The 5-star Royal Apollonia, part of the Louis Hotel Premium collection, overlooks the beach in the heart of Limassol's tourist area, within walking distance from shops, restaurants & bars. It offers convenience, comfort & service with good amenities. In 2012 the hotel was a fully renovated.
This hotel is not up to 5 star standard, my wife and I have stayed in better 3 star hotels. The rooms are small, the food is at best average and is seldom hot.
It is the only 5 star hotel in my experience where you have to take your pool towels back at the end of the day so that you can have some fresh ones for the following day and there is a charge of 15 euros for any towel not returned at the end of your stay.
There are two restaurants, other than the buffet, where you have to have the set menu otherwise there is a charge even when you're half board...
The buffet itself tends to be mainly repetitive, although they have a theme each night which does give a couple, but not a lot, of alternative dishes.
We had returned from another 5 star hotel just prior to this holiday and the difference between the two was unbelievable.
Nice Hotel, but I would recommend to book a room with the sea view as the other side of the hotel is facing the street side and is very loud due to heavy traffic. I want to mention very friendly help of receptionists Artemis and Panagiotis, thanks a lot for all your help and support!
what a place, i haven't been cyprus in 20 years and usually go turkey for winter sun, due to covid - 19 we couldn't travel to turkey so we chose to upgrade and pay extra for this holiday to cyprus... royal appolonia
cleanliness - 10 /10
cleaners every all day and constant cleaning, the bar staff always wiping and cleaning.
food & drink - 10/10
compared to turkey the food selection was alot less but the food was alot better quality, quality over quantity was deffo the case - we were all inclusive and every meal was top draw, the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and kind, christina and paulina and george were 10 / 10 so helpful and kind.
location - 5/10
the only thing we could pick...
holes in was the fact after dinner (we ate at 18.30pm ) we had nothing to do, shops all closed around the outside of the hotel, we travelled into old town limmasol and it was all closed we also went duering the day and 75% still closed. we enjoy a walk around the local shops looking at the general tourist tack... this wasn't possible unfortunately.
the beach is very small and made made but it was located perfect for amazing sun rise everyday. 6.15am.. catching the sun rise was a highlight of an amaing holiday
clean, tidy, very nice bit cold but the only reason i wouldn't give 10 /10 was the pool guy every morning removed and hid my towels yet kept his russian friends towels and other people who were lining his pockets with cash. i ended up having a shouting match on our final day when he removed my towel and kept 6 other couples on the beds...
a massive amount of love and respect to the staff... very good.. very friendly and very helpful. again huge thanks to paulina, christina and george band all the restaurant workers... i .. and my partner will miss you and we appreciate the hard work you put in.

The Royal Apollonia is one of the best hotels not only in Limassol but also in Cyprus. We had a spacious bright room. The breakfast with champagne was impressive...
The professional staff was always helpful and quick.
Wonderful stay with family in this really nice hotel. Staff , Rooms , facilities & Buffet a real treat - can’t wait to return and have no reservation in recommending this Hotel highly enough. We thankfully opted for a fully inclusive package which proved marvellous value for money...
A short shout out to Yianoulla, George & Paulina in the restaurant who looked after us spectacularly and accommodated my 1 year granddaughter every whim!!
