I would happily recommend this hotel. We had a standard room with a balcony which was a really decent size and clean. Staff were lovely and friendly...
They were happy to keep our bags and let us use the pool until our flight later in the evening. Quiet location and an ideal 10-15 minute walk to the main area of Kara.
We had a wooden cottage near the reception: very nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful: a broken airco was quick repaired.
Big fridge, plety of towels, also for beach (including extra mat for under towels). Ca 500 mtr form beach...
In evening lots of restaurants (dinner in restaurant of hotel was also good).
On beach you can hire longtail boats for trip to islands. We had a great time.
-they don‘t have clean covers for the bed -Loud room in the beginning (then switched to another room which was much better -> Service was good at 1:50 am 😀.. -> don‘t take the rooms without balcony then your stay will be fine.
Kata Country House will not be a place we will forget, lets start with the staff. The staff were very helpful and one in particular, Vicki. Vicki was very helpful in changing our room on arrival, initially we didn't like the room we were given (Double Standard) because it was very basic...
So she helped us by showing us 3 others and we found one we loved, pool view more facilities etc. She wasn't helpful just for this, she was guiding us through the excursions and got us some pretty neat deals, all of this being accompanied with some well spoken English.
I liked the delivery of water every morning to our rooms before we wake up, although it was warm, it's still a nice gesture.
The 2 pools are very well kept, must have seen 5/10 staff on it through out the days and times we were there, there does seem to be a bit of a divide in which one the kids and the adults prefer, which believe me we was open to!
Last thing it was lovely having our own (by room) beach bag, beach towels and beach mat. Overall, its a great location, 20 minute walk to the beach, you may want to walk on the other side of the road unless you like getting harassed by (salesmen). The staff overall very helpful and facilities were good.
The only thing we didn't like was the breakfast, was a very interesting selection and defiantly more what you would eat for lunch, NOT FOR BREAKFAST. Consider more nationalities I would say.
First night in Kata we went here for dinner. Very friendly helpful staff and it's nice place inside. Food was good and not expensive...
The staff who work here are its biggest plus. They make you very welcome..
