The four star Crown Resorts Horizon Hotel certainly comes with a great horizon. Look one way and you'll see the superb outdoor pool, another and you'll see Coral Bay. All of which makes the Crown Resorts Horizon Hotel such a popular choice with holidaymakers.
Things look pretty great on the inside too. The impressive lobby sets the tone – it's sleek and modern and oozes class. All the double rooms are well furnished and come with essential amenities, like satellite TV, radio, hairdryer and telephone. Extras such as mini bar, safe and tea/coffee facilities are also available for a small fee. A variety of room upgrades are also available.
Among the highlights of most peoples' stay at the Crown Resorts Horizon Hotel are the pools. Outside is a magnificent lagoon style pool; while inside is a very chic indoor pool with rocky wall features – a cool oasis in the heat of the day. Then there is Coral Bay itself – a wonderful location for a spot of shopping or a quiet meal looking out over the Bay and the beach.
A big feature of the Crown Resorts Horizon Hotel is the wide range of things to do – something for everyone. From gym and tennis facilities to sauna, steam bath and massage treatments to the excellent complement of bars and restaurant (with singles table). You can even play bowls. Maybe you should add a few days on to your stay!
The Crown Resorts Horizon Hotel offers such a wide range of facilities and benefits from such a wonderful location that it could just be your perfect holiday hotel.
This impressive 4-star hotel has established a good reputation for comfort and service. Superb guest facilities including an outdoor lagoon pool, indoor pool and fitness club make it a popular choice. Just over 300 metres from the sandy beach of Coral Bay near Paphos, the hotel is close to local shops, bars and restaurants.
I was staying at the “Crown Resorts Horizon” for 2 weeks and have to say that the staff is very friendly. Especially during that hard time due to the Corona-Virus, every single one is trying their best. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful, when it comes to trips, tours, busses ect...
Also the staff at the Restaurant is sooo nice. The chef-waiter George was always there for a little talk and to joke around. He is so funny :D The food at the breakfast-buffets is most of the time the same, but it is yummi. They have cereals, yoghurts and fruit, baked beans, eggs, omelettes, cheese and bacon, toast and many more. The dinner-buffets is different every day. They always have meat, fish and vegetarian options. Very delicious! The hotel has a pool, which is great for kids and the adults. You can enjoy a drink at the bar too. Furthermore it offers a spa with massages and a gym. If you want to go to the gym, you have to reserve first. There were not too many people and it is very clean. My room was efficient and I had a nice view on the sea. I had a little balcony as well. The Hotel is located in a good place. The beach is within 5-10 minutes walking distance, you have a lot of bars and restaurants near it. There is a big supermarket also 5-10 minutes walking distance. Right in front of the hotel is a bus station. The bus 615 drives you directly to the harbour in Pafos. You pay 1,50€ in one direction or 5€ for the whole day. I would definitely recommend the hotel! You get good value for a fair price.
well second time in hotel did not live up to first 4 days of 10 day holiday good but no entertainment because of virus then be gain to go downhill swimming pool restricted hours then closed by day 6 all-inclusive but some of the alcoholic drinks wear no lounger available staff walking out as they had not been payed others crying then the food started going downhill no choices on the last day before they shut for lock down we had broken dried bread for toast but no butter as they said that it was all gone disappointed with the way we wear treated could of put more effort in a radio playing music would of cheered it up staff being more professional head waiter in bar was very cheafull which helped
stayed end of February and was so disappointed. The hotel was dated, dirty and dingy the food was so bad, cold and just horrible, the room was very dated with a tiny balcony, I must say the cleaning ladies were very good and when we said the bed was hard they gave us a topper for it which made it better but being plastic also made it very hot. the smile we got from the cleaning lady was the only one from the team, what a miserable bunch...
oh well being all-inclusive we went to the bar the drinks are watered down I told the Tui rep about all the bottles of open brandy with no labels on she said if you think they are watered down tell the barman you want to see him open a new bottle, I did he refused, i took a glass to the rep who refused to taste it, but said she would give it to the bar manager to taste, she did not get around to this. The outside pool and gardens could have been better looked after and should have been as they could be a big plus to the hotel. As the hotel is now closed due to the virus it should take the opportunity to renovate it could be very good, it has a lovely position two mins from a lovely beach
My first venture with Mercury Holidays and it certainly won't be the last! Everything went like clockwork despite the implications of coronavirus on my last couple of days when it started to become urgent to make sure we got home on time.
The hotel was more than adequate and certainly good value for money. Lots of people - mostly elderly I have to admit - having a really good time. But these people love to spend time away from the cold winter weather and they do keep the hotel going for others to enjoy during the summer months!
My room was clean and well serviced daily and the food was plentiful and varied...
I'm a very fussy eater with a couple of food allergies and I had no problems at all in finding something nice to eat at both breakfast and dinner. Having read comments on here about the food I have to say I am a little surprised and disappointed. I never expected English sausages here If I wanted an English breakfast every morning I would have gone to Blackpool!
But this is Cyprus - the Mediterranean - and they do things differently. I'm happy to respect this and enjoy the differences in culture and not kick against them.
The staff here were really good. Very cheerful despite having to work so hard.
Yes, the bar prices were a little excessive but you find that in most hotels and I can live with that. A 5 minute stroll down the strip in Coral Bay will soon locate cheaper bars.
The facilities here - indoor pool and gym, etc. were great especially as the outdoor pool was not yet warm enough to enjoy.
Yes there were some disappointments - dirty plates and glasses left near the lift overnight. But I suspect this is a product of guests taking stuff back to their rooms when there really is no need to. There was ALWAYS plenty to eat in the restaurant!
Overall, I thought this was great value for money. Given the opportunity of a similar deal in the future I will have no hesitation in visiting again - virus permitting of course.
I hope all the hotels, bars and restaurants in this busy little location survive these very difficult times and quickly return to normal afterwards.
we booked a last minute break but after reading reviews on tripadvisor I was a bit anxious about it we couldn't have been more surprised it was lovely perfect locaton in Coral Bay very clean and well cared for pool lovely but too cold to use in Winter indoor heated pool much better plenty of sunbeds for lazy sunny winter sunshine days . Room was great get a sea view if you can sunsets are magnificent, cleaning not an issue daily fresh towels plentiful hot water are powerful shower pleasant bar and lounge area very comfortable drinks fine except beer frequently flat as if gas not connected but other than that no problem. we were all inclusive and the meals in the restaurant were good plenty of variety and the Cypriot night was wonderful staff very busy maybe not enough tables very close together don't know what the food complainers usually have for their meals at home but remember you are in Cyprus everything was well cooked and hot we never went hungry.Overall the staff were very good polite friendly especially the girls on reception and in the bar ...
only one thing we would like to point out on the terrace outside the bar there is no rubbish bins and plastic glasses (oh dear why oh why ) get blown all over when they are left on tables and usually end up in the pool. it wasn't exceptional but a good base for Coral Beach area very clean and guests well looked after WE WILL RETURN
