Dream trip

Review by paige p Port Orange, Florida

My fiancé and I spent 11 days at kihaa and I can agree that it is more of a 3 star resort compared to other hotels in the Maldives BUT the staff really give it an extra something!! 5 star service all the way!! Dawa and the rest of the bar staff at the swings bar we’re just over the top. Very attentive! Ibrahim was top notch!! He just went above and beyond for us the whole time we were there! I couldn’t say more nice things about the staff. If we were to come back it would be because of how we were treated during our stay...

Food was good even though I’m a really picky eater I was always able to put together a full meal for myself no matter what theme night it was.

Amazing stay

Review by 442kavinp

Kihaa Maldives Kihaaddhufaru Island Male, Maldives Resort Kavin Parekh 290 points a day ago We stayed for 5 days and our experience at Kihaa was awesome. It is a beautiful resort with an infinity pool and has nice benches, swings and hammocks along the beach which makes it very picturesque. The staff is very courteous, polite and makes extra effort to ensure you have a good time.As a vegetarian indian couple, we were vary of our food options, but the chef was very nice and prepared indian food for us on order which was almost the same price as that of an half board/full board buffet meal (when prebooked with the stay)...

We stayed in a water villa and that was also very well cleaned and maintained. We could clearly see the fishes when we stepped out of our water villa. The water around the villa is less than a 1.5 metres deep and makes for a very good casual snorkeling experience. We had already bought scuba masks and fins ( to save money on the rentals ) and had a lot of fun snorkeling around the island. The ocean dimensions team (in house diving) is also very helpful and explained us the process of scuba diving in detail and ensured that we have an enjoyable experience ( because we were first time divers). They also have day long snorkeling trips, kayaking, jet ski, etc. for sports/fun activities. They also arrange some activity every night - like movie screenings, karaoke, pool parties etc. which was also fun.For all my questions before reaching the resort, Julius was very prompt in answering questions over email and phone. Do reach out to him if you have any questions. Overall we had an amazing experience and will strongly recommend this resort for a relaxing trip in maldives.

7 day anniversary

Review by simonbaston Cardiff, United Kingdom

We recently had a 7 night stay there and on balance had a great time And can recommend

There were room issues that were resolved and some quirky Management issues but it’s a remote Maldivian island and to be Expected. Some rooms a little tired , gym not such great working order etc - but v minor issues

It was my third Maldives break and good value . We ate away from the buffet on three occasions which helps to break it up and 7 nights was enough in terms of food offering ...

As an adult ( not huge drinker ) id recommend all inclusive package

Staff are excellent and v helpful Diving superb - sharks , moray eels , turtles etc and staff v patient

Ask for sunset beach pavilion as best on site Sunrise/set as expected spectacular

Really worth going to Kihaa

Water villa standing on sand with non-working pool

Review by Ilona S

KIHAA was the worst experience ever. We’ve booked water villa with small pool and paid quite a big amount of money to feel that maldivian holiday spirit, but when we arrived we were surprised not in a good way. Water villa standed not on a water, but on sand, it was more like villa near the beach...

Moreover, the pool was not working and empty. We asked to change villa to REAL water villa, and we were assured that tomorrow morning they will move us to other villa. Finally, we were moved to other villa after three aqtive requests to other recently painted villa with a very strong smell, so being inside was not so easy. On the day of our departure, our boat had to take us to airport at 18:30. Checkout was at 12:00 and we thought that we will get some soft drinks or coffee as we were AI till our departure and we are isolated in an island, but to our big surprise, they provides only water after 12:00. Very strict to their guests, while not so strict to themselves. We do not recommend this resort, as it is not ready to accept guests as they advertise! Not coming back for sure. Maldives is a wonderful place, but not this resort.

Very beautiful island

Review by KarlN310 Austria

The Kihaa Resort is really on a beautiful island. The reception, pools and arrangements on the beaches with very nice setup. We stayed in a sea villa, The interior is in first view also good, but by closer look, already can see, some years passed by, somehow used up and simple...

The pool on the villas are too small and basically useless. The sun terracces could be bigger. The restaurant is also old stylish, the buffet is offereing daily a different variety of food, good, but nothing very special. The service, we have to say is very friendly and helpful. They made our stay a pleasure with the beautiful landscape. Snorkelling at the resort riffs are ok, but not too much to see. Very interesting is the fish and manta feeding every night. Really sensational.
