Taking the advice of our travel agent, we booked a second week's stay at the Savoy and it was the best. The hotel is impeccably clean, the service is superior and the variety of food offerings were delicious.
In the hotel, the staff catered to my children. Omar at the pool played with the my adult children pool games, the Tirana Restaurant manager and our servers were kind, gracious and treated us like family.
Beachside, all the service staff catered to our every need with kindness and courtesy. Our excursions through the hotel were timely, age appropriate, and we'll worth every penny. Omar at the pool made sure our chairs were ready and shaded. Bishoy and Hany at the pool bar brought out our drink orders before we even asked for them. The breakfast chef saw me walk in and prepared my eggs before I even made it to the omelette station.
I cannot write enough good things about this all-inclusive resort. It was the highlight of our vacation and we dreaded leaving.
A special shout-out to Rasha, Michael, Shenouda, Mina, and the entire Tirana staff. They took care of us like family. Their colleagues were equally spectacular.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after paying around 60,000 EGP for only 3 nights (room only, without meals or drinks), I feel obligated to share our experience.
Before arriving at Savoy, we stayed at two other resorts, including Sunrise Arabian Beach and Rixos Radamis, which was absolutely outstanding. Surprisingly, the price was almost the same, making the difference in quality even more shocking.
The hotel itself feels extremely outdated. The atmosphere is dark and gloomy, the decorations are old, there are many closed areas that make the property feel abandoned, and some of the statues and decor create a strange, uncomfortable impression rather than a luxury resort experience.
We booked two rooms, and both were among the worst hotel rooms we have ever seen. They were located in a poor area of the resort, looked extremely old, the walls were damaged and dirty, and both rooms had a terrible sewage smell. It was simply unacceptable for a hotel that markets itself as a luxury five-star resort.
When my mother went to reception to complain, instead of solving the problem, we were offered an “upgrade” for an additional 7,000 EGP (around $130). It honestly felt as though we were being pressured to pay even more just to receive a room that met basic five-star standards. After already paying such a high price, this was extremely disappointing.
The service at the beach was also poor. The beach staff frequently ignored us, and we often had to ask several times before receiving any assistance. At one point, we had to collect our own beach towels, while we clearly saw other guests arriving after us and receiving immediate service without even asking.
The next day, we had lunch at the pool restaurant. While the menu itself wasn’t the issue, the plates served to us were visibly dirty and still had food residue on them. Only after my father complained were they replaced. This should never happen in any hotel, especially one claiming to offer luxury hospitality.
What concerned us the most, however, was the feeling of safety. My sister and I felt extremely uncomfortable because several men around the beach continuously stared at us in a way that made us feel intimidated. My parents became genuinely anxious because of the situation, and instead of enjoying our vacation, we felt uneasy.
Our final night was the worst. At around 3:30 a.m., I woke up to extremely loud banging and slamming coming from the room next door. The walls were so poorly insulated that it sounded as if it was happening inside our room. I called Room Service once and received no answer. I called again, and they promised to send someone, but nobody ever came. The noise continued until nearly 6:00 a.m., leaving me frightened and unable to sleep.
This was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation. Instead, it became one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had.
For the amount we paid, we expected cleanliness, professional service, comfort, and safety. Unfortunately, Savoy failed to meet even basic expectations in several areas.
I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously because significant improvements are needed if the hotel wishes to justify its prices and reputation.
A wonderfully beautiful and enjoyable experience—peaceful, relaxing, and rejuvenating. It was a delightful honeymoon experience with service that went above and beyond. The staff were fantastic, starting with Mr. Mohamed Kamel at reception, who welcomed us with a wonderful smile and helped with everything; Jibril, who introduced us to the hotel and the local area; Ms. Rasha in the restaurant, who provided excellent service and a lovely demeanor during breakfast; and Omar, the wonderful and incredibly helpful lifeguard at the pool. All the hotel staff—friendly people, every single one of them. The room is beautiful and clean, and the view of the sea is wonderful. Complete quiet; there is no disturbance ever. The accommodation offers good value for money, the location is lovely, and all service are available nearby. Celebrating my birthday 🎂
The hotel was very clean. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Had a very relaxing atmosphere.
Good value for money. Several a la carte restaurants which you could use more than once. Food was of a really good quality and lots of choice. The drinks were all in cans or bottles and were branded.
Soho Square is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. As part of the All Inclusive Package you had access to about 4 restaurants in Soho Square and several bars. Some restaurants you did have to pay but you got a great discount.
Amazinggg the pools are clean specially ayad was so helpful thanks savoy
