Returned to the Diwane after a while away and found many changes all for the good.
They have managed to maintain their usual high standard of cleanliness and the staff are as pleasant and helpful as they always were. In fact it is the staff that make this the hotel it is.
I opted for one of the renovated rooms which was wonderful.
The poolside bar seems very popular.
I can recommend this hotel with complete confidence.
What a credit the staff are to the smooth running of the Diwane hotel!!!!! in every department. Always a lovely warm welcome, friendly, polite, proffesional staff willing to go that extra mile to make your holiday special. especially the pool attendant with the towels and brollies!!!!! Breakfast great from continental to cooked everything you need. Emaculately clean!!!!!! We would love to return to the hotel in the future and highly recommend it to friends and family Thanks ade sue Morris
I will start from the good ones:
-good location And this is it I’m afraid
Hotel also very noisy - located to very busy street, music is played until 10-11pm and some of the rooms are being refurbished. Opposite the road also new hotel is being constructed what makes another noises You are not allowed to bring your own drinks to the swimming pool not even water. Small Variety of drinks and food same regarding to quality of food. Inside hotel you are able to buy all activities however they way more expensive than everywhere else- way more Hotel bar and restaurant very expensive too comparing to other places and quality of food. Lovely Lebanese 🇱🇾 restaurant opposite the road if your hungry, also very cheap! Over all big chaos I would say looks like typical for this town.
Pros:
Cons:
It’s definitely not a 4 star hotel, maybe it used to be 20 years ago. Sadly I would not recommend booking it however if you already have some not expect much.
The Diwane hotel has great friendly staff. We paid to upgrade standard room on arrival and was worth it. However the service lift at the back wall of the room was noisy so on request of alternative room we were given a junior suite which was even better. Breakfast was good and varied and spa was excellent. Hotel was having rooftop building work during day which is noisy but didn’t detract from us having a good stay
