Wonderful stay in an a amazing resort.

Review by johancX5104DN London, United Kingdom

One of the most beautiful resort we have ever been at. So nice with plenty of greenery and a lovely lagoon going through the resort. Felt like we lived in the middle of a rainforest! We stayed in a Sala Pool Villa which was just amazing! All the amenities you could ever ask for...

Super clean. Lovely pool with a nice bathtub. Very comfortable room which we loved staying in, we even extended our stay for another two nights. Our room also came with a sala over the lagoon, which was really cool! Were we could watch the fishes and lizards swim by underneath us! The resort was beautiful and lovely, but it was the staff that made our stay even more exceptional! They were all sooo lovely, helpful, always smiling and willing to help you with any possible need. A special thank the the staff team at the infinity bar, Ann, Bew, Wee and Fon! They really made us feel at home. They became our friends and we just loved visiting them each day, drinking great cocktails and chatting :) But all staff we encountered was great. From Jack, Lactan & co at breakfast. To JJ and Mew at reception and Nana the masseuse at the spa. And many more we can’t remember their names on. We also did a lovely cocking class which was truly great, we felt like professional thai chefs afterwards! We also enjoyed the various complimentary exercises classes each day. Food and drinks was also great throughout the resort. We tried all restaurants and we loved them all. I guess we enjoyed Sea, Fire, Salt the most though :) Only negative with this resort is its location, its a bit off if you want to explore phuket. This resort is more a location in itself, especially if you want to relax, eat and drink good and have lovely staff members around you all the time. We would and will definitely come back! Thank you so much to everyone at Anantara! :D

The staff is the best you can get with really going out of their way to assist you with anything you need and always with a smile...

The villa, pool and lake side privet sitting area are just perfect. Cannot wait to get back!

We stayed at the hotel for 15 days and we just didn't want to live. Amazing resort on a beutifull and quite beach. The stuff was very friendly, welcoming and eager to help...

The villa was big, clean and very comfortable. The private pool is big and comfortable. The resort facilities are very good. The food is amazing- The La Sala restaurant has the best indian food on the island, and their thai food is great also. Their cocktails are very good. Their price is a bit high comparing to thailand but you get value for it. The location is a beet far from the main beachs and attractions, but you can rent a car. We will be back to that resort!

The Anantara Mai Khao Villas Phuket is still really one of the best I have been to so far, the service, the food and the facilities were great :)

I think the hotel is great, but you shouldn't take the short reviews, which only consist of 1 or 2 sentences, too seriously, as they are superficial and absolutely do not reflect the character of the resort or the extraordinary friendliness (REAL) of the entire staff. Because whoever has been there, always wants to go back and forth and whoever reports negatively, it is not worth being pampered in this complex and by staying away does less harm than leaving stupid, anemic, negatively formulated comments ... Location and surroundings The location is very good from the airport, it is only half an hour away. You should choose the Hotel Airport Pick Up Shuttle (several variants possible) when booking your hotel...

Very quiet, heavenly located resort. There is the Turtle Village Center a few meters away, with cafes, bars, restaurants (currently a Mexican) pharmacy and a Seven Eleven. The beach is very well-kept and absolutely deserted, which is not only due to COVID-19, but to the fact; that Mai Khao is more of a place for those seeking tranquility than party people. To Patong approx. 1 hour (Thai time: -P) by taxi, or Bang Tao / Laguna Beach approx. 30 minutes Villas The 83 villas (different categories and sizes) are all with their own sala and private pool and extremely high privacy in traditional Thai style. The minibar is great, filled with beer, whiskey, rum, gin, vodka ... drink packs, Cola, Fanta, tonic water, chips, chocolate bars, pretzel sticks and water and moderately priced. There is a 7/24 room service whose menu changes from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daytime menu, then from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. to the night meal Food and snacks come from the same excellent kitchen as dinner astronomy Here I have to say 1A, just great. There was something for everyone around the clock. For breakfast (in La Sala) there is all imaginable freshly squeezed juices, coffee, different teas, water, etc. omelets, rolls, muffins, pancakes, rice and pasta dishes, sushi, different kinds of jam, yogurts, various absolutely fresh fruits each Color, yes, vegans too, get their money's worth and there is definitely something for everyone. At the pool bar, among other things, delicious snacks and delicious fresh coconut and watermelon shake; alongside the other non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. In La Sala you can also have lunch or just drink Gap in the afternoon and enjoy and feed the lagoon with the masses of koi and the 4-5 monitor lizards that live there. In the beach restaurant Sea.Fire.Salt you dine exorbitantly delicious with a view of the sea
