My stay was nothing short of perfection From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable and incredibly welcoming. The food was absolutely exquisite, with a wide variety of delicious options that delighted every palate. The room was beautifully appointed, comfortable, and offered a truly luxurious experience. Every detail of the hotel reflects a high standard of hospitality and comfort. A massive thank you to the entire team for making my stay so memorable—I cannot wait to return
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making my stay very relaxing. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and enjoyable. I truly appreciate the excellent hospitality and attention to detail. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I look forward to visiting again!
Best place in Sharm, the stuff is very nice, rooms mor than perfect, the entertainment is important part of the activity, finally the food, my God, the best quality ever
This hotel feels like our second home, as we always stay here, so I can confidently say the comment below is not true.
As usual, everything was perfect. The food was amazing with a great variety, and they even prepared special food for British guests.
The rooms were always very clean, and I really appreciate the housekeeping team for all their efforts to make our stay memorable.
I personally saw the incident, and honestly, it was not the hotel’s fault. The girl was fixing her hair and did not notice the grill. The staff reacted immediately and provided first aid.
A big thank you to all staff members — bar team, restaurant team, housekeeping, reception, and lifeguards.
Special thanks to the management for always providing excellent service. Highly recommended
We visited Naama Waves in June 2026 with friends (2 adults & 4 children) and the best I can say about this hotel is that is was ok, and thats being generous. We arrived after midnight and were met with a receptionist who just couldn't be bothered. He was very stroppy, didn't explain where anything was and even argued about giving us wifi access when we tried to give him our mobile numbers so he could connect us! We were given a sheet of paper with opening times for food and the bars etc and that was it. My 3 year old daughter was bursting for the toilet which we found and the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming and the toilet areas were disgusting. Not the best first impression. Our luggage was taken to our rooms (no lifts so this place is not wheelchair or pram friendly at all - there's stairs to contend with even to get to the griund floor rooms). When we got into our room, i noticed how spacious it was, and that's the best thing I can say. The bathroom was filthy with previous occupant's hair in the shower tray, rusty toilet, toilet seat broken & wonky, and disgusting scum around the bathroom sink. We used the shower in the bath every day and that wasnt much better. The plug hole was blocked from day one and there was no way i was unblocking it myself! Another VERY worrying thing about the rooms is that there are unlockable adjoining doors which is quite unsafe, especially if you're travelling with children. Anyone would be free to enter your room at any time! The beds were comfortable enough to sleep in which was a blessing after our long journey.
On to the food - The main restaurant again leaves a lot to be desired. Breakfast was ok but serving chicken burgers and chips in a morning is strange! Other meal times were worse with not much plain food for children who are fussier eaters. The pasta is covered in sauce with no option to add your own sauces if its wanted, the plain rice is served right next to rice with fish in, and there's no allergen advice whatsoever (e.g. seeded breads mixed with plain bread - not good at all for those with nut allergies which one of us has and suffered because of). All options are just a variation of what was served the night before - a lot of beef dishes in gravy or a curry and then not much else that looked remotely appetising. There was a bbq every single night cooking quail and thats it. Also, be warned, the bbq is set right at the top of communal steps and one small girl burned her hands on it and ended up in bandages. Its located in a very dangerous area! The food is catered immensely towards the Russian visitors, they even served stuffed intestines one night! My kids ate chips & cucumber most nights because there's literally nothing else for the kids. No pizzas, plain pasta, chicken nuggets etc. Unless you use the Ethno restaurant during the day when its all inclusive. They serve proper chicken goujons and burgers there during the day which is more palatable. They then charge for this at night time. The Mermaid bar is also chargeable after 10pm.
The waiters and bar staff are extremely helpful though and will go out of their way for you. All other staff (reception & cleaners) dont seem to care and are quite rude. Beware of the guy from the spa - he came over to our sun loungers one day and wouldn't take no for an answer. My daughter wanted her hair braided one day and we were taken over the road to Naama Bay hotel where his salon is and he wouldnt show me a price list until she was having her hair washed and then asked me for $135 for 2 braids! I did knock the price down, but still paid $60 for 2 braids that had fallen out by the next day!
Entertainment - The kids disco is the same every single night for 30 minutes. Even my youngest daughter got bored of it after day 3. The evening entertainment was good for 1 night of our 7 night stay. There was a fire show around the pool which was on for about an hour and that was the highlight. All went downhill after that! We had a walk down to the Naama Centre one night which was nice but extremely busy and the men from the shops are very pushy and the way they are around the children is very weird. Be warned! There are also small girls selling bracelets who give you abuse if you say no! DO NOT TOUCH THEIR BRACELETS IF YOU DONT WANT TO BUY BECAUSE THEY WILL TRY AND MAKE YOU PAY! thats no fault of the hotel though, just a bit of advice.
Going back to the abundance of Russian guests - they seem to be favoured and the children are left to their own devices. Kicking heavy leather footballs around the outside bar area around small children, even crawling babies and they do not care and the parents do nothing about it. The ball was kicked at my youngest daughter a few times, signs were broken because they were using them as a target to kick the ball at. Just no respect at all and nobody does anything about it.
Pools - the kids enjoyed the pools and slides but The lifeguards have different rules on different days and the constant whistling is still ringing in my ears now! One particular lifeguard seemed happy enough to let my girls do whatever they wanted if they were at the side of the pool he was sitting at, holding on to the pool wall while he held their hands for example, but if they weren't near him, he'd apprehend them. Very strange.
Overall - I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, especially with kids, and we certainly won't be visiting again. Its advertised as 5* - its a 3* at the very best and its put me off visiting Sharm ever again. For the money it costs, Hurghada is FAR better, cleaner and much more friendly. People pay the same, hard earned money regardless of where theyre from. Treatment of guests should be exactly the same and the cleanliness and service should be impeccable no matter what part of the world you're from.
