Cornaro Hotel is located in the heart of Split, in the „A“ zone of historical center protected by UNESCO. The excellent location of the hotel in the center of the city makes the hotel an ideal starting point for visiting historic sights and museums, attending various cultural and entertainment events or enjoying the rich gastronomic offer of the city. Our property is in the immediate vicinity of transportation network, 1.2 kilometers away from the nearest beach, 23.2 kilometers away from the airport and 1 kilometer away from the harbor. Our 142 rooms, 4 junior suites and 1 premium suite meet the highest standards in terms of facilities and design offering numerous features such as bathtub/shower equipped rooms, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, telephone, minibar, in-room electronic safe (accommodates laptop), flat screen satellite TV and in-room tablets which bring info on hotel services and local attractions. The reception is open 24/7. Upon request, baby cot and pet bed/bowls may be placed in the rooms. All public areas of the hotel are disability-friendly. Our guests can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and exceptional meals accompanied by top notch wines in our restaurants, Lounge Terrace, Roof Terrace Bar and Wine Bar. Hotel services include: Wellness & Fitness Center, services for cyclists, services for bikers, services for pets, transfer services, e-charging services, laundry services, souvenir shop, on-site/garage parking. All services are charged according to the applicable hotel rates. Beside these services, our hotel offers versatile conference and other venues which are complemented by discreet placement of the latest technology and provide plenty of natural daylight, which makes them a perfect setting for conferences, business meetings and various events. Our dedicated team meets all Your requirements, from technical equipment, exceptional meals, decor, entertainment and anything which makes sure Your goals are achieved.
This is an excellent hotel for a couple's city break. The location in the centre of the Old Town means you are close to all the key historical locations and walking tours. The seafront is a short walk away and the pick up for the day trip to Krka Waterfalls at the National Park was also very close.
The hotel itself is really stunning, and very well maintained. The breakfast options and service were excellent. I did not catch the blonde lady's name who served us most days but she was excellent. You also can eat outside in a beautiful location.
The (Superior) room was cleaned daily and was in a good condition. The roof bar is also excellent and gives an amazing view over the city. The food and drink is quite expensive but with a great service and good quality. Vegetarian options are available.
Reception are really helpful if you need towels to take with you if you are planning to go swimming on a day trip.
The only minor feedback we have is as follows:
We arrived too early to check in so spent a couple of hours having food and drink on the roof bar. We expected our luggage to be available in the room once we checked in however it still then took some time to arrive.
The air con controls in the room were extremely bright. We could not find a way to dim them. As they directly faced the bed this kept me awake a couple of times at night.
Getting more cream / milk for tea or coffee in the room did prove rather challenging when calling reception as they did not appear to understand what I was asking for, neither did the housekeeping when they asked if we needed anything. I don't understand why it was not restocked in the mini bar daily as per other hotels.
People with nut allergies need to be aware: the complimentary Bajadera chocolates are hazelnut and almond so I could not have them (although I understand they are a famous Croatian confectionary and my husband enjoyed them.) Also with the roof bar complimentary snacks - some of the bowls of crisps / rice cake type snacks had peanuts hiding at the bottom which meant I could not have them.
However, this is intended as feedback and in no way spoiled our enjoyment of the hotel and our holiday itself. We would recommend this hotel to other couples for a city break.
Just had a weeks holiday at this lovely Central Hotel, situated as my mobility needing a walking stick was easy to get about. Nice room, all the staff friendly and attentive with a special thanks to Jadranka for her help and advice at breakfast restaurant. Great hotel in a lovely city.
Convenient location. Large well equipped room and bathroom. Superb breakfast with wide choice. Our one dinner here was a buffet with huge choice of dishes. Helpful staff. Good, but not intrusive service. Highly recommended
Stunning hotel. Room was spacious and very clean. Huge by Europe standards! Check in was a breeze and they graciously stored our luggage all day when we arrived at 7am. Took care of adding an extra night at our request. (No hanging around and waiting, they just told us they would take care of it and they did.) Incredible rooftop bar and small pool with glass walls to overlook both the city and the harbour. Gym was well equipt. We also had massages that were incredible. I can not recommend this hotel and its staff enough.
The Cornaro Hotel in Split offers an absolutely fantastic experience, perfectly situated right in the heart of the center just behind the main square. Having such easy access to everything made exploring the city effortless. One of the absolute highlights was the beautiful rooftop pool, which features plenty of comfortable loungers and serves as the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the views. The breakfast was amazing and truly included everything you could possibly want to start your day. Additionally, the rooms were excellent, offering ample space to comfortably unpack and relax, including incredible closets that I swear were at least 10 feet tall. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Split!
