Limassol

If you're tempted by Limassol's wonderful beaches, its many tourist amenities, or even its vineyards, then The Royal Apollonia (formally the Apollonia Beach Hotel) has got to be high on your list of places to stay. In 2013 this majestic five-star facility underwent a full renovation and additions to the hotels already impressive selection of facilities include the creation of new à la carte restaurant and a fabulous island-shaped outdoor pool. Choose this property for your Cyprus holiday and you'll be right at the heart of Limassol, in among the hustle and bustle. With countless restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, it's a thriving holiday home – but still within sight of the tranquil Troodos mountains and a whole other side of Cyprus.

Choose The Royal Apollonia for a luxurious five-star experience:

Take a moment to savour the setting: The Royal Apollonia, with mountains to the north and, below you, the glittering Mediterranean and a perfect sandy beach. Sounds idyllic doesn't it? Then factor in all the benefits of the Limassol location, plus all the amenities of a five-star hotel, part of the Louis Hotel Premium Collection, and you know you're in for a wonderful holiday.

With so many things to do, the time is going to fly by. Take a short stroll into town and soak up the vibe; there's always something new to see in Limassol, perhaps somewhere to eat and while away the hours…

Take a trip up into the mountains and enjoy the stunning views – you'll get a whole new perspective on Cyprus from up there. Or spend a day making the most of what The Royal Apollonia has to offer. The delightful indoor and outdoor pools are just the start, the gym centre features sauna and steam room; the games room is well-stocked, and there is tennis to enjoy too.

Dining at The Royal Apollonia is another treat– with Japanese, Greek and brassiere menus on offer, you'll have plenty to give your taste buds the holiday they deserve too.

As for your room, sitting out on your balcony, you'll look out over the Troodos mountains. And your in-room facilities, including air-conditioning/heating (Nov-Apr), satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer, minibar, tea & coffee facilities, bathrobes & slippers, 24-hour room service, Fruits & Bottle of water on arrival & individual safe boxes and Wi-Fi will make it a very comfortable stay. Seaview and a selection of other room upgrades are available at a supplement.

All of this – and great weather all year round – make Limassol and The Royal Apollonia perfect destination, whenever you need a holiday that's full of sun and full of possibilities.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Excellent hotel who thrive on excellent customer service

Review by JulesReviews2015 Hertfordshire, United Kingdom

The Royal Apollonia Hotel deserves the 5 star ratings it consistently gets. The customer service is excellent in every part of the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff...

The reception staff greet you with a welcoming smile and genuinely want to ensure you have the best holiday.

The Assistant Manageress is very friendly and makes time to speak to all hotel guests.

The communal parts of the hotel are kept to a very high standard and are spotlessly clean.

The outdoor pool is fantastic. A big shout out to the life guard Stella who is very welcoming and makes sure that all the guests are happy. The pool attendants are brilliant too, always ready to assist if you want to move the direction of the sun bed or need an extra umbrella.

The dining facilities are of a very high standard. We chose half board and apart from the usual buffet, you can also eat at the Greek and Japanese restaurants once a week. All the food was excellent. The waiters/waitresses are very friendly and helpful.

The housekeeping is fantastic. Our room was cleaned and ready by midday every day.

I would strongly suggest getting a sea view room as the inland view is very noisy with motor bikes screeching up and down the road. We moved rooms because of this and it made a big difference to our stay.

The hotel were trialling their app whilst we were there called Exclusivi which I have to say is a great asset to the service they provide. You can order your drinks from your sun-bed which get delivered within 5 minutes of the order being received. There are also other features eg housekeeping, room service, spa bookings etc which you can use from the app.

It has been 3 years since our last family holiday due to Covid, so we had very high hopes and expectations for this holiday and the Royal Apollonia did not disappoint, we had a fantastic time and hope to return in 2023.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!

Review by autowash stanstead

Having returned from our holiday on 6th June 2022, I wanted to share our experience, and enlighten on what to expect whilst staying at the Royal Apollonia. The service alone is enough to make you want to return. ALL the staff greet you with a smile...

From reception to restaurant to pool area you are always made to feel special and nothing is ever too much trouble. That service is also extended to housekeeping, and if you can get a room on the 4th floor, you may just be fortunate enough to have Melina to care for your room. She is not just good at her job (that's expected I guess) but goes way beyond the call of duty to ensure your stay is just perfect. Treat yourself to a meal at the Japanese restaurant. It's fantastic and the portions are huge! George and his team do an exceptional job of running the main buffet restaurant where the food was very good but perhaps a little repetitive, when staying for two weeks as we did. If you select to stay here you won't be disappointed, I'm sure of that, as Paulina, the hotel manager, clearly spend time training her staff, and that shines through in abundance. Well done all and thank you. Barry and Sandra room 408.

Still excellent

This was our sixth visit to the Royal Apollonia and once again did not disappoint. Again we had a sea view room, which we would recommend - very clean with a nice balcony overlooking the pool and sea - we had a fully inclusive package. The staff were extremely friendly and it was nice to meet up again with George, Costos and Yianthoulla in the restaurant and particularly good to see Rafael had returned...

A couple of other staff to mention were Altek in the lounge area and Martin from the outside bar area. There was excellent choice of freshly prepared food for all meals. Once again we had a wonderful holiday and will be returning. Thank you to the Manager and his great staff for taking care of us once again.

Still fabulous

Review by Julie J Derby, United Kingdom

This was a return visit to the Royal Apollonia and it didn't disappoint . We had booked a Seaview room which is recommended (see other reviews) . All of the staff here are highly trained in customer service, always smiling and I never heard a complaint from any guest anywhere...

The rooms are immaculately clean with everything you could ask for, loved the Caudalie toiletries especially the body lotion which was exquisite. The food was excellent and everything was beautifully presented where possible. If people complain about the food, I would love to see where they eat as there was ALWAYS something to suit everyone, it was simply delicious. It was my husbands birthday while we were there, and when we returned mid afternoon to our room, there was a bottle of sparkling wine along with a beautiful cake, a truly lovely touch - thank you. There was only a couple of gripes, we arrived late at the hotel so were unable to go in the Restaurant, I had emailed the hotel twice before our visit to ask if it was possible to have something in our room but never had a response, also with all inclusive, this stops at 12 with check out normally. Which means you loose out on day one and again on your last day especially when it's a late flight. We were able to have Lunch but drinks stopped at 2pm our pick up was 7pm with others leaving even later. This is something that perhaps the hotel could take up with tour operators as it did leave a little sour note on our last day, yes we could've bought drinks (& we did in fairness) but we did feel we'd been left a little out of pocket especially with our booking all inclusive. Small gripe but it didn't spoil an otherwise fabulous stay. Martin around the pool deserves a special mention, he constantly walked around the pool, taking orders, bringing drinks, collecting glasses always with a smile and a pleasant demeanour- credit to the hotel ! We heard a couple of people saying they didn't like walking outside the hotel, it's really not a problem it's very safe and the bus stop is right there on the doorstep and at €1.50 pp for a trip into Limassol its well worth doing, my husband met a lovely local Fisherman who was fascinating and spoke excellent English explaining about the two fish he caught and their dangerous (hidden) spines on their fins. All in all a wonderful holiday and we'll definitely return , maybe with Jet2 , maybe under our own steam!

Thank you all at Royal Apollonia for taking care of everyone, you deserve to retain your 5 * status .
