Funchal

Funchal is one of those special holiday destinations you'll want to come back to. With its idyllic climate, beautiful beaches and fine mix of shops, bars and restaurants, it gives holidaymakers a perfectly-balanced holiday. For sightseeing, beach-time and taking it easy - Funchal is the place to choose. All you need now is the perfect hotel - and with its four star facilities and sleek, chic style, the Enotel Magnolia (formerly the Enotel Quinta Do Sol) is an excellent choice.

Exceptional location and amenities make the Enotel Magnolia one of Funchal's finest

There's no doubt about it, the Enotel Magnolia is a beautiful looking hotel in a stunning location. Overlooking the Quinta Magnolia Park, you'll see lush greenery in one direction, and the cool sea in another.

With its sleek, modern exterior, the Enotel Magnolia is a wonderful sight. Refurbished in fine style in 2013, there's a real sense of high-aesthetics on display throughout the hotel. From the elegant reception area to the chic bar and the superb fitness centre - with its elegant treatment rooms and heated pool - this is a chic hotel with real character.

Guests' air-conditioned en suite rooms are stylishly designed and appointed, with splendid views over the landscaped gardens. Equipped with a range of facilities to ensure a comfortable stay, including a minibar. You can also upgrade to a sea view room, some of which features a balcony- just ask for details about how to upgrade when you book.

Rooms are well-stocked with television, telephone, mini bar, safe, and hairdryer. There's free Wi-Fi too, so you can stay in touch with family and friends and plan your itinerary easily.

Every detail at the Enotel Magnolia is just right. Nestled in a quiet part of Funchal - but still within easy reach of the many attractions - including the famous lido promenade - this certainly is one of Madeira's finest contemporary hotels.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Enotel Magnolia

Review by DerbyAnonymous Derby, United Kingdom

Chose this hotel for its location, 15 mins walk into Funchal, was more than happy with our stay, good size room and bathroom plenty of storage with a flat screen TV although English channels were a quite poor, ours was a garden room so very quiet, the sea facing rooms do face the road which can be busy, there was quite a long queue for dinner each evening you would think in the early season dinner would be earlier we would have preferred this instead of 6.30pm, also they have to tick off everyone on a paper list which is in no particular order so you’re waiting ages whilst they find your room no. was quite comical, breakfast was lovely, dinner not a huge choice but fine, facilities we cannot comment on as we were sightseeing so did not use them or entertainment, would definitely stay here again but not for a sunbathing holiday.

Great hotel

Review by annewhee Glyn Ceiriog, United Kingdom

Stayed here for one week at end of April 2022. Lovely hotel, great food and friendly staff. Spa facilities are great and everywhere was spotless. Easy location for walk into main town (about 15 minutes). Anyone visiting Madeira must go see the tropical gardens at Monte and go back down in the basket toboggan ….very exciting. Would definitely recommend.

Definitely four star

First holiday since before covid so understandably a little nervous. No need to worry, Masks in the common areas, hand sanitizer stations throughout the building. Enough of Covid the hotel is well furnished in the common areas reception staff excellent. Our room was on the third floor and was overlooking the gardens next doors...

The room was simply but stylishly furnished and was perfect for our needs. Food was buffet style in the single restaurant - meal sessions were well managed and the food was excellent in both choice and quality. We were fully inclusive so we were able to ‘snack and drink all day’ Waiting staff were amazing - special mention to the fabulous Andre Melim and also Felecia Laberne (hope I got that right), Casia Silva, Jose Manual and Marco Alfonso. If I had any suggestions for improvement it would be the quality of the evening entertainment. The folk troupes were excellent but the remaining nights weren’t the best. Don’t let this put you off this is indeed a four star hotel and we will return
