St Raphael Resort

Limassol, Cyprus
TripAdvisor rating:TripAdvisor Rating Based on 1501 reviews

Package Holiday (7 nights)

£444pp (£888 in total)

To see a five star hotel with such a sleek, contemporary sense of style is a rare treat. From the individually colour co-ordinated rooms to the stunning layout and views, this is a facility that has the feeling of a stylish boutique hotel, but on a grander scale and with an incredible array of facilities.

No wonder then that the St Raphael Resort has been named the leading all-inclusive Cyprus resort for the last two years running. Set in beautifully landscaped grounds on the outskirts of Limassol and boasting its very own sandy beach and marina, it is the ultimate holiday oasis.

Award winning luxury at the five star St Raphael Resort

Tucked away in its four acres of grounds, but still conveniently close to Limassol – a thriving hub of good restaurants, must-see cafes and the busy waterfront – the St Raphael Resort hotel is in a league of its own.

Its range of facilities goes far beyond the norm to include a solarium, beauty salon and steam baths. You can truly indulge yourself with a hydro-massage or beauty treatment; even a new hairstyle. Like we said, this is a real holiday haven; an oasis of peace and contentment.

You'll find the same level of perfection in the guests' rooms. As well as air conditioning and drinks making facilities, you will enjoy the tasteful furnishings, the satellite TV with a range of pay movies, and even ice makers and shoe polishers in the hallways.

And if you do ever tire of the wonderful luxury, you can push yourself further in the gym or on the tennis courts.

We recommend, rounding off the day with a fabulous meal in one of the hotel's fine restaurants, followed by a very convivial drink at the bar. This is the time to relax (even more) as you look out over your surroundings and appreciate it to the full.

If you thought luxurious living was going out of fashion think again. The St Raphael Resort hotel is dedicated to your utmost enjoyment, giving you an exemplary standard of holiday living.

Hotel is in a beautiful location on a lovely beach. The staff can't do enough for you and make you feel extremely welcome. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and over the coming months the bedrooms are being updated. This is our favourite destination in both early summer and autumn.

From our booking confirmation we had clear instructions on how to make our way to the included transfer. The rep was helpful and this was easy. It was nice to have a printed confirmation as I know a lot of companies are trying to save paper, so thank you.

The hotel was excellent in almost every way - superb in appearance, pleasant and helpful staff, a superb range of food and drinks on offer with all inclusive - even if arriving at 22:40 Local Time! I would like the Captain's bar to play a wider range of music in the evening though: for the first 5 days we found ourselves listening to the same four 'Best of CD's. The Water park at Fasouri is able to play a range of recent and inoffensive music so please, why can't the Captiain's Bar at St Raphael?

We do not have any food allergies but other guests informed us that the chefs are very accommodating in this aspect and will even cook a separate meal if desired!

I requested a double bed on the booking with Mercury however my girlfriend and I had to make do with two singles. It would have been nice to have a double even though we were in a Twin room.

There was often a bassy, knocking sound somewhere in the building - audible within the bedroom every day/evening - which we decided might be the staff/service lift nearby our room.

On a separate note there were two wedding receptions with music playing until 2am on the first two evenings - although this didn't bother us.

        Pool Bar:
I was a little surprised that the 'Amphibion' pool bar was closed on our first full day (Sunday) however it opened every other day which was great.

        Our ultra all inclusive arrangement clearly stated non-motorised watersports including pedal-car, kayaks, paddle-board and hobie cat sailing boats. We enjoyed the kayak and pedal-car. However the watersports staff said I would have to pay €40 per hour to sail solo or dual in the cat, even though I have RYA Level 2 Sailing certificate. When I queried this I was told that;

'The all inclusive boat had been broken so I would have to pay to use the 'by-the-hour' boat instead.'

This did not explain why I would have to pay for the un-motorised paddle-board however. I honestly feel cheated here because we were told that we weren't entitled to use some of the facilities which we had paid for all-inclusive!

The attitude of the watersports staff in this regard seemed unfriendly and I had been looking forward to some sailing - the weather conditions were excellent and I had even planned to spend a day using all of these facilities. Either there needs to be a re-wording or the hotel needs to fix the equipment. This situation isn't really acceptable as it is.

        Otherwise the hotel was super.
