace is the best place to go in the region if you have kids.

This turned out to be a long review (written during a stay at another holiday hotel), so thank you for your time if you read the whole thing.

It's actually pretty simple: If your kid is unhappy for whatever reason during your holiday, they tend to make your stay miserable, too. Based on their age, they constantly cry, demand attention, sulk, ask for the opposite of what you want to do at the time, and find ways to make you as unhappy as them...

On the other hand, if your children are happy, each minute you spend on a majestic resort located at the meeting point of blue waters and a green forest feels like borrowed time from heaven. And that's exactly what we felt at Grand Yazici on three different occasions.

I will take an extra step here to share a tangible reason why this hotel is an excellent choice. It's actually pretty simple: They have the best staff I've ever seen in a holiday resort, in every department.

  • You can have high-quality food at the open buffet (which Grand Yazici obviously has), but if there are no attentive waiters and commies around, even getting served becomes trouble. This is especially true in the post-COVID-19 reality where you can't get your food like you used to do.

  • There might be a small, cute bungalow with a "MINI CLUB" sign on it. But if the caretakers are not friendly, kind, and attentive enough, your children would not want to go there. So you can't have your "me time," and it would easily turn into domestic distress, negatively affecting your whole vacation.

  • Pool activities are not uncommon for holiday destinations. But the entertainment desk of this hotel deserves a special shout-out because they are experts at quickly getting familiarized with guests and then being friendly, making you feel like you're part of the neighborhood.

  • Another kudos to the entertainment team, evening shows at the amphitheater are on a whole different level than standard animations. The only time I felt the same level of thrill and excitement during a show was at Cirque du Soleil (in Aug. 2019).

  • Their cleaning team also does their job without forcing you to communicate with the reception for simple tasks like floor cleaning, changing sheets, or new towels.

  • They have a very long walking trail that separates the main establishment from the pier. You can enjoy long, maybe even romantic walks with a gorgeous view of the sea and neighboring islands.

  • Even the snack ladies and waiters responsible from different bars across the facility are warm and friendly. It makes a huge difference to being served by people who always seem to be glad to see you and people counting minutes for their shift to end.

  • The general atmosphere in the hotel can be summarized in three words: Heartwarming, soothing and refreshing.

I blew my head off to bring a negative quality here to make this review as objective as I can. But I really can't remember any bad experience with this hotel.

To be clear: I never got a discount etc., for my bookings (except what's available for everyone online). I write this boringly long review to share my longing for this beautiful hotel. If you stay here, I hope that you will share the same feelings that I have felt during all our stays.

Thank you for your time if you read this almost 4K characters long review. I hope you'd find it useful. Have a great vacation, wherever you are going! :)
