Situated on 19 acres of Antigua's most spectacular and celebrated beach, Dickenson Bay, the hotel is just 15 minutes from Antigua's V.C. Bird International Airport.
This city hotel comprises a total of 193 rooms on 2 floors and facilities on offer include an entrance hall with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, 5 bars, a disco, a casino, a games room, a TV room, a restaurant, conference facilities and public Internet access. For an additional fee guests can make use of the room and laundry services, and there is parking available for those arriving by car.
Accommodation is offered in nine categories at the Caribbean Village. All rooms include air conditioning, a four-poster king-size mahogany bed, a ceiling fan, an amenity kit, a hairdryer, a telephone, an en suite bathroom with bathtub and shower, a safe, a CD clock radio, an iron and ironing board, cable TV, a coffee and tea maker and mini-fridge, restocked daily. A balcony or terrace also comes as standard.

Rude staff and bad service.
This was our first time in Antigua, and we chose Sandals based on the ratings and reviews. Unfortunately, the service has been extremely disappointing. We’ve dealt with several servers and staff members who were rude, dismissive, and seemed bothered by even simple questions.
It honestly feels like because most employees don’t work for tips, there’s very little motivation to go above and beyond or even provide the friendly accommodating service you’d expect from a resort at this price point.
Antigua is beautiful, but based on our experience with the staff and service, I would not recommend Sandals Antigua and definitely would not return. I recommended the place to family members after my first day of being here thinking it was great but I’m definitely going to have them cancel it now. They are supposed to be coming in 2 weeks but I wouldn’t want them going through what we dealt with where you feel like you’re in an all around self-serve resort with rude staff members that have lack of training.
Just Magical...
This is our second time to the beautiful sandals resort in Antigua. We came last year and loved it so much we couldn’t wait to return! We were not disappointed, the whole trip from start to finish was absolutely amazing! We celebrated my mums birthday there this year and chose to eat at Elenors restaurant, they made it so special for her, with balloons, champagne, a sparkler cake, a card, with a beautiful table on the beach, thank you for going above and beyond! All the staff are amazing, and many remembered us from last year, a special mention to the whole Entertianment team, Adam and his team are an absolute credit to this hotel, the water show was particularly impressive, and when they learnt I worked as a singer they let me be part of their show, a memorable experience I will never forget. Special mention to Joy who’s recently been promoted to supervisor, she still came to visit us when she learnt we were on resort. Devon in the barefoot restaurant, which had outstanding food, and what a brilliant manager, Stacey at the buffet restaurant, and all the staff were just amazing! We can’t forget our amazing DJ john in the pub, always a fabulous evening! We did the snorkelling tour through the hotel this time and I would highly recommend it, the guys on the boat were so much fun, and helped me with my jellyfish fear 😅 We look forward to coming to sandals Antigua every year and we already can’t wait to return next August. The memories you provide us as a family are those of which I will treasure forever. Thank you for always making our trip so special, and for taking special care of my mum. We look forward to seeing you next time
Another (mostly) Great Sandals Vacation
Our second visit to Sandals Antigua. Overall, was a wonderful experience. If we had never been to Sandals before, I would have given a 5. The beach is amazing and the restaurant and bar staff were almost always prompt and happy. But Sandals seems to be cutting back some of the little things they used to do; passport holders the origami towels and flower pedals were a nice little touch that separated Sandals from the rest. Not anymore and that is a shame. The concierge experience was confusing. Without getting into too much detail, we were given incorrect information on multiple occasions which led to frustration and confusion. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience. Barefoot jerk chicken is amazing, same with the mahi. Kimonos was very enjoyable and the sushi was enjoyed by all. We did one tour to Stingray city and it would have been a great trip if only 1/3 of the people went. Trying to get 40+ people in 4 feet of water to get in a single file line to feed the rays does not run smoothly.
The onsite entertainment was very good. The fire show was memorable.
Overall a wonderful vacation, plenty of sun, plenty of room on the beach and most importantly plenty of rum punch.
Not recommended
Good: grounds and beach are beautiful and impeccably maintained. Rooms are clean but pedestrian. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Bad: food, food, food. Limited selections, bland to inedible. Really poor value for the money. If fine dining is important to you on vacation you’ll be deeply disappointed.
Amazing vacation
Entertainment staff were amazing as well as all the other staff. Customer service is definitely a priority here and it shows. Food was fabulous. Would definitely return.
