Overlooking the crystal clear Indian Ocean at Marawila, 40 miles north of the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo, you'll find the four-star haven that is Club Palm Bay. Set amongst 30 acres of lush greenery with a stunning lagoon, here is one of the most memorable holiday locations on the island. An ecological nature reserve and a traditional fishing village are also near enough to visit and widen the variety of those treasured holiday experiences.
This is a hotel that really captures the essence of a fantastic holiday in Sri Lanka. The hotel decor reflects local styles and colours and has a comfortable and traditional feel. The twin and double bedded rooms are all air-conditioned for your comfort. All have direct dial telephone, television, safe, mini fridge and piped music to get you in the holiday mood. Room service and laundry service are also available on request at a small fee for your comfort and convenience.
Once you've checked into your room at Club Palm Bay, you'll step out onto your balcony or private terrace. Now is the perfect chance to take a moment and savour the sea air, the swaying palm trees and the clear skies.
Head outside and you find a truly impressive clear blue swimming pool. There's a separate pool for children too. For a cool swim and the chance to soak up some rays, you can also head out to the secluded beach where you'll find golden sands and stunning views across the Indian Ocean.
After a satisfying meal in one of the Club Palm Bay's two restaurants, why not find a comfortable corner to watch the sun go down? Or perhaps you'd prefer to enjoy a drink at the pool bar followed by the disco. There's evening entertainment on offer too.
And tomorrow? How about a boat trip? Or fishing? Or perhaps volleyball or tennis or a round of pitch and putt. We'll leave the choice up to you.... It's all within your reach at Club Palm Bay.

We refer to CPB as our home-from-home and that sums up why we have stayed 8 times, starting in 1997. The staff are welcoming and caring as well as working really hard. Many of them have worked at CPB for several (and more) years. We love the location which provides comfortable places to enjoy sun and shade, and (of particular interest to me) the wide range of wildlife to be found in the gardens and the surrounding lagoon.
A really pleasant surprise.
Our favourite hotel the rooms facing the lagoon are beautifully positioned to watch the life on the waterways and either sunrise or sunset . A lovely tranquil setting.
Lovely staff extremely friendly.
Extensive food choices in the restaurant catering for everyone.
We have been to Sri Lanka at least a dozen times and this was the best hotel we have ever stayed at.
Lovely hotel set amongst beautiful gardens in bungalows around a lagoon . A really relaxing site perfect position for traveling either north or south . . The pool is massive like a hot bath with different depths for everyone to enjoy. The food choice is limitless something for everyone. If you want a special meal or have dietary requirements Chef Aruna can’t be more happy to oblige. Also al la cartes 5 star standard if you fancy a bit of luxury set at a special table Dennam will happily arrange this,
Don’t forget to book your free massage it will want you having more superb .
The staff really go the extra mile to offer service with a smile. I've been to this hotel several times and was treated like an old friend. Rooms are spotlessly clean and a small army of gardeners keep the very large grounds in good condition.
I took a walk on the beach and commented to the guy in charge of the pool that the beach was dirty and littered with rubbish and dog mess. A couple of days later the hotel staff set to and cleared up the public beach area. Five stars for effort and thoughtfulness!!
The friendliest hotel we have ever visited - that's why we keep returning.
A great hotel! The staff are exceptional - service with a smile. Food choices are good with plenty of options other than curries and the Ayvedaric treatments are well worth booking. Emirates proved the best airline we've used with you
A very good hotel where you are made extremely welcome and are able to completely relax
Very clean and tidy, with very friendly staff.
A very good holiday.
I booked a Garden room and expected a room "somewhere in the grounds". I was delighted to be given one of the few upper floor rooms overlooking the lagoon. Perfect, especially at sunrise & sunset.
Pool was fantastic.
All the staff were really friendly, always smiling and helpful. Entertainment most nights. Always able to find something to eat as there was plenty of choice. Rooms cleaned every day even if it meant that they had to come back later.
Very good overall Hotel, vast grounds very large pool and very large rooms. Plenty of activities. We enjoyed our walk back to our room, mostly taking a long route around the lagoon, as you never knew what wildlife you may see or encounter. Staff very friendly and efficient.
The Management of the hotel admitted they thought that in recent times their standards had slipped. But made a point that they were intending to change this and we experienced their efforts.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
All staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Good laundry service. A fantastic variety of food every mealtime with plenty of fresh veg and fruit. Don't know how they manage to provide so many choices and quantities of Good food three times a day! A lovely hotel and destination.
