Loved it ! Very relaxing and peaceful

Review by Tim J Portsmouth, United Kingdom

We arrived after a drive down a very long bumpy driveway and we’re greeted by Lita who took great care of us , getting us a drink and checked in. We stayed in Awa a beautiful cottage with great views from the balcony. I loved early mornings sat in either the rocking chairs or on the hammock with a coffee and feeding the friendly birds...

Breakfast was always great with a lovely selection of fruit ,pastries and cooked fare. The birds do tend to pester you so there are little water pistols on the tables to deter the birds.! The walk down to the beach is down 166 steep steps but well worth the effort. The beach is lovely with plenty of loungers and shade and a very nice beach bar for drinks and lunch. The snorkelling at the far end of the beach was incredible and well worth the effort ! We loved that there was never any rush in the mornings and always plenty of loungers free at either the pool or the beach no matter what time you turned up.

We loved our room , always well serviced , the outside shower was great and the wildlife noises at night were brilliant - tree frogs apparently. The views from the terrace were incredible.

The food in the restaurant was very good with different menus each night. The wines and cocktails were great. Service was a bit hit and miss but you’re on holiday so there is no rush to be anywhere.

We loved the peace and tranquility at the resort , the wildlife and the flowers and our early morning walks along the beach. The water hammocks were fun and there are paddle boards and kayaks available too..

If you check out early and have a late flight you can use the spa to shower and change but be warned there is no hairdryer available. Reception said they couldn’t help me but fortunately Lita came to my wife’s aid and hunted one down for us so thank you for going the extra mile it was much appreciated !

We had a lovely relaxing time and would definitely return given the chance.

Great Trip, Relaxing and very Private except........

Review by Jacqueline B Mahwah, New Jersey

This was our second trip to Ti Kaye Resort, one in June 2016 and one in in in emberDecemberDecember 2021. I can see the place has been improved during the Covid Pandemic, including our pathway to the room ROJO,, as the wall was under construction during our first three days. I did not mind so much as the crew was friendly, and well the place must be maintained...

It was a little muddy at times and at the end of the construction, very dark to manoeuvre down the stairs as the light had not been installed yet making it hard to see.

Room: We chose a room with a plunge pool as we love the privacy. The bed was a bit squeaky and hard to get into as I am only 5ft 3. I used a pillow as a stepping stool, no biggie! Plenty of space for our clothes, nice layout except for the lack of plugs in the right spots for me to blow dry my hair. I had to drag the heavy desk chair and place it in front of the wall mirror balancing the dryer on my lap. It worked but a bit of inconveinance every night. The out door shower is great, plenty of room and heavenly, literally you could see the stars! Food: We did not choose the meal plan as we knew the continental breakfast is plenty. Tasty pastries, breads and french press coffee. If you ask for the one egg you will more then likely get two, scrambled, fried or however you desire. We usually ate lunch downstairs a the Beach Cafe. It has a limited menu but still delicious. The only thing I wished for a sandwich, maybe tuna, chicken salad or such. The dinner menu is the same each week ( we stayed for 10 days) soups, salads and usually the same "catch of the day" mahi mahi which was surprising considering how much fish are available. I had the vegan deep fried mushrooms which were not so great. There is a tasting menu one night consisting of a soup, salted cod, one large ravilo, meat and desert. The soup was tasty but tepid, the ravioli was bought as I was still finishing the soup. There should be another option on this night as my husband cannot eat fish. The service was great some nights and on others so, so. A bottle of wine can be quite costly every night especially when they run out of the lower end ones! So budget to spend a lot on the wine. A huge shout out to Haige, Aaron and all the lovely staff as they made our stay memorable. We missed the wine tasting as it was advertised on the 2 TV's in reception as being on a Friday and it was on a Thursday. We did have room service one night. Overall the food is okay, not 5 star but well presented. Entertainment was very good, a fantastic singer on a Friday and some other singers on other nights. We had a rather busy group who made our stay funny and fun!
Beach: All beaches in St. Lucia are public so anybody can come and use the beach and water. Ti Kaye will offer the publish the blus beach chairs for I think $10 each with a credit to the cafe downstairs. The public are not supposed to use the cabans or water trampolines ut look out when those catamarans pull in carrying hundreds of crusie hip guests! They rope up around the beach trees making it difficult to walk the beach or go snorkeling. They arrive almost every days and drop there ecargo of people like flies into the water. It is quite annoying and I am sure that is why the coral has been destroyed over the past 5 years. Ti Kaye is also adults only, that's why we come here for the peace and quiet. As one prior reviwere mentioned there was a family who were on the beach all day with a 4 and a 7 year old. They must have paid the $10 as they were using the blue beach chairs along with the water trampolines. Apart from the annoying beach drop offs I still had a great time, kayaking, snorkelling(we bring our own gear) and sunning on the beds.
Tips: I mean travel tips. Bring deet for the sandflies, lots of sunscreen and I always bring my binoculars. I also take kleenex paper hand towels and bath and body soap. Also, you really don't have to tip the staff as there is a 20% tax vat and another tax to cover all of that. Trips: We had taken a trip with Alex in 2016 and requested him again. He has his own motor boat and will take you to soufriere, to the Pitons and even all the way to Pigeon Island. I highly recommend the cafe on Pidgeon island. Overall we had a super, relaxing time, met lots of people and will certainly come back in the future. See all my photos.

