Wonderful relaxing family holiday

Review by LJB991 London, United Kingdom

Finally getting around to writing a review - we had a wonderful 12 days at Carlisle Bay for October half term. The hotel is perfectly set up for children, especially if you say in a beach villa room. The doors open onto the beach, with calm seas in the bay, and turtles that you can often see pop up whilst having breakfast...

With food available pretty much all day with the all inclusive package, it makes it very easy with young children. This was our second visit, having previously gone in October 2020 and there was a vast improvement this year. The communication with the staff, service and quality of food and drink was much improved. There is still the relaxed 'Caribbean vibe' but that is what we go on holiday for! The kids clubs were great too, on day 1 our children were out on the speedboat turtle spotting. Magical! Blue seas, blue skies, relaaxed and happy children and therefore parents - perfect We will definitely back, thank you Carlisle Bay for wonderful memories!

Idyllic location and superb hotel

Review by scottmcgarry Newtown Linford, United Kingdom

We had a fantastic stay and met some fascinating people. The Resort has a lovely laid back feel, in a peaceful and very private location, being the only Hotel in a breathtaking Cove. The service is professional, friendly and attentive in all areas. The rooms are spacious and well designed with nice balconies many with sea views. There are 4 restaurants to chose from and we liked them all with Indigo our favourite. The sunbeds were plentiful and comfortable during our stay and cooler cases were provided with lots of water bottles We did have one issue which was dealt with by the resort Manager to our total satisfaction and we very much appreciated A perfect Hotel for a relaxed Caribbean style holiday with excellent facilities and services

We were married in Carlisle Bay and stayed on for the honeymoon. In all we stayed for two weeks. Location is idyllic but somewhat isolated if you want to explore the island. The beach is secluded and beautiful with no other hotels nearby...

Food is very good for an all inclusive deal. However, full supplement pricing for certain items is way to expensive! The All Inclusive package is a must as individual pricing for items is eye watering.

Bartenders know their stuff and Jason in Indigo certainly knew how to make amazing cocktails. All part of the All inclusive package!!

Majority of staff are friendly, attentive and efficient.

Welcome reception could be improved by offering a cool drink after a long flight and bumpy car journey to the hotel. Faffing around doing paperwork in humid hot temperature was rather frustrating.

Wedding went without a hitch and Jodie the hotel wedding planner took care of all of the details without any significant dramas.

Any little niggles were sorted straight away!

I would highly recommend as we will be going back next year.

Great location but 3 star at best

Review by kevinmagoo Mexico City, Mexico

Nice but definitely not 5 star, closer to 3 star. Checked in today and disappointed that the room feels so dated. Went to the beach and had to find the hut with towels and covers for the loungers ourselves because there was nobody to help...

2 hours have gone by and nobody has even offered us a bottle of water and service is non existent. Regretting we moved from the proper 5 star hotel next door that has beautiful rooms and excellent service.

Never Forget Carlisle Bay

Review by Y2557FQmelissam Charleston, South Carolina

We did not imagine planning a wedding during a global pandemic. However, I could not have envisioned a more perfect wedding week for our daughter’s wedding.

Carlisle Bay is a gem. Walking over the Koi pond bridge we were suddenly transcended into a blissful paradise...

You might be greeted by Mindy, Joanne, Tony, Cecil, or one of the many friendly faces of the reception staff. Before allowing us to settle into our “beach at our feet” suite, the staff ensured all of our requests were met beyond expectation.

The morning views amazed us, but the food fed our souls. Michael and Myrlean ensured the day started with a beautiful breakfast and Len delivered a friendly smile every day. There was no better way to start the day than at Indigo.

If it was pizza we craved, we ventured over to Ottimo for the Simone special. Everyday we were drawn back to the pizza bar to spend time with Tracy and Simone. And everyday we enjoyed even more. PUT the SIMNOE pizza on the menu!

But don’t forget the Jetty! Katelyn and her crew made sure our rehearsal toasts were magical! The curry, the ribs, the bread pudding….the list goes on.

And thank you ROOM SERVICE Team…for the afternoon tea and room service. Thank you Patrick!

Before our guests arrived we were privileged enough to spend the day with Marvin and Prince. We had no idea how special this would be. The tour of the island was lovely, but the company was better. Eighteen years strong…. the activities team is so fantastic!

When the time came to pack our bags and for Winston to deliver them to our car service, it was really difficult to leave this enchanting slice of heaven. It was the perfect balance of beauty, flavor, and spirit and it felt like we were leaving family.

And to Jodie, from the last minute palms to the fire dancers, and everything in between. There are no words that can grant you the praise you deserve. Without you, this week, this experience, this gift could not possible. We cannot thank you enough for your dedication and genuine devotion to making this week unforgettable.

Thank you Carlisle Bay, from the grounds staff to the general management, we will cherish these memories of the time spent on your island.

We will be back and we will make more memories with you with your staff.
