Villages brimming with sun-kissed Italian character, revered culinary excellence and a timelessness that lures many to explore this region, all await on our spectacular eight day cruise. Along the way, uncover southwest Italy with optional visits to the once great Pompeii, hill dwellings that hug the Almalfi Coast and mighty Mount Etna from the vantage point of Taormini's Roman theatre in Sicily.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: UK to Naples

Depart London on your scheduled flight to Naples. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the city's harbour to board the MS La Belle de l'Adriatique. Having met the crew and enjoyed a welcome cocktail, relax on board for an evening at leisure.

Day 2: Naples

Following your breakfast, you'll have the opportunity to embark on an optional excursion to the UNESCO recognised ruins of Pompeii. This utterly engrossing archaeological site displays remarkably preserved remnants of the city, moments before Vesuvius' tremendous eruption. In the afternoon you may embark on an optional guided tour of Naples, one of Italy's most intriguing cities home to extravagant baroque architecture and quintessential Italian culture played out within quaint cafes. Return to your ship this evening whereby you'll continue through the night to Milazzo.

Day 3: The Aeolian Islands and Milazzo

This morning enjoy a leisurely cruise passing the UNESCO recognised Aeolian Islands - a verdant paradise that emerges from the shimmering cobalt waters. Later arrive in the hill clinging town of Milazzo, a charming abode of rustic houses overlooking a serene waterfront boulevard. You may either explore Milazzo at your own pace, or undertake an optional trip to Tindari, a Graeco-Roman sanctuary home to the enigmatic Black Madonna statue.

Day 4: Messina

Embark on a short cruise to one of Sicily's largest cities, Messina - host to magnificent turn-of-the-century edifices, one of the region's finest cathedrals and freshly caught swordfish specialists revered by chefs across the globe. Today is at leisure to explore Messina at our own pace, you could alternatively join an optional excursion to the fascinating Roman theatre in Taormina and the notorious active volcano, Mount Etna. Return to the ship, which this evening will have a distinctly Sicilian theme.

Day 5: Vibo Marina and Calabria

Arrive this morning in the sun-baked region of Calabria, with a stop at the picturesque beach resort of Tropea, a town characterised by stunning costal scenery and a timeless facade. Following lunch on board continue to one of Calabria's most prized hidden gems, Pizzo. This sleepy seaside town boasts two distinct treasures: its extraordinary rock-carved grotto church and irresistible tartufo ice cream. Return to your ship this evening for an overnight cruise.

If booking more than 90 days before departure a deposit of £250pp will need to be paid at the time of booking with the full amount payable 90 days prior to departure. The deposit applies to adults and children. If you are within 90 days of travel then the full balance of the holiday will be payable.

Physical Accessibility

This cruise is accessible to most people with an average level of fitness. It involves some climbing of steep steps, and getting on and off boats. This tour is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

Cruise Director

An English speaking Cruise Director will be on board your cruise to help with any queries that you may have. They will not accompany you on land, this will be your free time to explore each city at your leisure. Airport transfers will be with an English speaking driver.

Currency Information

The currency in Italy is the Euro, We recommend that you exchange your currency before you leave the UK, however cash machines are available in all the major cities to withdraw money in the local currency.

Personal Expenses

You will need to take some extra money with you to cover any dinners where these are not mentioned on your itinerary and personal purchases, such as souvenirs, extra drinks and snacks. Approximately £200-£300 will be sufficient for the duration of the tour.

La Belle de l'Adriatique

The ship has 99 cabins, a cosy atmosphere with a spacious outdoor terrace on the upper deck and two whirlpools on the sun deck. Other amenities include a main lounge bar plus a piano bar.

All cabins are equipped with shower and toilet, hairdryer, satellite TV, radio, safe. Spaced across the Upper and Main Decks, all cabins are outside facing and located above the water affording outstanding views from the large picture window.

All-inclusive Dining

Your day will always begin with an impressive buffet breakfast. Chefs prepare succulent 3-course meals for lunch and dinner which are served in the onboard restaurant. Midday and evening meals are paired with excellent and carefully chosen beers and wines, included in the price. An open bar is available throughout the voyage (not including Champagne, special wines, premium spirits or fine brandies).

Life Onboard

All cruises start with a welcoming cocktail reception where you'll meet the captain, crew and staff of your ship. Facilities onboard include a comfortable lounge for your enjoyment and relaxation as well as a souvenir shop. FREE Wifi is available in lounge bar and reception. The sun deck offers a panoramic view of the landscape's beauty as you cruise.
