Helped in every possible way! From the friendly welcoming receptionists, polite professional house keeping, the lovely waitresses for breakfast and the welcoming staff on the door (concierge and security)
Brill pool facilities, overall luxurious and very relaxing.
Mr. Tarek, the General Manager went out of his way to accommodate our multiple room bookings return to the Dukes.
The Boardroom functions were well attended too by the staff and the food in general was exceptional good.
The chef went out p produce some Asian food for my guests.
All in all, we will return as soon as next month, again.
Well Done !
We stayed at Dukes Hotel for 10 days / 9 nights with breakfast included. Since it was our 4th time in Dubai, we stayed at the hotel in order to enjoy the room, the pool and the beach.
However, we found the room a little small (we booked a Deluxe Room and had not a balcony or terrace at first)...
We asked the reception to change room and we then met Temurbek, who is a wonderful and careful person. He definitely made our trip feel like a 5star hotel. Indeed, the room was a little small and other hotels we used to stay was larger.
I also lost my phone at the reception and Awfar managed to keep it safe. Many thanks to the staff at the reception & at the pool, very professional, very cool.
Also, the breakfast was not what we expected. It is correct breakfast but not exceptional because for 9 days we kinda ate the same food everyday, it is as various as it may ( should?) be.
To conclude, if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the pool and the beach, I recommend this hotel for its calmness.
But if you’re looking to party at beach club, it’s not the place because it’s a family hotel. For us, we stayed as a couple so we enjoyed our journey because we wanted to relax.
But we’d also like to highlight one thing : sometimes near the pool and in the room in the morning there is a strong scent of sewer (first drop of water from the shower might come out yellow also).
I have just finished a truly exceptional, 15-month stay at Duke's. Frankly, there are not enough superlatives to describe my experience. Duke's has an outstanding staff, is immaculate, has very comfortable, well decorated rooms and great facilities (the outdoor pool is quite large, it also has an indoor pool and a very nice beach). Its steakhouse./restaurant is quite good (sit outdoors)...
and an ample, reasonable barbeque brunch (Read: Roast meats, seafood (New Zealand green-tipped mussels and lobster) and various, prepared dishes.. The breakfast and night buffets offered a variety of dishes. As long as I'm discussing food, I have to note that one of, if not THE, best Indian restaurants, Khyber, is in the hotel. Alluded to above, the hotel staff were Incredibly friendly and helpful. I would particularly like to single out Mark, Awfar, Enis and Ruthie. The desk personnel were great, too. Yes, I was a long term guest. Even so, the level of service was remarkable. If there was a way to do something, the staff would find it. My rooms, a premium one bedroom apartment with a gorgeous, unobstructed view of Dubai's skyline (night was spectacular) was kept immaculate, thanks to Sumit and his crew. I liked coming "home" to rooms which smelled fresh.. The apartment had a good kitchen (dishwasher, frig, stove, cooktop, and was fully equipped; it was a furnished one bedroom). It had its own washer/dryer combination, too. Both the bedroom and living area with kitchen were good size. One criticism: The closet could have been bigger; I could have used a chest of drawers and desk as well. But, again, as a long term guest, I had more clothing and personal items then most travelers. COVID also forced me to do most of my work from "home." The hotel also boasts the Duke's bar, identical to the one in London, where Ian Flemming invented the Vesper Martini . On the weekends, Duke's becomes a busy resort for a modest entry fee (free to guests). Go early for lounges by the pool as these fill up quickly given Duke's popularity with expats and the large number of hotel guests. In sum, I really had an excellent experience with Dukes. That;s the reason that I was comfortable, and happy, for my 15 months at the hotel. It's really a great place to stay or to spend time. Excellent in every way. And don't miss the brunch and pool.
The hotel is located at the beginning of Palm Jumeirah. The position is great, from the room and from the pool/beach you have a stunning Marina skyline view. It’s also only 7’ walking from the Nakheel mall (literally on the other side of the road), which offers good dining options...
The only minus is that also due to some constructions in the area, it is not so easy with a stroller to go from the hotel to the mall.
The staff is super friendly, everybody is smiling and helpful. I want to mention especially Dilini, which has been always very nice to us and so sweet to my daughter. She took care of us at breakfasts and provides some vouchers for dinner.
The rooms are also very specious (we got even a free upgrade) and overall all the facilities are nice. We loved the lazy river, which we enjoyed in the morning when it was too hot to stay in the beach. In the late afternoon instead, we started by the sea and enjoyed the beautiful skyline view.
