Stayed here with my family, January 2020 and had a great time. The place is very clean. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient...
We originally had booked a standard room, but after one night we decided that we would like a superior room. The girls in the reception couldn't be more helpful. Everything was sorted with the minimum of fuss. I would recommend this resort to anyone.
Friendly and helpful staff. We got room at ground floor at first, but got a different room as we wanted a better view of the scenery. Clean and tidy hotel for a reasonable price...
Would stay again. Happy hour in the bar. Made strong cocktails. Nice pool.
I had stayed in this property for two days. The staff here is the best, always smiling and going out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are very nice especially the pool facing ones.
One of staff members even offered a free ride on his bike to the main city...
Will definitely come back here again to experience the amazing calm and hospitality that this hotel has to offer.
Been here 2018 and 2019 is a great place staff is so good and frendy. If you find a problem they will fix it while you are out to eat dinner. It there is something that need tlc it is the shower but I am not here to stay in the shower 24/7 so I don't mind clean updated room every day they got my full compliment
Me and my family have stayed in Lamai Buri four times since 2010. In 2016 and 2017 we came here with our daughter who was 7 months in 2016 and 2 y.o. in 2017...
This time we came in low season in September 2019 and i may honestly say that Lamai Buri is still one of the best budget family hotels in Lamai area. We paid approximately 39 USD per night for deluxe room and what we see:
Still perfect condition of all hotels facilities. They even made nice renovation in pool area compared to 2017. There are many flowers and beautifully decorated plants all over the hotel's territory.
Location is good for us. 10 minute walk to nice southern part of Lamai beach, 10 minute walk to Lamai area with many restaurants. 1.5 km (5 minute by car) to Tesco Lotus Lamai. We have a car here, thus no problem getting anywhere. Family mart is 50 meters from hotel entrance if you need some basic snacks or beer.
Staff is gorgeous. Very polite, smiley, speaks basic English quite well.
Simple breakfast is included in room price. Nowadays in September its a low season and they do not serve buffet breakfast. You may just choose American or Asian option. We prefer American and its more than enough - omelette, sausages, ham, some fruits, toasts, butter, jam, tea/coffee. When we stayed in Lamai Buri in hot season they served simple buffet, which is a little bit better. But still, this low season alacarte option is enough considering price paid.
Really nice pool with pool bar. As i mentioned before, they did little renovation in pool area and now it looks much more modern.
Sea view from deluxe and suite rooms is gorgeous. So nice to wake up in the morning and see blue sea just in front of you.
The only minus to be mentioned is hat rooms are getting old and in my opinion needs renovation. They are still ok but not just as perfect as hotel's territory, pool and etc. During our first days we experienced a smoke from relay control unit and we were moved to another room. In my opinion hotel must check all electrical wiring for safety issues.
Anyway, Lamai Buri is still a great budget option in Lamai, will surely come back here in future especially if hotel management will consider room renovation.
