Twinpalms Resort Surin Beach

Review by LewisHammill Dubai, United Arab Emirates

We stayed at the Twinpalms Resort for the first 7 nights of our 3 week Phuket trip. Prior to our arrival, the communication from the hotel was excellent, they were efficient, clear with instructions and extremely helpful. They provided consistent support and arranged all of the Sandbox processes and transportation for us...

We booked a Lagoon Premium Room and were very pleased with the quality and cleanliness of the room; it was great to have direct access to the Lagoon Pool. The main pool was large and clean; a great area to relax during the day. The breakfasts at Oriental Spoon were very good quality and the staff on these shifts were the standout positive of our experience at this hotel. After breakfast, the relationship between the hotel and guest started to lessen; having stayed at 3 further hotels, on reflection there was less of an atmosphere and personal approach. We believe this may have been a result of limited on-site dining and beverage facilities for the remainder of the day. The hotel had a number of facilities available off-site, within a short shuttle ride. This service was free and the hotel arranged this at times that suited the guests; an excellent provision. We spent a number of nights at Catch Beach Club and Palm Seaside. The locations of these facilities were excellent and food was good; we were extremely pleased on first impressions, but again the range and quality of food could have been improved when we compare these to our further stays. Although not part of the hotel, we would highly recommend Benny’s Cocktails and Grill nearby. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel to others. Thank you.

A dream destination Twinpalms Phuket.

Review by bangkok7 Lemvig, Denmark

Arrived to Phuket and beautiful Twinpalms after 3 months in Sweden. Such a great hotel with Swedish owners, friendly and efficient staff. Was picked up at Phuket International Phuket and ready fot the Phuket Sandbox quarantaine...

Got a real lovely room with pool acess. The hotel pool is a 100 meters, excellent for swimming. The breakfast buffet can't offer a better choice. There you'll find almost everything including many different breads, not only white toast bread and croissants that is very common even in 5 stars hotel & resorts. The hotel offers a Sunday brunch by the beach which is a pure enjoyment. Several restaurants belong to the hotel and a shuttle bus take you to the beach etc. The gym is a modern dream with everything you can ask for. It's a paradise in paradise. Once there, you will always come back.

You would expect a little bit more for your money in a five star hotel

Review by PhuketFamily

The room was comfortable but small. Nothing special to write about. Had to call reception several times in a two day stay to fix amenities repeatedly.

Food choice at the hotel is extremely poor, its a 3km drive to their other restaurants...

Catch which has a great reputation had very poor service and the food on the menu wasnt represented on the plate. The Lazy Coconut again 3km from the hotel was a great location and fantastic food and service. Shuttles run infrequently to the restaurants and absolutely no food options in walking distance of the hotel itself. So if you plan to stay in the hotel for your entire stay think twice.

It was hard to leave

Review by שי א

After examining dozens of hotels in Phuket we chose the hotel located on Surin Beach. Especially in these days of recovery from the Covit-19 hotel its location is excellent and combines tourists with locals in a charming way. The hotel itself is decorated in a Thai style, rich in pools, great atmosphere and exceptional service...

The rooms are big and cozy, the breakfast is just WOW and the hotel staff is always ready to help. The hotel is very suitable for couples and parents of small children. After 12 nights (!) It was hard to say goodbye to the hotel staff.

Great as a bed and breakfast but with an absent host

Review by tomcollar Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The hotel is beautiful, the room is clean and the breakfast was lovely. Unfortunately, that is where my praise ends. The rest of my experience was clouded with bemusement...

The hotel seemed completely oblivious to guests beyond breakfast time. Getting tourist advice was near impossible and there was zero atmosphere around the place. What needed to happen:

  • put some music on by the pool.
  • open the pool bar and put some happy hours on.
  • don’t forget (after being reminded) to print off our PCR tests to allow us to board our return flight. We were on the verge of missing our flight if not for the incredible support from the emirates staff.

Simple changes that would have made a big difference. Certainly wouldn’t return.
