This hotel is situated in the heart of Marrakech, and in the immediate vicinity of the Jemaa el-Fna Square which abounds with souks, restaurants, food stalls and cafes. Places of interest and landmarks are plentiful such as the El Badi Palace, Ourika Valley and the Jardin Majorelle. Visitors can also enjoy a relaxing drive in the local caleche, horse drawn carriages. Facilities include two outdoor pools, one is heated in winter, clay tennis court and a spa offering a variety of massages, treatments and therapies. There are three restaurants including one serving Indian food and two bars, one in the lobby and one by the pool. .The rooms are all spacious and attractively furnished in a contemporary style with Arabic details. They have balconies or terraces with pool or garden views, air-conditioning and satellite television. Some have whirlpool baths.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Fantastic hotel , food and staff ,big call out to Mohammed Kareem & Hassan and to be fair, although I didn’t get a lot of a lot of the other staff names, they were all really really attentive friendly, knowledgeable about the area when you needed info !so next to airport fantastic food lovely gardens and two pools what’s not to like and that big light in the sky was bloody warm 42 at times , be back shortly without a doubt ! Big boss man ( as they liked to call me )
I absolutely loved this place my first time in Morocco, well organised at reception. Plenty of choice in the restaurants and the food was lovely. It was just a so relaxing holiday for me, the staff could not do enough to help and look after you. Special mention to the bar staff they were amazing day and especially on a night. I will definitely be going back to this place.
A typical TUI hotel, where nothing is too much trouble, and the amenities and staff are welcoming and friendly.
The arrivals are sensibly organised. Refreshments and snacks are offered. You're brought forward to reception for checking in, so there's no queuing or shoving. Bags are taken to your room before you arrive, so no staff expecting tips (actually no one expects tips all holiday), all very civilised.
It's not the biggest hotel in TUI's inventory, but it certainly has a friendly family feel about it. The staff are ridiculously kind and courteous. It's embarrassing sometimes how much they're willing to do to make your stay perfect.
The Hotel General Manger introduced himself to us on our first day, and every time I saw him after that, he would greet me warmly and ask how our holiday was.
No queuing at the bars, and they'll always offer to bring the drinks over every time, even to your sun lounger when by the quiet pool outside.
Food - I loved the food, yes it could be classed as samey, but there's so much choice, I would be surprised if you could eat a quarter of the offerings in a week.
Huge amounts of salads and soups to start. Tagines (x4) every lunch and dinner. Grilled fish, kebabs and steak/chops. Various rice & cous dishes as sides, and the most amazing selection of flans, cakes and mousses. Lunchtimes have wraps, pizza and snacky food.
Surprisingly, there's bacon every morning for breakfast, and at least once a week there's a roast pork for dinner . There's ham on offer in some of the salads if required.
Lots of vegetarian & vegan choices. Not so many for those with gluten intolerances.
Every meal there's pasta (oddly very popular even when holidaying in Morocco), chips and lots of steams veg, in various concoctions and varieties. The vast majority is cooked fresh and brought out in small quantities, so sometimes there's nothing there and you have to pop back to see if some is available (It's not a criticism, but a reality. Better to half smaller hotter & fresher portions that it being sat there getting cold).
Endless wine and beer delivered to your table by the attentive staff. Tables cleaned quickly and finished pates removed accordingly. Mint Tea, coffee available at all meals. Bottled water is always served up, irrespective of what your drinking.
The rooms are nice, but ours had a lack-lustre shower pressure. A rain shower and hand-held for your bits. The towels looked new and were plentiful and felt luxurious.
A safe, mini-bar which is topped by with water by the staff daily (usually 2x2ltrs per day). Beds were comfortable and a multitude of pillows. We had a city facing view to the north (4th floor) rather than the southern pool/Medina view. The only sounds you hear each morning, considering our location as dead in the city centre is birdsong. Marrakesh is surprisingly green and the views across to the Medium Atlas mountains was lovely.
Our only (major) criticism was the room temperature when the AC was on. For the first few days it never dropped below 24c, which given it was 43c outside, didn't give us any respite from the heat. We raised this with the TUI Rep (The lovely Zee), and it was lowered to 21º. Over the following two weeks it did get down to around 17c which was bearable.
The 'garden' element of the hotel were exactly that, a luscious and green lawned garden.
It you didn't want to sit by a pool, then settle yourself under a Pomegranate tree for shade. Sunbed grabbing as never really an issue, unless you wanted to be by the main pool, where the music and entertainment happened.
There is some traffic noise down the lower end of the gardens, but it's nothing to bother you with, we are in a city after all. You don't even hear the call to prayer that is broadcast several times a day.
A basic but very usable gym building. Nothing special, but plenty to keep you ticking over if you so wish (I did). Bikes, treadmills, free-weights, bench press and cable machines aplenty. AC could be a bit lower, but to be honest the gym was mostly empty, so I get the decision.
You are literally a 5 minute walk to the Medina and the main ja'marr el fnaa Square, so the location couldn't be any more ideal. Very safe for everyone. Don't listen to the talk of covering up for women and other 'cultural sensitivities' we always felt utterly safe and sure when walking about the city.
Only 20 minutes from the airport too.
If you're looking for a quality and luxurious adults holiday at reasonable prices, then you cannot going wrong by booking here.
It's warm friendly Maroc hospitality at average Mediterranean prices
Beautiful hotel, really good drinks and friendly staff. Karim makes a very mean espresso martini and is so lovely. Only one outdoes him and that is the man, the myth, the legend that is Imad with his cute white hat and excellent pool side service.
Lovely hotel. Walking distance from the square and souks, but a calm, safe and relaxing oasis in a beautiful walled garden environment. Great entertainment, especially in the daytime. Lovely good. But most of all the staff! They work tirelessly to give you the best experience. Especial mention to Karim, Mohamid, Foued….who obviously love their job! We will be back and we highly recommend x
