My husband and I are currently on a one week trip to Iberostar Rose Hall. Due to reorganization, we spent the first 3 days at the Iberostar Waves hotel. Last night (8/15) for our anniversary dinner, we ate at the onsite Italian Restaurant. Kimberly provided excellent and professional service and the meal was outstanding. Today, (16th) we had a couples massage at the Spa. Joantae and Kerene were our masseuse and they too were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. We are already looking forward to our next trip. We are now at our preferred location - Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites spending the remainder of our trip. An update will follow. Worst Hotel Ever
Very Disappointing Experience — Would Not Recommend
Unfortunately, our stay at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach was extremely disappointing, especially considering how much we paid. We came to celebrate my wife’s birthday and give my brother his first international trip, and I honestly wish I had chosen another resort.
We were assigned a concierge named Julie when we arrived. She brought us to our room and then disappeared. We never received a phone number for her, nobody seemed to know where she was when we needed help, and by day 7 we still hadn’t seen her. I had to arrange our dinner reservations, my wife’s spa treatment, birthday decorations, and everything else myself through Guest Services.
The overall service was disappointing. Several staff members had attitudes, and it often felt like guests were an inconvenience. Our room also had issues: the mini fridge didn’t work properly and stayed warm, and the shower wasn’t leveled correctly, causing dirty water to pool around our feet.
We also had a terrible experience with a shuttle driver named Jevin. He arrived early, rushed us while we were still checking out, and the people at the shop had to come outside and ask him to wait two minutes. On the way back, he was distracted by his phone while driving.
What bothered me most was the lack of care and concern I experienced from some of the staff. For the money we spent, I expected much better hospitality and attention to guests.
The positives were the room service and a few members of the entertainment team — Jaleel, Freshh, and KK — who were genuinely friendly and helped make the experience better.
Unfortunately, those positives weren’t enough to make up for the rest. My brother’s first international trip and my wife’s birthday should have been special memories, but instead I spent much of the vacation handling things myself.
I would not recommend this resort and would not return.
Lovely Resort and Location
We found the resort to be perfect for our family of four and grandmother. The pools are lovely and easy to access, the beach is in full view of the pool area and seas were relatively calm. The presence of lifeguards added to our sense of security with our young children. The accommodations were lovely and exactly what we needed after a busy day in the water. We loved the smaller footprint of this resort. All the restaurants we visited for dinner were excellent and the buffet was the perfect spot for breakfast and lunch. I’d rate the food overall as the best we’ve had at any all inclusive resort. Entertainment was enjoyable, although not as extravagant as many resorts, but it’s not really the reason we came to Jamaica. We were disappointed that we missed Michael Jackson during our stay, but the Magic Show was very good! Overall, we enjoyed our time here very much. Thank you for a lovely visit to your island.
Great Service Iberostar
All I can say is the bar staff are lit and especially Lloyd… he makes the best pina coladas and his customer service skills are 10/10. Manners and respect to the staff and Lloyd.
Graduation trip well worth it
We stayed here with our Grandson for his graduation and we had an amazing time . He was not ready to leave whenever it was time to leave the food is good , beach , foam party and the overall cleanliness and staff are amazing our bartender In the Lobby bar is amazing . Our favorite staff is Marcia from the club she is awesome and we are going to miss her and this place so much. We will definitely be back and for sure recommend to friends and family yeah mon!!.
