Atlantica Oasis

We have just returned from a Family trip to this hotel and had a lovely enjoyable experience. The hotel offers a nice balance of relaxation, family-friendly activities and convenient access to the main Limassol marina via the No 30 bus.

The hotel is an old hotel that has been refurbished throughout to a good standard. One thing they haven’t done is give the exterior main blocks a paint, they look tired and just need a good wash or paint.

We were a family of 5 (kids 17, 14 & 9) and had 2 rooms, which were adjoining, so gave us great flexibility and good sleeping arrangements. We did email the hotel prior to arrival to ask for this and also on the TUI app, so whether this helped or was pot luck, I am not sure, but was great to have. We stayed in the main block above the reception area, rooms 2203 and 2204. I think these rooms had been refurbed recently and were very presentable and clean with maid service 6 days a week. The only downside was the balcony. It was tiny. The AC was really good though and fridges to keep drinks in.

The pool area was good, nice large pool with seating areas in the shallow end. There is also a children splash pool with slides which is good for the little ones. There is also an adults only pool area, but we didn’t get the chance to use this, but it looked nice and had access to a pool bar.

The downside to the pool area was it got quite dirty around some areas of the loungers as the water didn’t drain properly, but mainly around the 1st line of sun loungers.

Sun loungers weren’t too much of a problem. If you want the 1st row, you need to be down with towels around 7.30/8am, but if you aren’t fussed about that you can get there later.

They have water stations around the hotel, which are good to fill your reusable water bottles up etc. Drinks are served in paper cups or plastic reusable cups during the day. The must go through a HUGE amount of paper cups, maybe there is possibly a better option than using so many each day!

You can eat breakfast lunch and dinner in the main buffet restaurant. Options vary and generally all to a good standard. Generally always something for everyone. During the day you can get toasties and salads etc from the Coffee/snack area which also serve cold drinks, beer and iced coffees etc. From 12-2 at the snack bar behind the pool bar they would serve things like hot dogs, burgers, gyros, chips each day so that was another good option for lunch. You can also eat at the Burger Lab, BBQ, A LA Carte or Italian. I think you get 2 of these for any 1 week stay. The Burger Lab is amazing, the burgers are excellent and it’s nice to have a sit down meal in the evening and have table service, just to break up the buffet merry go round.

The Entertainment team absolutely made this holiday for us though, they were ALL superb and are an absolute credit to the hotel. You had Christianos, Harriott, Charlotte, Anna, Reginna and Beren along with a team of other dancers who would help put on shows in the evenings. During the day the Entertainment team would put on pétanque, Darts, pool, pool games, aqua aerobics, water polo and were especially great with all the kids. Our kids, and us, absolutely loved hanging out with the team during the day and the evening. They would also put on quizzes and shows in the evenings along with Bingo each night at 9pm. The bar staff around the evening entertainment area were also great, waiting on everyone. There is also an Adults only bar area that you can sit in, with AI available in there until 12am.

We ventured into Limassol one day on the NUMBER 30 bus and was about 6 euros for all 5 of us one way. You can see they have invested heavily in the marina area which is really nice, but a little soulless, it’s not like your usual harbour/marina with lots of local restaurants and holiday shops etc, instead there was Wagamama’s and McDonalds. There were a few independent places, but didn’t really do it for us. We had a walk around the old town, but again, a little disappointing although a few more boutique shops etc.

Outside the Hotel is a bar called the Nags Head. We went for a meal there one night and it was brilliant, great portions and really good service. They show sport and also have an indoor pool/darts area that has AC and is open to 2am. We spent a couple of late nights in there!

Overall, Atlantica Oasis is a good choice for families and anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Limassol. Friendly service and it delivers pretty well across everything. It could just improve a few things like the cleanliness of the poolside area, stopping people from drinking their drinks in the pool, maybe have fresh juices for breakfast – minor things really in the grand scheme of things, but it could make it a better hotel in the long run.

We have just returned from our holiday and I have to say what a fantastic surprise It was i was very worried after reading some of the reviews but for us this holiday was perfect the hotel the staff absolutely fantastic reception always happy to help very welcoming ..bar staff brilliant really making sure we were looked after atmosphere around the pool fantastic wich I think strongly down to the entertainment team they are absolutely absolutely superb Christianos and the team wuaaw what a gem!!My children did not want to leave at all my daughter crying and they made it soooo special for us!Cannot thank and recommend enough!Hotel has no bbeach but there is one little one literally down the road and few bigger ones really close.Food at the hotel was absolutely amazing and really really tasty!We loved it at the Atlantica oasis hotel so much thank you for making our family holiday sooooo fantastic!
