Beautifully situated amidst a lush green forest yet still less than 50 metres from a private beach, the elegant hotel Grand Yazıcı Marmaris Palace enjoys a convenient location between Içmeler, 2 km away, and Marmaris, 6 km away, where guests can board a ferry taking them to the Greek isle of Rhodes within 45 minutes. The family-friendly hotel offers accommodation for up to 5 persons in a room, and most of the rooms have sea views. Younger guests will love the mini club, playground and the children's pool, while not so young guests will appreciate the wide range of sporting facilities, including various water sports. Culinary options include an outdoor restaurant, an indoor restaurant and an à la carte restaurant on the beach. Guests can relax in the spa with sauna and massage or simply have a drink in one of the cosy bars. An ideal choice for couples and families with children wishing to spend a relaxing holiday.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Hands down one of the best experiences we’ve had!

I don’t usually write reviews but after our stay at the Grand Yazici Hotel in Turkey, I felt it was the least I could do! From the minute we arrived, the staff have been so attentive. To the point where we would finish a drink and another would be placed in-front of us without even asking. The hotel itself is outstanding with so many options and the amount of facilities available to you is countless! I also wanted to give a special mention to Mehmet, who I believe is the guest manager, he has made our stay extremely memorable, and made us feel so at home! I can’t list all the special treats he gave us as it’s too many aha but he really has been outstanding! Also just wanted to mention Murat YILDIZ, who is a waiter at the Pine Bar! He was incredible at his job, always putting us first, the attentive side of him was not one I’ve ever experienced while on holiday! Honestly the friendliest guy ever and made us giggle every night...

myself and my gf have become great friends with him and hope to see him again! Thank you to all the staff and we will definitely, without doubt, be returning here later this year or next year x Will and holly x

From the moment we walked in, the standard was set, we where greeted with smiles and very helpful staff.

With an overwhelming effort by all the staff, true colours really show, when a problem arises. It’s almost impossible to maintain a low mood or disappointment when met with patients, kindness and genuine helpful people. -Big thank you to the “3 Amigos” at reception Umit Abas, Zlem, Zeynep. Truely helpful and perfect for the front of house team. -Mustafa Stone bar, super drinks, great to talk to, when I come back we will go for a run brother...

What a dude. -Akif the skater boy, pool bar, what a helpful fun guy, skilled with people and on skates. -huge thank you to my Turkish teacher Ebru from the main restaurant, what a humble and helpful soul, -the main restaurant was full of so many helpful people, Mehmet, Merve, and Yasar just a few names, so many I forgot to mention. -Mustafa Baylan, restaurant manager, very helpful when I needed anything. -3 angles in the spa front of house, Katrina, Susan and Ela :) I went to the Turkish massage in town with my sisters and family and was a great experience and I would recommend, however I needed something more relaxing and personal, the spa achieved this and more, grateful blessed and loved. -Susan massaged me with attentive and intuitive energy, a humble young Leo lioness. Just what I needed on this holiday. -coffee corner team what a bunch of great lads, Barista Vedat, Sef Ibo, Adnan, Nesli Sah Kul, Egemen, perfect coffee 97% :) what a team so many fun conversations and Turkish lessons, always helpful. -Ediibe Karlcrt, Huseyin Demirden, Melisa Guney, the pastrie team, always have yummy snacks for us, even those that didn’t speak English, their warm smiles and helpful natures, spoke beyond words. -mr Hayati Fokge the towel man, every day just handing out towels, what a humble man. -Server the best hair in the whole hotel and Ali from the pine Bar, what a bunch of great guys, always funny, talkative and helpful. -Mahir, the manager at the Italian restaurant, went out of his way to add something that wasn’t on the menu for us, he was calm, patient and very helpful. -HABIb-blue shirt, was always interested to say hello and polite. -Jan Klaassen, service bar, no pain no gain mr muscle what a entertaining dude, happy to help and talkative. -Deniz at the pier, what a dude, always helpful always with refreshing water, a good morning, afternoon or evening. -Serkan, entertainment manager- such a committed man, every day bringing energy to work with people, excellent entertainment acts and a brilliant team. -Umit from entertainment, what a legend in his gummy bear suit. -Eden from entertainment what a patient bright spark with the children. -saving the best for last Taya, she helped beyond her position, she really connected with my sister and kids, such an incredible energy perfect for entertainment but even better just for people, she is such a friendly, humble, helpful, kind beautiful soul. She really made our stay 10/10.

Thank you all so much, apologies for those I missed out, I hope to return soon. So many memories, soul filling, stress reliving, life boosting, highly recommend. Must visit, top stars, Grand Yazici, Marmaris Palace, Turkey.

