Depart London on your scheduled, overnight flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia, via Singapore.
On arrival in Siem Reap, you will be met and transferred to your hotel where you will have the rest of the day at leisure to relax or explore the area.
Enjoy a full-day tour of the historic Angkor Wat temple complex and discover the ancient city of Angkor Thom, Bayon temple and the famous Angkor Wat, together with the jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm.
This morning, transfer to Tonle Sap lake to board your cruise ship, your home for the next eight nights. Sail through the afternoon before mooring overnight.
After breakfast, spend the morning cruising towards Kampong Chhnang, one of the largest fishing ports on the Tonle Sap. Taste the regions famed palm sugar before touring around the village on board small local boats. Later, return to the ship to continue to Kampong Tralach.
Start today by enjoying a short ox-cart ride to reach a beautiful pagoda amidst magnificent landscapes of rice fields. In the afternoon, embark on a trip to the little-known copper making village of Koh Chen where residents have been perfecting a craft handed down over generations. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dance show and dinner on board.
After breakfast, transfer for a tour of the historical capital of Phnom Penh. Begin at the dazzling edifice of the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda then enjoy a local lunch
Sail along the Mekong Channel into Vietnam. Arrive in the early afternoon to Chau Doc, a charming oldfashioned fishing and farming town situated in the heart of a gigantic grid of rice fields where floating farms overspill into the waters.
Embark on a sightseeing tour of the colonial town of Sa Dec. After lunch, cruise toward Vinh Long where hundreds of boats criss-cross in all directions between houses on stilts. Arriving in Cai Be to experience the local floating market.
Transfer to small boats and visit the nearby islands of My Tho. Visit a beekeeping farm and experience its honey tea and exotic fruits. After dinner, the evening is at leisure.
Enjoy a city tour of Ho Chi Minh, visit the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post office. After lunch in the afternoon, visit the National History Museum and explore Ben Thanh markets at leisure. Return to the ship for a farewell cocktail and gala dinner. After dinner, the evening is at leisure.
After breakfast, disembark to devote the morning to explore Cholon, Vietnams largest Chinatown. After lunch, use the afternoon to explore Cholon at leisure. Later, bid farewell to the ship and transfer to your hotel in Saigon.
This morning, travel to the underground village of Cu Chi to discover the vast network of underground tunnels. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
Today is left to explore at leisure before transferring to the airport for your flight back to the UK, via Singapore
Up until 30th June 2018, a visa is not required for stays up to 15 days. From the 1st July 2018 and for longer stays a visa is required for entry into Vietnam. We work closely with The Travel Visa Company who will be able to arrange your visa for you on your behalf. Please call them on 01270 250 590 and quote "Mercury holidays". The cost of the visa is £98.50. The visas take around 10 working days to issue and are only valid for 3 months from the date of entry. Therefore we recommend that you apply for your visa 8 weeks before travel, however, please be aware that your passport will be required for the application so please ensure that you will not need it during this time. Alternatively, you can visit the Embassy of Vietnam in London: 12-14 Victoria Road, London, W8 5RD. If you have booked the Temples of Cambodia extension following your tour, you will need to purchase a visa for Cambodia costing USD $30 on arrival at the airport in Siem Reap. Please note that you will be required to bring a passport photo with you as well as USD $30 cash in order to apply for your visa on arrival in Cambodia.
If booking more than 10 weeks before departure a deposit of £250pp will need to be paid at the time of booking with the full amount payable at 10 weeks prior to departure. The deposit applies to adults and children. If you are within 10 weeks of travel then the full balance of the holiday will be payable.
Your scheduled flights from London Heathrow Terminal 2 to Cambodia and returning from Vietnam are with Singapore Airlines. Each passenger is entitled to 30kg of hold luggage plus 1 item of hand luggage. Weight restrictions will be finalised on your E-ticket receipt. Should you wish to take additional luggage you will need to pay extra at check-in. Check-in should be at least 3 hours before departure. If you wish to arrange Airport car parking or accommodation at preferential rates, we recommend you book this in advance with Holiday Extras on 0871 360 2000, quoting HX313.

This tour is accessible to most people with an average level of fitness and normal mobility. It involves full days of sightseeing, often on foot, and includes some climbing of stairs and getting on and off coaches and boats. This tour is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
The minimum number of travellers in your group will be 10 and the maximum will be 45. In the unlikely event that there are fewer than 10 passengers booked on your tour date, you may be asked to change to a different date. A full refund will be made available to you should this alternative not be suitable.

The currency in Cambodia is the Cambodian Riel (KHM). We recommend that you take some US Dollars (USD) with you and exchange this currency whilst you are travelling. The currency in Vietnam is the Vietnamese Dong, known as VND. You can exchange your currency in Vietnam, however, US Dollars are widely accepted in Vietnam should you wish to keep an alternative currency on you.
You will need to take some extra money with you to cover any dinners which are not mentioned on your itinerary and for personal purchases, such as souvenirs, extra drinks and snacks. Approximately £300-£400 per person should be sufficient for the duration of your tour. Tipping is not compulsory and is at your discretion. Should you wish to tip, you can give this to your guide and driver when you leave them in each place. If you feel you have received a good level of service, we recommend approximately £2 ($3) per person per day for the guide and driver. This will be collected at the end of each destination visited for your convenience. Tips are accepted in the local currency, US dollars and British pounds.
