A lovely property but a dangerous pier.

The hotel is lovely and apart from the pier and the monkey trail, our experience was excellent. We got lovely rooms (after requesting a change) and the staff was very nice and courteous. Our waiter, Bo, took extra care and helped arrange a lovely birthday celebration...

He single-handedly made our experience more pleasurable.

The only big disappointment of this hotel is accessibility. The way to get to the hotel is via a boat or walk through a path which goes through a jungle with monkeys. Walking on the pier, with strong waves, is a nightmare. They should at least have it steady. The railings are broken and one person in our party experienced severe back pain because of this.

The monkey trail is very risky and a bunch of monkeys were ready to snatch any packet we had in our hand. One of the afternoons, multiple monkeys came to the verandah of our room and made a mess including breaking a glass water bottle.

Unique Experience in Krabi

Overall, we enjoyed 7 nights at this property in June 2022.
The staff was very helpful. Couple of things to note:
we were in the Royal Villa Room 2999 it was expansive and impressive with so much room...

For a family of five is was excellent. we had our own pool and plenty of outdoor space to hang out with privacy. I believe this is the largest room on the property. the lounge access was incredible too. so much good food and drink during the day. the only downside to the experience was that the facilities were a bit dated and needed to updated a bit. no doubt this property in its hey-day was royal. this is by far the nicest resort in this area other than maybe Rayavadee which was 4 times more expensive (not sure what you get for that). that said, the property is essentially "in the jungle" located in a nature preserve - our villa was frequented by a family of monkeys during the day. an occasional monitor lizard would appear by the pool some days and we even saw a few tree snakes around the pool. again, a very unique experience. overall this place is incredibly picturesque like no other place in the world.

Review by Curiosity07283897800 Chandigarh, India

It is wonderful to stay in centara. It is very exotic location and a must go place. Rooms are extremely spacious and bful and very clean...

Hotel staff is also good and cooperative. Although when I visited from june 21 to 23 one of the restaurant was not operational and I didn’t get Indian non veg food for my family. I m sure that’s a temporary closure. Would love to visit again. Awesome place with lovely see view and pvt. beach. Full marks to hotel.