Amazing hotel and staff!

Cannot fault this hotel one bit. We had an amazing holiday here made even better by all of the wonderful staff!! We spent most of our nights at the Pine Bar where they always had great entertainment, and our server, Murat Yildiz, could not do enough for us. He was lovely and friendly, and very attentive! The entertainment/activity staff (Umut & Taya) were also great! We will definitely choose this hotel if we visit Turkey again in the future!!

An honest in-depth review

I've stayed in 5*, if you expecting a 5*, you will be disappointed but it's a solid 3+/4*. I'd imagine it was a 5* when originally built as it's very grand, vast, lots of solid stone and wood construction with solid furniture. While it's very clean everywhere and well maintained it is feeling dated in places especially the rooms...

Service from staff is always friendly, helpful and attentive, there is no sense of waiting as everyone is very efficient. Only issues is the language barrier at times. Particularly new members of staff

Pros Clean and well maintained Lots of food choices and ways to eat Food is always fresh and well presented/prepared Drinks, beer and coffee selection is varied and available in lots of locations across hotel Great staff and great service from all Lots of pools and beach areas for sunbathing Regular skater waiters by pool delivering drinks Lots of outdoor seating for dining and drinking Onsite shops and services (spa, hairdresser, doctor, photographer etc) Great shows and nightly entertainment Beach areas very clean and well presented Water readily available in rooms on tables and across fridges dotted around hotel Free pool towels and tolietries Close via taxi to marmaris/ichmela 10min Boat trips and water sports available

Cons Furniture is old/outdated and as a result firm mattresses and dipped chair cushions etc Food is very "Turkish" so pickier eaters may struggle and feel repiticious menu 3 of the ala carte restaurants weren't open even tho advertised (the Italian and fish now combined) and only allowed just one single alacarte visit with all inclusive in total - one visit we did have was poor? Entertainment is very late, an hour later than ideal? kids is 8.30-9.30pm with show 10-11pm so alot of people not waiting or are leaving early Loud music until midnight everynight, not ideal with children trying to sleep Waffle/ice-cream bar is charged at extra cost No clear entertainment board or regime of info / times. Sort of figure it out job. WiFi sketchy signal across rooms and resturants Breakfast is probably the least varied meal time, as long as your happy with continental style you will find something They don't do pints, are small spirit measures and small coffee cups, it just makes you order 2 of everything increasing barman workload. No food service between 4pm-6.30pm (would be an ideal snack service after swimming pool/beach etc like the pizza bar?) No self service drinks outside of meal times (coffee machines could be left on?) Lots of steps not suitable for less able

Top tips The alacarte Kiyi resturant serves lunch with table service, food is better here and better for British style snack menu. The food court (Turkish restaurant on map) has daily eat outside and take away lunch menu which offers food the buffet doesnt. Coffee shop serves good proper barista coffee compared to coffee machines in resturants. Taxi to ichmela/marmaris is only 50tl / £3 each way, (taxi rank by hotel gates) don't buy anything in the hotel shops as it's atleast half price or better in town including pool stuff for kids Kids buffet great for little ones food choices, but you have to look for it in a room at back of resturant and be quick as runs out quickly Good WiFi signal anywhere there is a bar! Don't have Ice with drinks they already super cold and reduces an already small portion/measure Bring lira for hotel, same for resort. Can use pounds if prefer but lira works out better rate, don't bother with euros. Can be cold out side with wind coming off mountain and sea with being very open hard to avoid. Bring jackets / blankets

Fabulous complex great service

Review by Foodgloriousfood2020 Cheshire, United Kingdom

We have returned this week from a week at Marmaris palace from the moment we arrived until the moment we left the service was fantastic. What struck me was the immense pride that all of the staff had especially the chefs. It was only as the week went on we discovered more bars and cafes etc and nothing was ever too much trouble...

I have been to other all inclusive places and seen people sat around drinking all day and cuing for miles at the bar but I can’t say I saw a single cue the whole time we stayed or drunk person for that matter. The cleaning staff work so hard and our room was spotless each day and there was assistance with the luggage to and from the lobby. The security is great both at the beach front and entrance to the hotel and a managed barrier. There is something for everyone at meal times we couldn’t make every meal so some days world get something light from the bakery or a meal from the bar. The pizzas were fabulous very light and thin and there is even ice cream for the kids at lunch. The water taxi to marmaris/icmeler stood at the end of the private beach and there is a bus stop and taxi rank. Thanks for a fabulous time and happy holidays to those who choose to stay here you won’t be disappointed.
