Amazing

Just got back from an amazing 2 week stay at the kenzie hotel, first time we have been to Morocco and I can’t fault the hotel or staff rooms were cleaned everyday and hotel is spotless.

The staff are all friendly and will do anything they can for you that’s pool staff bar staff and general staff working around the hotel.

A special mention to the entertainment team who were amazing and always getting everyone involved with the activities going on each day but a big thank you to YOYO, BENJI, YAZ, AMWAR and MOOSE who made our holiday and always come to make sure we were ok that place wouldn’t be the same with out yous and we will all miss yous got to say one of the best nights is the white party night.

The food is repetitive but I don’t k ow what people expect for an all inclusive there was always something there you could have and snack bar always had burgers hot dogs chips and wraps.

Will definitely return

August 2026 family

Location was ok, it’s very cloudy and misty in August in Agadir but travel 30minutes either direction pure sunshine, we didn’t use the beach much, rooms was okay, air-con only seem to hit one section of the room but we didn’t actually need it. bathroom/ showers were very spacious, but our bathroom door was squeaky and the toilet leaked upon asking them to come look they never did Unfornately.

Fridge we got one bottle of small water and two little milks.

balcony okay no drying facilities I.e some hotels provide a small rack but that wasn’t you got two chairs and small table, our balcony door couldn’t lock and no light working on the balcony.

Cleaner well it took 7days for our room to actually be cleaned, they only ever left two towels for three people again constantly having to ask for a third towel if I had known would’ve brought my own.

Food well I’m aware it’s all inclusive but they wasn’t much of a choice and for 10days we actually struggled to get food in the main restaurant, snack bar was actually better. I did like the fact they gave you bottled water.

Entertainment okay.. the area for entertainment was quite small.

Whatever you do DONT pay for late checkout as we did and was only given till 3pm that day for a late checkout £50 upon asking we was told it was because cleaners finish at 6pm.

Noise level was okay if you’re tired you’ll sleep I guess but you will hear a consent whistle and that’s from the police on the road 😆 for the cars etc.

Sunbeds all gone by 7am due to people putting towels out at midnight 😆🙈 or paying the pool guys for the same loungers 🙈 extremely cramped around the pools. Could do with it being bigger.

I could go on but this is all my opinion could be different for you.

The animation team make this hotel

The Animation team and the staff throughout the hotel make this hotel. They are by far the friendliest and most accommodating team I have ever experienced. The animation team take the time to talk to everyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. They try to involve everyone but are not pushy when you don’t want to get involved. A big shout out to Ben, Anwar, Yo Yo who got us involved in everything from the start. Also a shout out to Mouss and Yassin who were also fantastic and the female staff (whose names I didn’t catch). The bar staff are also amazing. I would like to give a special mention to Jamal, who took the the time to chat to us and talk to us about Agadir and the Moroccan culture.

The entertainment in the evening was not to everyone’s taste. But if you are up for a bit of fun and like to get involved, this is the hotel for you. It was high energy every night, thanks to the great team.

The food was good quality but there wasn’t lots of choice. We ate out a few nights which was fine because the food is so cheap outside the hotel.

Outside the hotel, the private beach area is nice. There are a number of nice restaurants nearby but no bars as such, which didn’t bother us as we enjoyed drinking at the hotel.

We did the Quad bike and sunset BBQ experience, that I would strongly recommend. We also loved the Madina and we enjoyed our walk to the marina (although there is not much there).

Overall, this is definitely not a luxury hotel if that is what you are for. But if you are looking for a fun time with lovely staff, nice food and a lovely atmosphere it is well worth the money. We are considering returning next year as we had the best time.

Some good. Most not so good

Some Good Points, But Ultimately Disappointing

I wanted to give an honest and balanced review of our stay. Unfortunately, this was my least favourite holiday of the past five years. Some of that was undoubtedly down to factors outside the hotel's control, particularly the weather, but there were also several aspects of the hotel itself that I found disappointing.

Food

The food was probably the biggest disappointment. There simply wasn't enough choice, and the quality wasn't particularly impressive either. In fact, we ate at McDonald's twice during our holiday, which I think speaks volumes when you're staying all-inclusive.

One relatively simple improvement would be to introduce themed evenings. I've experienced this at three of my previous all-inclusive holidays and it makes a big difference, providing some variety rather than feeling like you're eating broadly the same type of food every day.

Drinks

The beer was another disappointment. It was advertised as being 4.7%, but I honestly wouldn't have believed it was anywhere near that strength. At times, I genuinely wondered whether it was even alcoholic.

