Serenity Makadi Beach

Loved the location, and the hotel is super. It was a calm atmosphere and loads of staff to help you. I upgraded to the suite and loved the size of the room, it’s has good air conditioning. The entertainment team are great lead by Katlyn, with Besos and Abdel we had great fun. Food to really good but their Brazilian restaurant is fantastic and a must to do! I’ll be back next year but for 10 days!!

We arrived in a private transfer, only £26pp so no brainer. From the outside hotel looked good, from the inside, even better. We were offered a couple of rooms we weren't keen on, 2nd floor. They then found a 1st floor room which was perfect. Room was a decent size, balcony was too. Shower room was spotless, just like the whole hotel. Buffet breakfast was great, everything was hot, plenty of choices. Staff always friendly. 4 pools, 2 swim-up bars, so many beds you don't have to rush down at silly o'clock to reserve one. Great tip - you can get a beanbag with "do not disturb" on it and the sales guys don't pester you. Just get it from the towel hut and hang it on your parasol. Beach area is beautiful, but it's a bit windy. Don't expect to snorkel there, and if you're walking to the edge of the water, try not to step on starfish, there's hundreds of them. Animation team are fantastic, special mention to Beso and Julia, they were so nice, they helped make our holiday memorable. Emad at the pool bar and Muhammed and Mahmood at the lobby bar couldn't have been nicer. All the guys mentioned deserve praise. Al la carte booking was simple, we had 7. Indian was outstanding, Oriental and Asian were ok, acceptable, Italian, not so much. Lasagna was all pasta, virtually nothing else, pizza had far too much cheese. We did feed it back and were over compensated. Thank you Lorina from guest relations (sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly) People complain about the a la carte booking system, it's really easy. Enter your room number, enter the code reception give you and just book. The beach snack bar is good, fresh pizza and pasta, made to order. Trips We booked one with the Easyjet guy, was meant to be 3hrs. We got on our boat 1hr45mins after being picked up. Sorry Sayed, never again. We booked one in the hotel, 2 snorkeling stops and a bit of time on Orange Bay. Herded like cattle into a designated area, about a mile from water deep enough to swim in. But despite this, we enjoyed our trip. Don't pay more than £40pp, they started off at £100pp. We had the massage experience, £35 each. I had the sports massage which was brutal, but I needed it. My partner had the gentle massage and loved it. We were both in the same room so was so relaxed.

If buying gifts etc, no prices on them. Offer less than 50% of their 1st price, they'll take it.

We met some nice Belgian, German and a couple of nice Russian people. Not many British people seem to come here, unfortunately.

We stayed at Serenity Alpha Beach in Makadi Bay from 15 June to 25 June 2026, and we had an absolutely wonderful holiday. I travelled with my sister, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcome, relaxed and completely in the right place.

The hotel itself is beautiful and located directly on the beach, which made the whole atmosphere feel even more special. Everything invited us to slow down, relax and simply enjoy the moment. The surroundings, the beach, the palm trees and the overall vibe of the resort created exactly the kind of holiday atmosphere we had hoped for.

The food was very good, tasty and varied throughout our stay. There was always something delicious to choose from, and we really appreciated the variety. We also visited the Mexican restaurant during our stay, and it was excellent. The food was delicious, and the service there was especially great.

A very big compliment goes to all the staff members of the hotel. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly, helpful and always ready to take care of the guests’ wishes and questions. What stood out the most was that the staff always had a smile on their faces and created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We also want to say a huge thank you to the entire entertainment team. You made our holiday even more special with your great programme, your constant good mood, your energy and all the lovely conversations. A very special thank you goes to Joli, Abdou, Beso and Miley. You had such a crazy, contagious and amazing energy, and you really made us smile every day. You are doing a fantastic job.

We stayed in room 2117 in building B3, and we honestly had the best cleaning man ever. He was extremely friendly, kind and attentive. We really took him to our hearts during our stay. Every day, a new towel sculpture was waiting for us in the room, which was such a lovely and personal touch. It always made us happy when we came back to the room.

Overall, it was a truly successful and relaxing holiday. We were able to rest, enjoy the pool and the sun, but at the same time, there was also plenty of fun and entertainment. The balance between relaxation and activities was perfect for us.

There are only a few small points that could be improved. The room furnishings, especially in the bathroom, felt a little outdated in some places. The shower screen, the toilet paper holder and the toilet brush holder could use some maintenance, and the ceiling above the mirror looked a little like there might have been some water damage. During our stay, we also had no warm or hot water several times. The issue was always fixed very quickly after we reported it, which we really appreciated, but unfortunately the problem came back more than once.

However, these are only minor points compared to the overall experience. We would honestly describe this as complaining on a very high level, because we felt incredibly comfortable and well taken care of throughout our entire stay.

All in all, we had an amazing holiday full of relaxation, fun, kindness and wonderful memories. We would absolutely come back again and can warmly recommend Serenity Alpha Beach to anyone looking for a beautiful beach holiday with great food, friendly staff and a fantastic atmosphere.
