Management Is Missing A Golden Opportunity

Review by michaelpU3607VM Hanoi, Vietnam

I want to start by saying that the location of this place cannot be duplicated by any other hotel along the shoreline in between Hoi An & Da Nang. This property has unlimited potential, but it is really rundown. We had scheduled a stay in June, 2021 for two weeks, but had the trip cut short by a week due to Covid...

We returned in March, 2022 to utilize the unused week. I mention this because the lady that was running the resort in the summer of 2021 went above and beyond to accommodate us during an unusual time. She no longer worked there when we went back in March of 2022.

During our most recent trip we arrived at the resort a little later than expected due to a flight issue. We were escorted to our ocean view villa late on a Saturday night. The power to the villa was not on, which told me that they hadn’t done anything to the room in preparation for our arrival. We ended up sharing the room with cockroaches and an army of ants around the bathroom vanity and bathtub. The towels were so rough from being rolled up and left in the room for what I can only imagine was a significant period of time. The private pool had a light dangling by a wire inside the water. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the TV wouldn’t even turn on (yes, it was plugged in). The beach was full of trash, which shouldn’t be the case considering it’s private for Le Belhamy guests. Breakfast was supposed to be included, but the restaurant area was completely empty during our short stay. From the time we stepped foot into our room on Saturday evening, we did not see or hear from any employees until we checked out Monday afternoon. We cut our stay short by five days due to all of the conditions that I listed.

The older security gentleman out front is one of the nicest guys. He was always very friendly to myself and my children. I stand by what I said earlier about the amount of potential this place truly possesses. Even with all of the big names moving in along this shoreline, Le Belhamy has the grounds that can’t be duplicated. Respectfully, until management makes a commitment to being better it’s best to find another hotel to stay at.

Two week stay during COVID lockdown

Review by Robbie L Da Nang, Vietnam

On booking into Le Belhamy Resort for a few nights to organise our visa extensions in Hoi An, we found ourselves suddenly stuck there for two weeks due to lockdown. We were the only guests there in this resort of some 600 rooms, unable to return to our apartment in Dien Ngoc (despite it being in the same Dien Ban lockdown aea!).

On arrival at the resort, we were upgraded to a better room (actually a small villa on the beachfront) but there were a few issues with the room, which resulted in another upgrade to a pool villa at no extra charge. Amazing.

Despite being short-handed due to travel restrictions, the staff were amazingly helpful and looked after us extremely well at all times (especially Ms Thao). The service was 5-star the whole of our stay and only ever a phone call away.

Unfortunately all the normal facilities (restaurants, bars, etc) were shut down, but food was delivered to our rooms on request, and a lovely breakfast was delivered every morning.

We would definitely like to return after COVID to see the resort in its full glory.

Many thanks to the wonderful management and staff who looked after us so well.

Dirty, run down facilities and noisy dogs. Not family friendly.

Review by JayandRay Hanoi, Vietnam

The hotel has two swimming pools and both were very dirty so we could not take our 5 month old baby swimming. There was sand all over the bathroom and bedroom floor when we arrived. There are pet dogs at the resort that can roam the grounds but bark quite often at all hours...

The chickens will wake you up at 4am every morning as well. During the summer, even with the air conditioning on, the rooms cannot get below 25C. The breakfast was basic and the most poor out of 5 hotels we stayed at in the area over a 5 week period.

The only positive was that the room was big with a nice balcony.

Another wonderful stay

Review by juouelle Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

We come to this resort whenever we want a peaceful holiday with plenty to do. Resort has tennis courts, table tennis, badminton and more. Not to mention nice pool(s) and a private beach...

Breakfast is quite good as well.

Staff are very friendly and make you feel at home.

You can walk to Anh Bang beach or use the bikes at resort to bike around nearby rice terraces.

Resort is very affordable and we'll be back.
