We stayed as a family of 4 in a 2 bed apartment for 4 nights. The apartments are fab, really spacious and with a very well equipped kitchen. We had problems with the AC in one bedroom and the dishwasher when we first arrived but Nicole and team were instantly on the case getting it sorted...
Housekeeping from Denise was lovely - she always checked with us to see we had everything we needed. Great pool/beach towels are provided - you’re only minutes walk from gorgeous Mullins beach where you can snorkel right off the beach. There’s a wonderful little drinks and snack bar called Adrian’s sunset bar. Watch out for the lethal rum punch. We had such a lovely peaceful stay at Mullins Grove we’d definitely go back and recommend it! But our biggest thanks has got to be to Nicole for chasing up our departure PCR tests when they didn’t come back as quickly as we’d hoped! We were still waiting the morning of our flight. Thanks again Nicole, Denise & rest of the team for making it a wonderful place to stay in Barbados
Small development of modern 1,2,3 bedroom apartments. Not the easiest location to find in the dark, after a long flight, even with the help of google maps. The sign at the top of a pole is high up and black so in the dark its harder to see. We had a 3 bed apartment but as there were only two of us, two bedrooms were locked, which made the assumption we were happy to sleep together, which we were. On arrival we received a complimentary pack of tea, coffee, bread, butter, cornflakes, milk etc which was a great touch. The apartment is modern, minimalistic, well equipped including washing machine & drier, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, large fridge freezer etc. Living area was open plan, very good size with table & chairs for 6, sofa and armchair with tv. We loved the balcony with patio doors that open right up. Bedroom which is a good size with a super king bed, double wardrobe and plenty of shelving, tv, was en suite with a separate second wc. Room serviced 3 times per week with clean bedding, towels etc. Loved feeding the birds each morning but kept back from troop of monkeys that come past every so often. Pool area is fine for relaxing in peace and quiet. There is a bar but didnt see anyone use it the whole time we were there. Well equipped gym that we made use of with treadmill, bike, weights etc. 2 minutes walk to Mullins Beach which has everything needed to enjoy yourselves. No views from any apartments but very difficult to get everything. Apartments are individually owned but for first 5 years owners can only use for .12 weeks a year and the remaining time are available for rental Overall great experience that we would love to return to.
Fantastic location, modern apartment with all the amenities. Close to the beach. Amazing staff...
We will be back. Husband & I stayed here for 2 weeks it was a great base to explore the west coast. Pool was fab and even better when pool was open. Met some lovely people.
We are a family of four including 2 teenagers aged 15 and 17 and we stayed here for 3 nights before moving on to another location. The apartment was very spacious with a fab covered terrace. 2 bedrooms and air-conditioning throughout...
Clean and tidy with enough equipment for a family of four. Take advantage of the offer of a welcome pack of essentials as whilst there is a garage nearby it is pricey. Do use the yellow buses to go to Speightstown where there is a well stocked local supermarket called Jordans. In fact just use the buses, they are a fantastic experience and cost $3.5 wherever you go. The beach at Mullins is a 5 minute walk, I recommend using the West Moreland Beach Club where you can purchase a day pass and use the restaurant, loo, bar, loungers etc. Go to the beach at Speightstown as an alternative. The staff at Mullins Grove were very helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough. The pool was also a nice addition. Thank you everyone for making our visit such a great holiday, we hope to see you again.
Would ideally have given it 3.9 stars.
Having stayed 2 weeks at the awful King's Beach Village, we decided to extend our holiday and booked five nights here on a whim (about two hours before we were due to leave for our plane home).
The apartment is lovely, nicely decorated, very bright, gorgeous bed linen, comfy pillows, great air con, wifi worked very well.
We were in room 2, which apparently has a deck view, basically if you stand on the patio you can see the pool area (although this is not particularly appealing anyway). None of the rooms have a view, ours just faced the wall of the block opposite us (as they all do...
The rooms not advertised as deck view, have views of the garden (which is basically just a green space at the back of the hotel). Only room 1 had direct access to the pool.
On our first night there was a family above us and the noise of them walking overhead went on for hours, thankfully they left next day, so peace was restored. Because of this I would recommend a second floor room.
A few things need addressing, no curtains on the windows (large bi fold doors so very open to the public, it really needs blinds or something). The apartment though very lovely, has very little storage, the bedroom was tiny, just big enough for the bed really, with a fitted single wardrobe, no drawers, no dressing table etc. We had to just leave our suitcases on the floor, as there was nowhere to put them (we tried under the bed, but it wasn't possible).
The shower worked really well in the bathroom, though the shower screen is about 2" too narrow, which means that the water goes all over the floor, the sink is a nightmare too, not deep enough for purpose really. But to be honest I am being picky, but it does feel a bit style over substance.
Kitchen area was lovely, very nice fridge freezer, super clean.
Pool was very nice, loungers comfortable, but I doubt there will be enough once the hotel is full, probably about 12 spaces in all. The hotel has a pool bar, this was open most afternoons for a few hours, but very little used, the staff sit in there playing music very loudly (who wants that whilst sunbathing and relaxing). I asked the guy to turn it down, he shrugged and started playing something else, basically ignoring me, I couldn't hear my audio book (even with my new headphones turned up full), so in the end I had to just go to the beach.
It is a five minute stroll to Mullins Beach, but we preferred Gibbes beach, much nicer.
The sitting room and bedroom both have new t.v.'s but unless you pay extra for subscriptions, there is very little in the way of channels.
Should also mention there is very little parking, we saw spaces for about 6 cars, so if you can't get a space you will have to park on the road nearby.
I think this hotel has potential and we may return in the future.
