Sorry to not give my usual 5 stars. The air con failure for the first few days was awful, truly awful, and it had a hugely adverse effect on my holiday. The $60 per night room credit did not really compensate...
I do not think a 5 star hotel should ever allow such a situation to occur.
Covid impact, I can live with although I do feel rather disappointed that I have come away paying more for quite a bit less in terms of what I would usually expect. The very restricted eating options at lunch and dinner were noticeable and a much reduced and lower quality Bodyguard team. I missed little things such as cheese and wine tasting, cooking with the chef and the 1 km swim. All of these things were available last October.
All that said, the food quality and service were excellent and the spa treatments were exceptional.
The new silent disco was amazing, we were all still talking about it 2 days later!
Yes, of course I will be back for the umpteenth time but, for the first time ever, this holiday did not meet expectations and that makes me sad bearing in the mind the inflated price I paid
Well what can I say after a year of this holiday being cancelled due to COVID lockdowns, we finally got to visit the beautiful island of St Lucia and this amazing hotel. For us this was not just a holiday but our wedding as well. Although we were originally booked to got to the Rendezvous, our reservation was changed to the BodyHoliday as our original choice hotel wouldn't have been open in time for our trip...
At first we did have reservations about this, however what can I say, the hotel and staff are amazing and our wedding day was everything we wanted and more. The food in Cariblu was great with a large selection, however we were disappointed with the Tao restaurant as we had heard good things but the food wasn't great.
Staff were very attentive both on the beach, restaurants and bars. We had fruit kebabs delivered to us on the beach some days and we also had tortilla chips once but it would have been nice to have these more regularly. Drinks were plentiful on the beach and the team were very good at replenishing our glasses when they were empty. Also towels were replaced regularly on the loungers which was great, especially when they became wet from being in the sea. A special mention for Tasha on the beach, Sandra our Wedding Planner and Skeeta in the bar and restaurant who always greeted us with a smiley face.
I would highly recommend the hotel and we will be back!
This is our third time at BodyHoliday St Lucia, and once again we were blown away by the amazing staff whose care and kindness really know no bounds. We have visited a number of islands in the Caribbean but without doubt the nicest people we have met are the St Lucians. To Brittany and Anna in Tao, Alex & Eugene our wine Gurus, Julianna, Travis and Jerry at Ital, Sabrina at the Deli, Kingsley and Davin in the clubhouse...the food, wine and service were sublime as always...you never disappoint! To Mindy and the boys from the BodyGuard crew, you exercised our bodies and brought us joy with your wit and unflagging energy. To Edwin, Tai Chi with you is THE ONLY way to start the day...anyone that arrives to his own music is a legend in my eyes! To the beautiful Donna at the Spa, who invariably sighs at the state of my skin and my lack of a 'nighttime routine', you always make me look and feel amazing (and determined to get a skincare nighttime regime!) And finally, to Yhasmine who is like a swan serenely gliding through the resort and making it all look effortless...please never be in any doubt that we know how hard you and your team work to ensure our wonderful and priceless memories are made.
THANK YOU ALL so much, once again you made us feel, welcome, cherished and desperate to return as soon as we can!
Liker many people I returned to The Body Holiday again, this was my 6th visit and this time I took my daughter for a belated 40th birthday treat. Travelling at this time i felt very safe with the protocols of BA and The Body Holiday had it spot on too, we always felt safe. Another great holiday from the treatments to the restaurants from the beach to your room everyone involved in looking after us did it with enthusiasm and care. This was my daughters first time but she is hooked! Eight nights just flies by but at the end of it we had met some lovely people, been pampered rotten and had a great break...
Well done everyone!
I went to Bodyholiday and absolutely loved it. Regarding some recent comments about the resort not being what is used to be…um hello… we have Covid now and the island has a curfew. I understood that certain thing have to be scaled back or even taken out because of regulation and staff/guest safety...
You can’t really compare anything now to anything pre-covid to be honest.
With that being said, I had the time of my life. This resort isn’t the type of adult resort with all day/night loud bars and staff pouring drinks down your throat. The staff honestly make you feel like you’re an honored guest in their own house leaving the guests feeling relaxed and taken care of. I’ve been to other luxury resorts with robotic politeness with no warmth- not here. I had the honor of meeting staff like Sue. I traveled alone and didn’t have much to eat before I arrived. The concierge upon knowing this, quickly took me to get food and Sue came over and calmly said not to worry she would take of me and she did the whole visit. Most staff will take the time to talk to you even remember your name and what you like - which is amazing for a solo traveler sometimes. The daily Massages were out of this world (and included). The classes were amazing (most included). I took several with their guest yoga instructor, Beena Patel, who was phenomenal (I really hope they get her back). They have so much activities that it sometimes feels like you’re never in your room (the activities are the best way to make new friends FYI), but nothing is mandatory. You can have a low key day by the beach reading a book or having drinks alone and feel the calm (again because no loud parting or kids running around). I had the opportunity to meet some incredible guests too. I have never met so many people I genuinely find interesting. I spent my birthday there and the staff and guests went out of their way to make it special (seriously crying as I type this lol). I made some great friends there and we are already planning to go back together and even visit each other’s countries. Highly recommend
