Mr Lazarus and I returned from a two week holiday in Jardins d'Ajuda Hotel, Madeira last week. I am writing this note with our questionnaire because we had the most comfortable and enjoyable holiday we have ever had. The hotel was excellent and on arrival we had been upgraded to a suite, which was excellent. The staff were so efficient and always smiling which costs nothing, but makes such a difference to clients. The dining room was run so professionally an the food excellent. You can see from the questionnaire form that everything was excellent. The position of the hotel was also very good, and for older clients the courtesy bus was excellent, although we could also walk in to Funchal very comfortably.
We have been to Madeira a few times and like the island very much, but booking with Mercury certainly was a big plus for us and we commend your company of such excellent value for money. Flying with TAP was also excellent with plenty of leg room and once again a very attentive and smiling crew. The whole experience was so enjoyable and we cannot speak highly enough of your company on our return from this excellent holiday. We have travelled to Malta with you in the past and I am sure we will travel elsewhere with you in the future, but did want you to know what an excellent holiday the Jardin d'Ajuda is, from the client point of view it has everything one could wish for, for old and young alike.

My wife and I have just returned from Madeira where we stayed in the Gorgulho Aparthotel. We felt we should write and express our complete satisfaction with the holiday whilst the memories are still fresh. We had requested, when booking, a high room and in fact we were allocated a room on the tenth floor. The room was on the front corner of the hotel so that the view from the balcony encompassed the whole of Funchal, its backdrop of the mountains and an uninterrupted sea view from the front and side of the balcony. It would be correct to say that we could not have chosen a better room ourselves. The room was spotlessly clean and maintained that way each day. The facilities within the room were adequate and similarly clean. The catering in the large dining room was good and consisted of three courses; perhaps the comment could be made about a limited choice but the catering suited us. The service within the dining room was friendly and, overall - excellent. The reception staff were friendly and answered each question in a helpful manner. Generally nothing seemed too much trouble. You will appreciate from the foregoing that we felt we had a thoroughly good short break. We will look at your offers with confidence whenever we consider holidays in the future.
Having lost my husband in June after a years' illness, I saw your advert in the Sunday Mail so decided to send off for your brochure. I booked 3 weeks at the CS Madeira Atlantic Resort and Spa and thank you for such a lovely holiday, never having used your business before. Being on my own, as you can imagine, I was a little apprehensive but delighted to say the hotel and everything was superb.

We spent a delightful 4 nights at the Pestana Grand hotel from 17-06-10 and enjoyed it so much that we hope to return in September.
Everything from start to finish was perfect, from the initial booking to our departure. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was a veritable feast and apart from the annoying habit of people leaving their towels on deckchairs to reserve their place the pools and surroundongs were gorgeous.
Can not wait to return in September.

Firstly can I say how much we enjoyed our first holiday with Mercury Direct, to Madeira for three weeks in January this year. We had low expectations believing that as it was so reasonably priced it would probably be fairly basic but our expectations were well exceeded. We particularly loved the fact that the bedroom in the Monumental Lido has the sun on the balcony all day, which was really lovely. We would be interested in returing to the same hotel at the beginning of January 2012.

We were delighted with the service of Mercury and Windsor your representatives on the island.
We were particularly pleased with way that airport to resort was undertaken with clean luxurious Mercedes minibuses and also similar were used for tours. Also driver/ tour guides we very good .This was a refreshing change from what we have experienced in the past

We need not have worried. The holiday was above and beyond our expectations in every way, truly a Five Star experience. The bedrooms were beautifully furnished, as was the rest of the hotel. The facilities on offer were superb as was the dining room and bar service. Staff were wonderful. We are really not lovers of buffet style food but found the selection varied and well presented. All the right touches were there in abundance and dining staff efficient, happy and unobtrusive. Many thanks again for a wonderful memory. The only drawback was the way the balconies were positioned, since each one overlooked the other but that's only a small point. Flights and pickups were spot on and well organised.
