Paris and The Romantic Seine Valley

Beginning in one of the world's most beautiful cities, set sail from Paris along the serene Seine river for an eight day cruise, passing some of Normandy's most stunning communes and picture-postcard sceneries. Along the way, a number of optional trips are on offer including a visit to Claude Monet's elegant home, a fascinating tour of the Normandy landing beaches and a guided Parisian city walk.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: UK to Paris

Depart the UK on your scheduled flight or Eurostar train to Paris, you will then be transferred to the MS Botticelli or MS Renoir for a welcome cocktail and a night cruise to admire the city sights.

Day 2: Paris

With verdant boulevards, timeless artistic treasures, chic fashion boutiques, charming outdoor cafes and architectural elegance crowned by the Eiffel Tower's iconic wrought-iron spire, Paris is undoubtedly one of Europe's most glamorous cities. Today you are free to explore the city at your own pace, alternatively undertake an optional morning guided tour.

Day 3: Vernon

Enjoy a scenic morning cruise along the Seine to the French commune of Vernon. An optional trip is on offer this afternoon to the picturesque village of Giverny for a tour of Claude Monet's graceful house, surrounded by manicured gardens. This evening enjoy on board entertainment as you continue along the river, en route to Duclair.

Day 4: Duclair

Following a buffet breakfast to a backdrop of magnificent scenery, arrive in Duclair. The afternoon is at leisure within this charming French commune, you could also embark on an optional excursion exploring the town's abbey trail, which begins at Saint-Wandrille and concludes at St Pierre, one of the finest examples of 10th century Norman architecture. Following this stop, your ship will continue to Honfleur with the addition of on board entertainment.

Day 5: Honfleur

This morning head out for an optional tour to Cote Fleurie (flowered coast), with another optional trip this afternoon through the enchanting town of Honfleur famed for its elegant harbour. Alternatively a full day optional excursion has also been arranged to visit the infamous Normandy landing beaches, passing the towns of Omaha Beach, Coleville sur Mer and its American cemetery.

If booking more than 90 days before departure a deposit of £250pp will need to be paid at the time of booking with the full amount payable 90 days prior to departure. The deposit applies to adults and children. If you are within 90 days of travel then the full balance of the holiday will be payable.

Physical Accessibility

This cruise is accessible to most people with an average level of fitness. It involves some climbing of steep steps, and getting on and off boats. This tour is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

Cruise Director

An English speaking Cruise Director will be on board your cruise to help with any queries that you may have. They will not accompany you on land, this will be your free time to explore each city at your leisure. Airport transfers will be with an English speaking driver.

Currency Information

The currency in France is the Euro, We recommend that you exchange your currency before you leave the UK, however cash machines are available in all the major cities to withdraw money in the local currency.

Personal Expenses

You will need to take some extra money with you to cover any dinners where these are not mentioned on your itinerary and personal purchases, such as souvenirs, extra drinks and snacks. Approximately £200-£300 will be sufficient for the duration of the tour.

All cabins are equipped with shower and toilet, hairdryer, satellite TV, radio, safe. Spaced across the Upper and Main Decks, all cabins are outside facing and located above the water affording outstanding views from the large picture window.

All-inclusive Dining

Your day will always begin with an impressive buffet breakfast. Chefs prepare succulent 3-course meals for lunch and dinner which are served in the onboard restaurant. Midday and evening meals are paired with excellent and carefully chosen beers and wines, included in the price. An open bar is available throughout the voyage (not including Champagne, special wines, premium spirits or fine brandies).

Life Onboard

All cruises start with a welcoming cocktail reception where you'll meet the captain, crew and staff of your ship. Facilities onboard include a comfortable lounge for your enjoyment and relaxation as well as a souvenir shop. FREE Wifi is available in lounge bar and reception.