I eventually stuck to vodka and Coke because, at least with that, you could actually tell you were drinking something alcoholic. The cocktails weren't bad, to be fair, but if you're a beer drinker looking for an actual alcoholic beer, I'd give the hotel offering a miss.

Facilities – Particularly the Pool

The pool is probably the most important facility for many people choosing a holiday like this, particularly families, and unfortunately I found it too small.

The area immediately surrounding the pool is also packed with sunbeds, which makes simply getting around the pool a frustrating experience. It feels very cramped when there are a lot of people using it.

The temperature was another issue. I found the pool quite cold on more than one occasion, which certainly didn't encourage me to spend much time in it.

I was also concerned by how murky the water became. The pool isn't particularly deep, around 1.2–1.4 metres, yet on some days you couldn't even see the bottom. The water did seem to clear after a few days, so perhaps this was a filtration issue, but it wasn't particularly reassuring while it was happening.

We also had repeated problems with our room door. On several occasions we returned to find the door flashing and beeping when we tried to enter, effectively locking us out. We had to return to reception to get assistance.

On one occasion, after returning from a morning trip, we were assured that the problem had been fixed. It hadn't. The issue continued to happen randomly several more times during the remainder of our stay. Eventually we discovered that the flashing and beeping would stop by itself, so after the third occurrence we simply ignored it.

Staff

The staff are one area where I really can't fault the hotel.

They were friendly, polite and always willing to help. If I had to make one comparison, I'd say they weren't quite as attentive as the staff at a previous holiday we had in Tunisia, although tipping was much more commonplace there, which may well explain the difference.

Overall, though, the staff here were good and certainly weren't responsible for the disappointing aspects of our stay.

The Weather

Obviously, I can't blame the hotel for the weather, but it would be impossible to review the holiday without mentioning it because it had such a significant impact on our experience.

This was by far the worst weather I've experienced on any holiday. Ever.

It was cloudy on most days, temperatures weren't particularly warm and the whole holiday felt quite dull as a result. Combined with the cold pool, there were days when it simply wasn't very pleasant being outside.

This was particularly disappointing with our nine-year-old daughter. Normally, she gets incredibly excited about getting into the pool as soon as she wakes up. During this holiday, we saw that excitement on perhaps two occasions during the first couple of days. After that, she simply wasn't bothered about going in.

Obviously, that's not something the hotel can control, but it definitely affected our overall enjoyment of the holiday.

Outside the Hotel

This may partly be down to my own naivety, but I expected there to be more family-friendly bars and places to go outside the hotel.

I appreciate that Morocco is a Muslim country, but having previously visited Turkey, I expected there to be more bars and places that would be comfortable for families with children.

Unfortunately, many of the bars we saw in Agadir looked quite seedy and unappealing. To give you an idea, imagine a slightly run-down, backstreet Russian-owned bar in an American city — that's roughly the impression I got from some of them.

That obviously isn't the hotel's fault, but it's something I'd consider if you're looking for a destination with plenty of family-friendly nightlife immediately outside the resort.

Excursions

We did the 4x4 excursion into the mountains, including a traditional Moroccan breakfast in a Berber/Amazigh house. That was a genuinely good experience, and it was noticeably warmer up in the mountains too.

We also visited the Medina, which, although modern, was still impressive to walk around.

I wasn't particularly impressed with the Souk, although my wife loved it. Personally, I found it to be largely cheap souvenirs and similar products repeated over and over, with very little variation between stalls.

I'd also expected there to be lots of places to eat within the Souk, but that wasn't really the case. Again, my wife enjoyed the experience considerably more than I did, so this is very much a matter of personal taste.

Overall

Overall, this was my least favourite holiday of the past five years. This includes Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Turkey and Tunisia.

I do want to be fair, though. Not all of that can be attributed to the hotel. The poor weather had a major impact on our enjoyment, and our expectations of Agadir outside the hotel were probably partly based on our previous experiences elsewhere.

However, I do think the hotel could have made a significant difference. Better food and more variety, a better pool area, warmer and clearer pool water, and resolving the repeated problems with our room door would all have improved the experience considerably.

The staff were good, the excursions gave us some memorable experiences and there were certainly positives. Unfortunately, there just weren't enough of them to outweigh the negatives for us.

Would I return? No.

Even if I were offered a significant discount, I don't think I'd choose this hotel again. That's a shame because with some relatively straightforward improvements, I think the overall experience could be considerably better.
