Sitting right on the beach in Lapad and surrounded by pine forests, this venue is the perfect destination for an unforgettable seaside holiday. Guests who want to explore Dubrovnik can use the local bus stop that is located just outside of the hotel, it offers services to the city centre at every 15 minutes. The airport is at 24 km from the property. The hotel offers luxurious rooms, equipped with convennient amenities for a pleasant stay. When the weather allows the outdoor swimming pool is the place where guests can work on healthy tan, while the relaxed garden is perfect for unwinding with a good book in hand. Guests can enjoy the tasty local and international cuisine of the onsite restaurant at its spacious terrace, overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

The hotel is one of about 6 hotels on the resort and all the facilities are shared. There is one breakfast area for the entire resort and it's rammed, with a pretty poor quality buffet.
The worst part of the hotel is that there aren't enough sunbeds and people go out to reserve them with towels in the morning. Any 5 star worth its salt would have pool/bed attendants stopping this practice happening and would also be around to take drinks orders...
Neither of these things happen here.
3 star at best.
Fresh hotel, everything is new and clean. ROOMS: spacious, light and very comfortable. Big bed with good mattress and pillows. Balcony in every room...
The view is awesome. FOOD: breakfast is really cool: big choice of dishes, terrace with a sea view. Also we ordered food (tomato soup, risotto, salads) from the hotel restaurant nearby and it was so tasty. FACILITIES: gym, spa, 3 pools: one inside in spa zone and two outdoor pools with sun beds zone. Free parking for guests.
This resort offers everything you need if you do not want to go out - restaurants (with great food), bars, pools (with two adult-only pools, which was rather pleasant), cafeterias, sea, spa, gym, you name it. We had a really nice room with a sea view. The centre of Dubrovnik is about 10-15 minutes by taxi, so a really convenient location...
In general, we had a lovely holiday.
The hotel was very clean, the staff very attentive and helpful (we had an issue with a room when we arrived which was sorted), and observed safety rules.
There are two things that unfortunately were not satisfactory; the first issue was not enough sunbeds for such a huge place so if you did not get up early and reserve your bed, you simply didn't have one for most of the day.
Second was the way people behaved considering these rather challenging times. There is only one large buffet breakfast room and terrace catering for all the hotels in the resort and people did not really care about wearing masks when going inside and out getting their breakfast despite inside being very crowded. The same happened in elevators - while face mask signs were everywhere, many did not wear them. I'd suggest the hotel should implement some stricter measures.
We have just returned from the hotel and we can’t wait too return. The room which we had a suite with sea view was faultless a great size most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in 2 lovely bathrooms and a great kitchen area with the most breathtaking view. We ordered room service a few times which was very good...
We had an issue on the first day so I met with the general manager Tom who’s attention and customer service was excellent he couldn’t do enough for us. It was great to visit all the pools at the resort the sky bar was amazing. The indoor pool was a god send on a rainy day. We had lovely seafood at Zoe’s with an amazing view and nice lunches at la Castile great cocktails everything was just perfect. The location is great you can walk easily down the lovely promenade to lapad to shops and bars. We had a fabulous afternoon out on a private boat which was organised by johnie who stands next to the restaurant levanat another place to visit for food or drinks. Having travelled the world working for British Airways staying at many hotels this has got to be up among the best. Don’t look any further book this hotel.
What can I say within the first 5 minutes in the room I screamed with excitement then burst out crying we had been upgraded to a sea view Delux suite free of charge, I had enquired about the upgrade of a seaview room and decided we couldn’t allow it in our budget but my ideal dream holiday is the seaview and what a view, daily it took our breath away how beautiful it was. From that moment the holiday and time at The Princess and the royals resort exceeded our expectations in every way. The breakfast was plentiful with so much choice and something to suit every taste including a fresh pancake and omelette station. I was a little trepidatious about how we would fit in in a five star resort I neednt have worried it was luxury but not posh to the point that you felt uncomfortable...
The Restaurants are lovely and we found both the bistro and Castilles excellent quality and good value for money both the burgers and Lava cake tasted amazing. If you are not a sit around the pool person the area is full of natural beauty and we went on numerous walk around the peninsula to lots of harbours and coastal walks, I also enjoyed sitting around the pools too. Dubrovnik City is a must to visit the old town is full of majestic beauty like stepping into a film set and the views from up the Hill over the city are phenomenal. I have visited most of Europe, USA and Australia and I have yet to find somewhere as amazing and beautiful as Dubrovnik, Lapad Bay and the Royals resort, we have already booked to return Summer 2022 for 10 nights, we are excited already. If you’re considering booking here DO IT you will not be disappointed.
