Honest Review

Review by Lisa S

Honest review. Back last Monday after 1wk. Short delay at the airport & arrived at the hotel about 1am...

Nowhere in the hotel to get food or drink other than a glass of water. Luckily McDonald's is just a few mins walk.

3 of us in a twin room, ground floor, pool side. Room was clean and spacious but quality of the towels left a lot to be desired. Shower good, but sink didn't have cold water, it always run warm (not great for brushing teeth). 30+ every day and aircon in the room worked well. Patio area was clean and enough room to sit out.

Pools a decent size. Pool area wasn't the cleanest. Often littered with plastic glasses & straws which are still there the following day. Ice cream and food on the floor attracting ants. Pool open 9am - 6pm. I felt this was a little early to close the pool. Most nights after the life guard had gone most people got back in again. The pools would look much better if the area was cleaned regularly and they were lit up at night.

Food was ok & clearly labelled. Not a massive choice but never struggled to find something to eat. The staff were very efficient at serving you drinks and clearing the tables.

Food at the snack bar wasn't too bad. No food available after 9pm until breakfast. Most nights the bar closed at 11.30.

Entertainment was dire. Mostly in Russian. I'm not sure if it was due to COVID and less people being there that they seemed to have very few staff. The staff that were working worked very hard and long days. Maybe this was the reason for the poor Entertainment.

Waterpark was nothing special, a little dated and the walls around the lazy river & wave pool could do with a good clean. The pool bar in the waterpark was closed. Luckily it isn't far to get a drink from the snack bar in the hotel. Anyway, it kept the kids busy for a few hours and there was enough loungers.

All the staff seemed friendly & helpful. Most working long hours. I think as the hotel is running at reduced capacity some standards may have slipped. The location is great for exploring Ayia Napa. Close enough to everything but far enough to be relaxed.

The holiday was quite cheap so I didn't expect too much. I would say we got what we paid for. It is 3* at best. Looking at prices for next year, I wouldn't bother. It would definitely need to improve for me to justify paying the usual prices.

Nice family break in Ayai Napa

Review by Shamir S London, United Kingdom

For high season value for money this is a good bet. I wouldn’t really consider it a 4 star. The food is sub standard for a 4 star...

We weren’t all inclusive so we’re ordering al a Carte, or should I say al a Carte once, once was enough.

Breakfast is your standard aluminous yogurt, jelly sausages and odd looking scrambled eggs. The toasters only heat the bread up so you have to put them through twice minimum.

Having said all that, the room we had faced the pool. The pool had plenty of loungers and activity. People were having fun. The lifeguards are all 16-18 year old girls not sure if they could save a kid let alone an adult. Today I saw one of them taking selfies with kids for a couple mins whilst ignoring the pool, that’s definitely an amateur move.

The water slide area of the park is great, kids have been loving it each day. Plenty for them to do. Loungers and shade are at a premium they could do with a few more provisions. The staff at the water park are very nice.

Location is great 5/5 Right next to the sea and the fun fair which the kids like.

Having read the previous reviews I was put off but my family and myself would recommend this hotel. We have had fun…..

Just good…Definitely not a resort

Review by Maraki N

Very disappointed…the room service was awful. Every time we had to ask for towels because they forgot to put them. The room floor was dirty and there were hairs everywhere...

The air conditioner makes noises. The stair to the rooms was very dirty. The cokes at the pool bar was like water and in small plastic cups. Big portions of meals but not tasty.

Hotel from hell!

Review by Chadi-Kouatly Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

This is the hotel from hell. if you value your and your family's health, turn around and choose another hotel. The breakfast is a disaster...

There are roaches in the rooms (i saw that this has been previously reported by other travelers). The toilet has a sewage smell. The exhaust duct coming out of the kitchens below us, is located right below our balcony, hence, we could not use the balcony for the 14 days period of our stay. I requested to cancel my booking and get a refund so that I can move to another hotel, the management was so arrogant that they did not even get back to me whether yes or no. The general manager of the hotel was notified about the spoiled eggs, his reply was no, the eggs are not spoiled. I will let you decide after you see the pictures. In addition, forget about the cleanliness, house keeping or clean towels!

Bring your own food, or better yet, don’t go!

Review by Icchok Kadima, Israel

I gave them a two instead of a one because the lifeguards (mostly girls) were really cute and always smiling. The hotel has no air conditioning in public areas and in the rooms when we called maintenance we were told it was too hot for the compressors to work properly.

Now for the food...

I lack words. I spent three years in a refugee camp were we ate out of buckets between floggings and it was far superior. They offer the cheapest ingredients and the preparation is just horrible. Lunch was just abysmal and dinner was worse. They even screwed up breakfast. How is that possible? I saw many of the Russian guests were satisfied, but these were probably people who lived through the siege of Stalingrad. The kids ate dry pasta, no sauce was offered. My other grandson only had luke warm watermelon. They do have a water park which the kids enjoyed, but in no way does it make up for the inexcusable “food” and lack of AC.
