Fairly decent for its price point, would recommend a hotel that's more convenient

Review by anastasia13517 South Korea

Pros:

  1. Views and ambience, the hotel offers a great view of Kata and Kata Noi Beach from certain angles
  2. Ground staff, the staff working on the ground were extremely helpful and friendly 10/10 great service 3...

Shuttle service, the hotel offers shuttle service to both Kata and Kata Noi beach however it ends at 5pm and there's only 3 slots available both back and forth (a cab from the beach would cost you about 10 USD) 4. In-room service, were very fast and efficient

Cons:

  1. Inconvenient, if you're looking to walk to the beach don't be fooled by the short distance of 1.2km as the walk includes a few extremely steep slopes which isn't ideal in the 32° heat
  2. Noisy, the walls aren't very soundproof if you're a light sleeper be prepared to be awaken by random noises from the neighbors in the middle of the night (such as the neighbor closing their door etc) + to add there was also construction going on right outside my room in the middle of the day (drilling sound, for almost an hour) I've included a picture of the area where there was construction
  3. Views, the room said it had a view of the sea...however 30% was the ocean view and the remaining 40% was of some construction/mud and the other 30% was of the roof... we got a room with an outdoor tub and unfortunately there were people and staff walking along the corridor and had a clear view of the tub
  4. The front desk staff was extremely grumpy and unfriendly, she was not at all welcoming which made the start of our trip a real downer
  5. Food, unfortunately there weren't much food options (one page room service menu) + the galleri restaurant (be prepared to download and use the grab app service to help you order food in from nearby eateries)
  6. CVS, as with the lack of options there's a convenience store in the hotel but it closes at 6 and have a very limited variety of items
  7. Breakfast buffet, pretty standard breakfast nothing impressive and slightly repetitive food on a daily basis and the music is on repeat for the entire day so you'd hear the same few songs in a loop
  8. Turndown service, our bed was made wrong side up the entire trip (meaning that the opening of the duvet that's usually tucked into the end of the bed was facing the wrong way and you'd have a huge opening of the actual duvet and not the sheets covering it touching your face which is quite unsanitary) the sheets also weren't change as there was a stain on both the sheets and pillows but both weren't cleaned for our entire stay

Note: Our suggestion is that if you wish to explore the area and head to the beach everyday pick a more convenient hotel, for the price point (we paid about 60USD$) you'd be better off finding something along the beach or at the bottom of the hill :)

The best views with professional, friendly service.

We had an extensive stay at The Sea Galleri during June/July, of 22. Although off season for the Western Hemisphere, this hotel has my highest all around ratings, ever!

Right from the beginning we discovered how helpful the service staff was and how they displayed a sincere interest in making our stay easy and enjoyable.

.We asked to see a couple of rooms before we made our choice and they immediately went to it. We wanted a room with a “sea view”...

The front desk staff and manager were very helpful and patient as made our selection. The retro look was nice but the modern room was good looking and function.

The “abf” American Breakfast provided was ust what you’re thinking a full buffet style of bacon, sausage, eggs pancakes along with some traditional Thai foods of Pad see ew, Pad kra paow and variations. They also included a number of chilled, mouth watering fresh fruits. All in their open floor plan roof top cafe with a constant breeze and great view. The food serving staff were superb in their politeness and attentiveness to our needs.

We used their scuttle service to one of two beaches offered to an affiliate hotel with a large pool and concession. Many nice “cold-drinks” and smacks were charged to our room. A wondering professional foot masseuse was occasionally available for a through and inexpensive 60 min. treatment.

At this hotel, there are two pools with breath taking views to chose from. My favorite place was the roof top restaurant, an amazing piece of paradise with many seats showing grand views of two beaches and their rolling surf.

Very Nice Hotel

My husband and I stayed here from 12th March to 24th March 2022. When we first arrived, we were put in a room we had not booked, that did not look like the photos. However, we got an apology and they explained that there were other people in that room, and that we could go in to the correct room from 1pm the following day...

This was all done smoothly. The rest of the stay was great. The corner room on the 3rd floor has an amazing view of the beaches and you can see the sunset. It's truly amazing to wake up to that view everyday. There's a shower and bath (great) however limited storage for clothes (not great). Also, our room was cleaned every single day without error and towels were always changed, water always replaced. They even tidied up my desk and put my make-up in a tray, so lovely. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The pool is great! We spent a few evenings in the infinity pool and it also has a great view of the sunset. Overall, apart from the hiccup at the start, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay.
