Jawad on the entertainment was great and hilarious. Does the best massage and neck crack. We will 100000% return cannot fault anything in the slightest
Very good experience, hotel was nice with multiple pools, service was great and entertainment team was great. One member - Hamza was friendly and kind to us and welcomed us.
very good atmosphere, entertainers was great especially HAMZA, very good food.
On arrival we were made to feel very relaxed and our room was lovely-always very clean-maids so friendly. Beautiful setting, lovely vibe of an evening ...aqua fit available everyday and a gym with short walk away. The view in the morning of hot air balloons with the sun rise and the evening towards the atlas mountains is just stunning. Fresh juice bar is a lovely touch! Staff always willing to help, animation team really work hard and are very friendly especially Jawad, Hamza. Especially the lady Nawar making coffee...Kalid in the restaurant. Use get your guide for trips and uber for taxi though be aware they estimate the fair then charge more at the end everytime. Lovely holiday in Morocco 🇲🇦
We returned a week ago from our 10-night stay at Hotel Du Golf, and it was one of our favourite holidays to date. This was our first experience at an adults-only hotel and it certainly won't be our last!
Pros
Food & Dining We loved trying all the different Moroccan dishes on offer. In our opinion, there was plenty of choice throughout our stay. If you're not particularly adventurous with food, you might find the options a little more challenging, but there were always familiar choices available such as pizza, chips and pasta every day.
Rooms Our room was large, spacious and very clean, with plenty of storage space. The fridge was especially useful for keeping bottled water cold during the hot weather.
Staff & Customer Service The cleaning staff, reception team and hotel transfer drivers were all excellent. Customer service throughout the hotel was top-notch. A special mention goes to Hamza from the animation team, who was genuinely friendly, down-to-earth and incredibly hardworking.
Cleanliness The hotel was exceptionally clean. There were always staff members carrying out maintenance and keeping the grounds looking tidy and well-presented.
Entertainment The foam party and karaoke nights were by far our favourite evening events. We had so much fun, made some fantastic memories and met some lovely people. The DJ also did a great job creating a fun atmosphere at the foam party.
Pool Area The pool staff and lifeguards were fantastic. If you were struggling to find two sun loungers together, they would happily help. They would also provide umbrellas, inflate pool floats and generally make sure guests were comfortable. They were attentive, hardworking and genuinely lovely people.
Cons
Animation Team One member of the animation team, identifiable by his afro hairstyle, appeared to focus his attention on certain guests more than others. At times, his behaviour came across as unprofessional and somewhat inappropriate, including pulling young female guests into the pool and being overly flirtatious in the evenings. This did not reflect the standard of service you would expect from a five-star hotel. As mentioned Hamza and other members of the team were great. In addition, the schedule displayed in reception for entertainment every day wasn’t accurate. This meant we were not always clear what activities we could do or not.
Football Team Staying at the Hotel Unfortunately, during our stay a Moroccan football team was also staying at the hotel. A section of the restaurant was reserved exclusively for them, which made finding seating at busy meal times more difficult. They also had a private chef, meaning part of the restaurant was unavailable to other guests.
Drinks & Bar Service The pool bar was often very busy, resulting in long queues for drinks. While some bar staff were excellent, others seemed less enthusiastic. It was clear they worked long hours, but this sometimes impacted the level of service received. There were also occasional issues with wasps around the pool bar, something we noticed had been mentioned in other reviews. Some days this seemed to be managed better than others, although it didn't significantly affect our holiday. The biggest issue for us was the inconsistency of the cocktails. Even when ordering the same drink from the same bartender, it could taste completely different half an hour later. Improved training and better consistency in drink preparation would make a noticeable difference.
Water polo My partner and I loved the water polo! However, some ground rules at the start of the match would have helped keep the game fair and safe. When drinks are flowing and there’s some competitive spirits, you can see how it could easily go from a good time to a bad time! Also the pool floor left people with small cuts that pulled skin off their feet.
Helpful Tips Book excursions through GetYourGuide rather than the representatives in the hotel. We found the same trips significantly cheaper. Use Uber for taxis whenever possible. We found it cheaper, easier, and more reliable than the local yellow taxis.
We withdrew cash from an airport ATM and weren't charged a fee. There is also an ATM in the hotel, although we didn't use it so cannot comment on any charges.
We visited both the Italian and Mediterranean restaurants included with our stay. Both were enjoyable, but the Italian restaurant was by far our favourite. If you're only able to secure one reservation, we'd definitely recommend booking the Italian.
Overall Despite a few negatives, we had an amazing holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The excellent staff, clean facilities, great entertainment and relaxing adults-only atmosphere made for a fantastic experience. We would definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Du Golf to others.
