Lovely

Review by eleninicosia Nicosia, Cyprus

I really liked this hotel. It has a great location near the centre of Limassol but at the beach at he same time. A relaxing place almost secluded...

Lovely swimming pools, there is one for adults one for kids and one for babies. Spacious rooms, definitely recommended.

Not what we expected

Review by mariebD400HT

We are currently staying at this hotel and paid nearly £3000 for 2 adults and a child. When we arrived late on Saturday there were twin beds and a cot. I immediately went to reception and stated my daughter was too big for a cot...

This is where the problem started. The reception staff were rude but eventually we got a third bed put in a VERY small room. I asked for a bigger room to which they said talk to the manager on sunday. We did this and she assured me she would speak with the reservations manager on monday. This didn't happen!! The manager was clueless which was even more frustrating. The room we had was also over the bar which was very noisy with music going on until 2am on the Saturday. This hotel feels disorganised and not up to the TUI style we are used to.

Okay but would not go again.

Review by lizaloohuddersfield Huddersfield

Having stayed at the Atlantica Imperial in Rhodes last year I was disappointed that this hotel was nowhere near a comparable standard. The room was basic with a broken wardrobe sliding door that my partner fixed. I cannot believe that this was not flagged up by cleaning staff as they must have opened the wardrobe when cleaning the room...

All inclusive does not include all drinks, an aperol spritz had to be paid for. Whilst reading all inclusive information, which we were not given at check in it does say sparking wine not included and cocktails you are entitled to are the ones written in red on the menu. Not experienced this before in all inclusive. Some days ‘milk’ was left by the kettle in the room, other days we had to ask for it. One day we only had 1 bath towel but 2 bath mats! Another day we only had 1 hand towel. Point of note if you want a picnic making up for a day out it must be ordered before 7pm the night before. Again, not armed with the information on check in we tried to order it about 9pm. An extremely rude receptionist refused to let us order. The Duty Manager was called who immediately resolved the issue. Could not order a gin and tonic in koi bar but could 20 meters away in Astoria bar🤷‍♀️. Buffet average. Cooked food nice flavor but not hot, just luke warm. Cooked meats available at Breakfast but not lunch. Tuna and salad gets a bit boring every day. Only choice of 3 cheeses, Red Leicester and cheddar and local ‘anari’ available for biscuits. Soup was gorgeous as were the sweets. Always a roast for dinner, cooked beautifully. Too many people not wearing masks or gloves when at buffet, could have been monitored better. In general, hotel clean and tidy but dated. Interestingly photos on website do not show basic rooms.

Unbiased review

A nice hotel right on the seafront, a little tired but very well kept. About a 40 minute drive from Larnaca Airport and a 15 minute bus ride from Limassol Harbour (Bus 1.50 Euro each way Taxi 10.00 Euro) Reception staff were very friendly and efficient, dining room staff mostly friendly but the older ones tend to bark orders at the younger ones but still very efficient. Not all drinks are included on the AI package (cocktails marked in red only) but the local spirits and beer are included. This does not apply at the Koi Bar where no drinks are free. Beach towels are provided. the adult swimming pool was lovely and quiet although very cold due to the time if year, cannot comment on the kids pool and amenities as we didn't use them. The entertainment was pretty poor most nights with the same singers warbling on in French when there were no French guests (Mon to Fri only) The food in the main dining room was pretty good (especially Mexican night) you will only struggle to find something you like if you're picky what you eat. The inland view rooms can be a bit noisy as you're close to the main road which can resemble Brands Hatch at night having said that the sea view rooms in the main block are close to the main bar and entertainment so you'll get noise there as well till about midnight. Rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with the usual tea/coffee, hair dryer, shampoo and shower gel etc. The showers in the rooms are fantastic but a little narrow so the shower curtain tends to attack you now and again. Linen was changed frequently. Guests can use the Spa facilities on departure day if no late room is available, there were very clean and practical so probably not worth paying the £79 for a late room. On the Saturday there was a wedding so the holidaymakers had to use the Mermaid restaurant which to be fair is nicer than the main restaurant. Now for the gripes - The area outside the hotel resembles a bit of a war zone so head to Limassol Harbour if you want scenery, it's a nice walk along the beach but quite a distance In the Red Room (once per stay max) you had to pay an extra 25.00 Euro per person to dine. Only 1 bottle of water in room on arrival and was never replaced. On the Sunday there was a baby shower, all the event guests had to use the main dining room so holidaymakers were having to wait about 10 minutes in the queue for food, hardly fair when we're paying for this. Why could they not use the Mermaid? (Smaller room) Really poor entertainment some nights. Highlights - Beautiful sea views Clean bright hotel Some absolutely amazing staff including Giannis and Andreas in the main bar purely for their enthusiasm, friendliness and efficiency. Also a shout to Kyriacos the facilities manager who frequently walked around keeping a tight ship and stopping regularly to see if we had any problems and enjoying our stay. I would recommend the Atlantica Miramare but would not class this as 4* plus it's 4 at best sorry guys.