Lovely, romantic and private resort

Review by jolag526 London, United Kingdom

We had a wonderful stay in Ti Kaye for our honeymoon. It’s a romantic setting, the beach is virtually private (there are some local vendors on the beach who sell things to visiting boat trips), and the snorkelling was nice.

I’d highly recommend the extra expense for a private plunge pool - we used ours every day in the late afternoons when the sandflies started bothering us on the beach...

We did not opt for any food packages and found this worked for us and we were financially better off (we did not have multiple courses and found the main portion sizes to be fine).

The staff were friendly, relaxed and approachable.

The trips are expensive, but we enjoyed them all. The spa was also lovely - I’d highly recommend a massage.

My suggestions for improvement would be quicker service in the restaurants, and I think the use of the snorkelling equipment should be free for guests.

We loved our time here and would stay again!

Authentic, beautiful, very relaxing

Review by 677tatsianag United Kingdom

My husband and I stayed here for a week in October and it was exactly what we wanted and even more. Very quiet and relaxing. I haven’t slept so well for a long time! I suffer from anxiety and poor sleep and this place literally cured it...

Cabins are very spacious and comfortable and have a distinct Caribbean vibe about them. I loved everything - the decor, the beds, the outdoor shower and especially the big patio with rocking chairs and a hammock. I think all of the cabins have a great view. Service was great. Everyone was really nice and friendly. The covid test experience at the end was perfect - you can do the test at the resort, no need to worry about anything (they book it for you). The SPA was amazing. I had one of the best massages ever. The style/decor of the spa is very classy and authentic, the view from the windows is stunning and it’s just an absolute pleasure to be there. The beach is beautiful and we really enjoyed swimming and spending time there in general. The food was good. One evening there was even a tasting menu which we really enjoyed. Almost every evening there was live music at the restaurant which is was great. The only downside is the remote location of the resort, so you can’t really go for dinner anywhere else or easily go somewhere in general.

Great snorkling, food and grounds!

Ti Kaye was everything we had hoped for and more! We opted into the all-inclusive dining option and really thankful we did. The food was clean, fresh and thoughtfully paired.

The grounds were breathtaking and the snorkling was incredible...

I would suggest that if you like to snorkel, bring your own gear as they charge $11 per day and the equipment isn't the best. As other guests have mentioned, the beach is public so you do need to share with catamarans that come from cruise ships but it's not a deal breaker.

The staff were really friendly and incredibly helpful if you want to book an excursion through them or even on your own. They all seemed happy to be working at Ti Kaye and it showed. Rene and Jovanney (definitely spelling that wrong, I'm so sorry) were at the top of the list!

We spent 10 days at the resort. We snorkeled 4 days, did a sunset cruise, wine tasting (amazing Sommelier on site), visited the spa and hiked Gros Titon. It was just enough time to get some good R&R but also enjoy what the island has to offer. It was very reasonably priced and would suggest this resort to anyone!
