Beautiful hotel at the beach close to pigeon island , good food, most of all friendly staff - We planned the trip quite few months back but had to postpone with the covid situation, hotel helped us to re-book our family vacation, it was a excellent experience plan to be back again for sure.
Our two nights stay recently was a pleasant surprise at Anilana Nilaweli. It was midnight when we checked in and the staff including Lasantha, were all ready to welcome us. The occupancy was very low, but the standards were beyond expectations...
All including Indrajith, Vimukthi and the kitchen staff were extremely helpful. We had great food, nice cocktails and good entertainment. Since it was not crowded, we requested a karaoke to be setup and it was all done for us without any hesitation. All I had to do was to connect my laptop. Overall, it was a great trip during this uncertain times. We really enjoyed the stay with you guys.
I have a family stay booked here for August and pre-paid. I have been requesting a refund since March, when it became obvious we would not be able to travel. I have emailed the hotel management dozens of times, which they have ignored several times...
Two weeks ago they said they would pay my refund in instalments - highly inconvenient but better than nothing. However they have now gone silent again and I am yet to receive any of my money back. I would strongly advise against booking here at the moment because you are unlikely to see your money again if you are unable to travel.
My wife and I spent two nights at Anilana Nilaveli in early July as part of a trip to the East coast. We had a Deluxe Room on the third floor, which was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious, clean and equipped with all amenities...
There is a balcony that is ideal for an evening sit-out. The staff was very friendly and the resident Manager and Chef were regularly interacting with the guests to ensure their requirements were looked after. Although there was no buffet at mealtimes (due to low occupancy during the post-Covid-19 lockdown period), food from the a la carte menu was excellent. The hotel has direct access to a quiet and clean area of Nilaveli beach, and the kiosk of the Department of Wildlife Conservation for booking boat tours to the Pigeon Island is located right there. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend it for a relaxed holiday.
Great service, staffs were very helpful we stayed in room number 17, management offered us free upgrade to pool chalet. peaceful place we are really enjoyed well. We will definitely come back again...
Thank you!
